  1. As for my behavior, as I said before I don't like to rely on player meta and prefer to draw my conclusions through fact. That is why especially after two nights of no deaths I felt comfortable getting things into the open and asking questions. This is possible, but it will mean Nodlied is not a building, and will also mean there is another Allied player among us. Visceroids cannot chronoshift, unless things got really wacky.
  2. The only one who has claimed I may not be a building is you so far, and that was after I started thinking of you as an Allied building. I don't call that eager. If you're suggesting we lynch a building claim to keep the count safe for today, that could work. We have to consider, though: Killing_You and Moonsense have guns. There's the chance they miss their shot and put themselves into autoloss by outing, but if there's another chronoshift tonight or a regular kill, then their guns have more impact.
  3. Category5, I've asked earlier today for your entire thoughts on this puzzle, including what you interpret as fact and what circumstantial events the unknowns must have in order to fit into the puzzle. Would you care to post such? He said he received a second shot from Chaos. He didn't mention whether it was for the same gun or if he has a new chance percentage.
  4. This is why I'm asking if allies can have a base defense, as he did shoot before and couldn't be lynched. It's 2:30 am and I can't decide if this would make it nigh-impossible for soviets to win or it is not the case at all. Can someone convince me please? I suppose from looking outside inward, it could be argued that I might be a Pillbox or Turret. But, what's the point of that? I wouldn't be able to visit, and with half of the Soviets building roles, they wouldn't be able to visit me to be shot at. It doesn't make sense to give Allies a base defense role.
  5. I never said I had a second shot. I recall saying specifically that I don't have a second shot. It's in a post all by itself. And of course they could be used on myself. I haven't made it a point to count myself out of that. But, seeing as I am Soviet, I'm not going to bother mentioning it.
  6. You're insistent on getting me killed and it's hilarious. Name the two things. I only mentioned one and it's a basic given--that I'll shoot third party infantry who visit me as well as Allies.
  7. We must choose who out of Nodlied or Cat5 to shoot. If the shots fail to kill the intended target, we try lynching them as neither Cat5 nor Nodlied have been proven building via lynch.
  8. I shot and missed Mojoman a day ago. As for my not appreciating your loyalty, well, objectively, expressing undying loyalty isn't a good idea in a mafia game. For example, I'm not groveling at CK's feet. We understand who is clear and who is not, and we search for scum. Regarding Nodlied. We already know he is a building based on his quotes a while back. There is no point in lynching him unless any shots fired on him miss.
  9. Em, where did I say that Nodlied is a chronosphere? I think you are trying to make it look like I said something I didn't. You didn't. I could have written that sentence better. Changes in bold to show what I meant.
  10. Alright, lunch break! Well, dinner for me. Anyway, I have three possible outcomes for this puzzle. I'll elaborate more on them when asked about specific ones, but I might not get to them until later tonight or tomorrow before my next shift. 1) Category5 and ChopBam are a scumteam. This is supported by the gamebreaking balance issues that come with a Soviet War Factory. Logically, it just doesn't work unless Allies are in the game and they have a rocket soldier. Category5 is an Allied factory and produced a chronotank for ChopBam. This is supported by ChopBam being the only one able to confirm Category5's role for the time being. Nodlied, then, is either a Soviet building or a visceroid. 2) Nodlied is a chronosphere, which would explain the lack of nightkills as buildings cannot visit. This is also the easiest outcome. 3) Nodlied, Moonsense, or Killing_You are actually a chrono legionnaire. As Chaos_Night says, Nodlied being a chronosphere is the easiest and most simple outcome. We would have to discard the notion that scum buildings cannot exist. Here are my proposed solutions to the issue: We shoot both Cat5 and Nodlied, either at the same time or by a vote for who gets shot first. If by some act of divine RNGesus trickery neither are Allies, then we have only two targets remaining. Mafia edit: Note: these theories all operate within the absolute FACT that a chrono-power is among us.
