It's different for everyone.
A colleague of mine was very ill for a month and took another one to recover. Another old colleague of mine lost three family members in quick succession to the Coronies. Meanwhile yet another one didn't notice anything whilst sitting at home. I've also been infected back in June. Though for me, I only had a very shitty Saturday evening and Tuesday afternoon. The rest of the week consisted mostly of being a bit tired. No other effects.
Sad to hear that you were hit like that though.
Yeah, I was certainly on the more extreme end. Took a lot a year to mostly recover. Getting a lot of rest early on probably helped to keep it from getting too bad.

I assure you, my mental state is perfectly normal. I'm ready to find some scum.
I did feel perfectly fine for two days after losing my sense of taste and smell. Then it hit me like a freight train, worst it got I wasn't able to stand and was bedridden.

I'm positive ya'll. So I'm not allowed to go to work for 2 weeks. No symptoms yet.
If you get any bad symptoms and want advice on anything that can alleviate them, just let me know. Been there done that.
Just don't take horse dewormers.

I'm way too busy for mafia right now. Might have time again in a couple months.

I'm going to have to sit this one out. Getting really busy and I don't think that's going to let up anytime soon.

This combined with a variation on the practice night action is probably about the best you can get staying with variations of 1/4. Stuck becomes of normal, misses become notable, and kills become tells. Practice ensures that scum can always have a fallback if they get a kill.
Why not just remove "stuck"? Just have miss and hit.

I've thought about that. Have a jammer in play to obscure results until it's destroyed.
That being said, I really don't think it's as much of a game changer as people are saying it is., especially if most of the daykills have a low kill chance.
It can be used to hurt town or scum. But it seems in practice to start out as being pro-town but then it quickly narrows down who is who as people die and roles flip. Overall, that's going to favor town more than scum.
I do like how it can be used, but it seems to have too much of an impact on the game compared to standard scum hunting.

Also @Retaliation
In regards to "you are both more and less clever than you think you are" that's because it was quite the complicated gambit, but people pulling it frequently forget that the other players have info that they themselves don't have. Therefore, the mere act of suggesting you're playing smart generally gives away the secret that you're not the role you're claiming to be.
A delay would have helped for my activity too, but just for uncontrollable reasons. Had a root canal and it took a bit longer than usual... so my time this game was much more limited than I was expecting. That and I tried "town" posting stuff without actually reading everything. One of these days I'll be town again

Morning all. I’ll be driving home from South Carolina today, but hopefully will be home an hour before hammer. Please keep the CvC as updated as you can. @Louis will need to resolve any shoot actions while I’m away. In case she’s busy though, just tag us in the same post as your action and it’ll be resolved when we can get to it.
Alright everyone, time to start shooting.

Your argument supports making the game easier for Mafia rather than Town by choosing to discredit solid pieces of evidence that should point towards a players alignment.
After ignoring such arguments last game made my Mafia, I'm even less inclined to ignore it this game.
Just because I was mafia doesn't mean you were right.

Go fuck yourself, I'm neutral.
Also I think you're blatantly trying to accuse me of taking one side on the issue when I've made plenty of arguments in both directions.

An astoundingly deep response from Cat5.

Actually I'm kinda on the fence about it. I don't think I would put up a fight about it either way. While it's true that a miss result strongly suggests a Conscript role, by contrast any result other than miss doesn't say a whole lot. And the chances of getting a miss as a Conscript is still only 56%.
Having 2 or 3 Conscripts effectively cleared though, could be powerful. That could be a strong town core and could flip Mafia into wanting to kill the clears rather than the power roles.
Trying to keep up with everything, but I really don't like this. People who miss aren't "effectively cleared" because a town role has a very high chance to miss. There is certainly the statistical argument that they are more likely to be that role, but as we saw last game people can still hit or miss when they're more likely to have the other result. Treating it more than just the percent chance likelihood and wandering into the "confirmed town" territory was wrong then and it's wrong now.
Anyone who misses is more likely to be a conscript, but we're missing another piece of the puzzle. That's the piece mafia has, because they know everybody's alignment already. The only side that gets any close to confirmed is mafia, it gives them a better picture as to who they should try night killing.
Conscripts shooting everyone willy-nilly has a higher chance at killing town than mafia, gives mafia an advantage at finding power roles, and eliminates future kill attempts that could be used against revealed mafia. I'm always sus of Shade, so this doesn't scum read to me for him. Cat5 says he's neutral on it, but his words seem otherwise. His posts about are only about how "powerful" it could be to town while discussing none of the disadvantages.
Scum reading Cat5, but not enough to vote on D1. I'm in favor of a nolynch today.

Is the game any good?
If you like turn-based 4X games and a scifi setting, then you'll absolutely enjoy it. It's taking a bit to figure it out, but it feels like an incredibly deep game. There is currently an ultimate bundle for it on Steam.

Unfortunately, I bought Galactic Civilizations 3 right before the game started and I have fallen ill with One More Turn Syndrome...
I've now read through and I'm mostly caught up. Unfortunately, I have a pretty solid town read on Shade right now so he's got to stick around. I don't have much more to go off yet.

Give Shade the giant squid role. Have it die D1 because there's no water.

Sorry! School slows me down when It comes to being online.
You don't have to participate all throughout the day or know everything that happened. If you're town, focus on what you can notice that seems like something mafia would do, then take the time to discuss it.

That could be true APB Mafia with harvester dumps and whatnot.
I'd also have base classes that everyone would be assigned randomly (the amount and type would be where the foundational balance for the game comes from). So maybe certain abilities (i.e. cop ability) can only be purchased by a specific base class or an item has bonus effects for different classes.
When I have time to host a game (sometime in 2021) I can just create a topic with a poll on what to run.

Can confirm. Being fucked up for life sucks. Yeah, it's not the most likely thing to happen. But I'm fortunate enough that I can make due without the nonexistent help of the American government. I know far too many others from support groups who aren't that lucky though. This shit is serious, people are killing themselves rather than live with the after effects.
That's all I'll say on the topic. I'm here to play mafia, not argue.
