I'm terrible at physics. If I were to guess, I'd say it depends on how slick the tracks are and how much traction the wheels have, but most likely yes because what idiot puts tracks through possible steep, cold, and snowy conditions without preparing for it. I'm a manifestation, so pretty supernatural. And since when has this ever helped town? This is part of the trouble I'm having. I have a very difficult time seeing the difference between Annoying Town Verti and Aggressive Scum Verti. So, instead, I'm going off of the read I get from iLikeToSnipe. Frankly, I'm inclined to believe he is town. He pulled a strange gambit, got the information he wanted, pressed on what he saw were scumtells, and has had rather consistent casing so far. I'm not 100% certain, but given the choice between iLTS and Verti, iLTS reads as more town to me. ##vote Verti60

Argh, decisions, decisions. I'm getting townreads from both iLTS and Verti, but I'm not sure which I believe more. I'll have to ponder this for a bit, as well as consider the possibility that they're both town.

As tempting as it is to vote him up, I don't think it was necessarily a slip on his part. He makes those kinds of comments a lot; essentially getting into scum/TP perspective in a somewhat mocking manner. I don't know why, but it reads typical Verti to me.

Actually, it just occured to me that this line kind of breaks down considering Sunflower wasn't able to properly respond at the time. The crux of what I wanted to examine was iLTS' gambit, and it was all a bunch of speculation. He knows what he was looking for, though, and as such I'll let him pick that pile apart. Other than that, onto the "r u scum" thing. Let's look at the responses, shall we? This time, I wasn't looking for anything in particular. The meta that it's supposed to sift out scum by seeing if people respond with a joke or a straight answer or a joke is well known and hasn't been effective, so this was more of a "throw-shit-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks" situation. Mainly I was wondering if everyone would respond the same way, if there were any patterns, if there was any challenges to my method, etc... Full disclosure, I expected this to be a dud. It's too stupid and to well known to work. The only challenge I got was iLTS, and even then it came from a town perspective, which made me immediately rule him out from being scum (and also a clue to me that he was pulling a gambit). But what's really interesting is the lack of response from either Cat5 or Verti60. Odd that they would ignore it entirely while everyone else was fine with responding. Why would they flat-out ignore this? And sure, maybe it was due to them not being around at the time, but neither were ChopBam or Nodlied, who had no problem acknowledging the question while I was away. One of these two stands out to me more than the other. More on that momentarily.

Darn it, iLTS. I was halfway through a paragraph talking about how I thought that you were pulling a gambit, and there you go and lay it out! Alright, with this in mind, gonna go back to the rest of what I was going to talk about.

The abridged version is; I don't trust you, and Shade's too wild for me to think that he might be scum. He's usually much more reserved. Stay tuned for a more in-depth analysis in about 3 hours, AKA 24 hours since the game began. Until then, I'm just watching.

It's definitely not a laser-guided "gotcha" tactic, but it's as good of a start as any, I suppose. Although, admittedly, it is becoming more of a meme 'round these parts.

From what I can see, it was a combination of notifications, flavor, and limiting Shade's ability. All of these seemed to severely hamper scum. Yeah but it's only in my games that it's been a major flaw. To me, the connecting thread is obvious.