  11. That gimmicky war factory is more of a building than you are right now. But that is a good point. I'm sure we all had more vote totals than Cat5 yesterday and nothing happened. Unless the chrono thing is what happened.
  12. The autodecline and soft-counterclaim to my Flame Tower claim is enough. He must be a building. I doubt he can explain away those two big juicy tells. If he's lying and does have a gun (Chaos, do you get confirmation if your invitations are accepted?), then he's scum and we shoot him. Category5, what are your complete thoughts on this puzzle? I'd like to know what you interpret as the facts and what is the circumstantial requirement for the unknowns to fit together.
  13. APCs are underused? huh..... I never knew that... I see them pretty much all the time on maps without shocks/volkovs. That's in part because I don't pay attention to the new stats and just like using APCs
  14. I just had a thought: If one more person votes Nodlied, it's a hammer. Look who isn't voting. Cat5, myself, Nodlied, and Moonsense. It might not be much since Nodlied does soft a building, but still, if the chronoshift power is something that can be consistently used by scum (akin to nightkills), scum would want to hammer, especially with two guns in play. I don't think this helps one theory over another, though. What helps more is the flavor of ChopBam's disappearance. I'd like to believe that Chaos is on the money--if ChopBam is a chronotank, we likely wouldn't have our memories erased. That would make ending this game so much easier. However, the only difference between a chronotank and a chronosphere is the conjuring of chrono vortexes, according to the C&C wiki. This lends itself to the possibility that ChopBam chronoshifted himself in self-defense, since Cat5 cannot produce another tank for him; he has no weapon. And recall that ChopBam wanted to save his weapon and not shoot Mojoman.
  15. That's not hard to guess. Sun shines, birds chirp, I give out training invitations to people I have some trust in. It also makes no sense for ChopBam to disappear and be scum tbh. According to the day start post, we forgot he even existed. This reeks of the Chronolegionnaire handiwork. That does seem the most probably theory. Nodlied, it's time to fess up.
  16. Another possibility is that ChopBam chronoshifted himself out to be protected for the day. This assumes the scumteam knew that Chaos would arm someone today.
  17. That's good news, and it's even more of a mystery since scum could have chronoshifted Chaos out of the ring as a confirmed town. Why chronoshift ChopBam? Mafia edit: I have theories. First, it may be possible that scum did not realize Chaos would grant additional guns. Second, it's possible that scum did not know Chaos was clear and chose ChopBam based on loosely reading the game. Third, ChopBam may have been protecting Category5, who was the real target. Finally, it may be a ploy by ChopBam to take suspicion off the scumteam.
  18. The only one with a shot remaining, unless you have another shot, in which case we have even more to consider.
  19. I wouldn't allow a lynch unless whoever gets shot flips scum. It's too close and too risky otherwise.
  20. Hey, don't blame me. This game is insane. Plus I can't help but find it increasingly suspicious that you started jumping on me again after you found out moonsense had a gun. Moonsense, do not under any circumstances shoot your gun until the majority of us give a signal. We can always do a ##vote shoot if necessary.
  21. IS IT NOW!? THAT IS VERY INTERESTING! It's funny that you're obsessed with me. You just said it's over if we mislynch, so it stands to reason that it's over if we misfire too. Or was your statement false?
  22. Excuse me? We would vote no one. The game is also over if we misfire and kill a Soviet, which is why I'm even making these arguments. If Nodlied refuses to claim then we shoot him.
  23. Regarding the decision: if Nodlied is a building we have a wasted lynch. Neither Nodlied or Cat5 can be lynch targets today, at least not before we attempt to shoot Nodlied if we do decide on him. The order of operations should be thus: 1. Nodlied claims. 2. If Nodlied somehow explains his statements in a way that makes sense and is not a building, Cat5 gets shot and Nodlied gets lynched. 3. If Nodlied is a building, we deliberate who to shoot out of Cat5 and Nodlied. Either way, this court cannot proceed without further testimony.
