Well, my only goal was to give us all something to keep our brains busy while we're (most likely) quarantined and social distancing. Psychologically, a person can deteriorate quickly under these circumstances.

Honestly I think you or Nodlied are best suited to GM this kind of game. I don't mind trying, I just have the opinion that it would flow better with either of you history buffs.

I want to show the basic premise of this game early on. It's still in the design phase, so it will be a few days before I open signups. If anyone decides they like the design enough to co-mod or even volunteer to enhance (I don't have much experience with complex RPG games like this), please speak up. Again, this is planning phase, so don't go nuts on me over game balance and mechanics and whatnot *cough* Shade *cough*

Richmond area, Virginia here. Went to the local grocery at 7am this morning while everyone else was either sleeping or on their morning commute or getting ready for work. They didn't get a truck today, so I expect grocery restocks to become less frequent over time (used to be every Tuesday). Found some TP at a dollar general on my way home, so I'm now the 1%. Like it or not this is going to change the world. It's not going to go back to normal in a few months. There will be economic changes, new emergency policies put in place, etc. And there will be investigations into how this really began and who to hold responsible. Hint: It's probably not from bat soup.

You guys want to be viruses? I was thinking along the lines of the Ausgleich RPG only with players taking on the role of nations deciding how to handle an epidemic with consequences that may lead to human extinction.

Mafia is a debating game where scum try to overthrow the town, which usually has greater numbers at the start. They do this by performing nightkills and other tactics during "night phases" to shrink town numbers and throw town players off the trail. Town players, on the other hand, need to find and lynch all the scum via vote during the day phase, which is where the debating occurs. Some town players can perform skills during the night phase to assist in their efforts. This particular game has RPG elements, so it'll be more complex than the basic mafia overview above. If you look at some of the previous games, you'll see many heated moments and shitposts. Your personality seems like a good fit for such shenanigans.
