  1. The objects aren't inherently anything, aside from the ability to see shinigami, and some metaphysics that we don't need to worry about for the purposes of this game, such as regenning pages and not being able to go to the afterlife if you use them. I highly doubt there's any danger to just looking.
  2. Lore wise though people have looked at it and nothing happened to them. They're not inherently trapped.
  3. To be fair, Nod, you and CK were tripping my scum senors pretty hard for awhile simply by being so vocal.
  4. You've had that planned for awhile, at least since you changed your avatar
  5. We're pretty much down to FRAYDO at that point, or someone else playing town very very convincingly.
  6. If all of this is true, btw, it means we have absolutely no idea what Kira is up to besides an inactive Misa... so yay for detective work, boo for not being anywhere close to winning
  7. From all I can tell, Jeod "can't lose", so he can afford to be. He *can* lose, but that just entails him being too slow to do some things. As long as we're not 'in danger' of winning, he has all the time in the world.
  8. I'm trying to assure you it's not all sunshine and daisies for the rest of us either Also to be fair, Jeod, KY, and CK all definitely know the lore way better than me. That's what my original comment there was about. KY and I seem to think very similarly, but I took that as him remembering some lore I'd forgotten, which made me remember. I too am very interested in these investigation results now. Depending on what happens, a lot of my purely internal logic is about to get it's mind blown. Can't really elaborate until others do as it might risk some people's position on the taskforce.
  9. If Verti's goal was to crank this game's detective factor up to 11, I think it's safe to say he succeeded.
  10. You thinking you know who Nod is makes me think I know who he is.
  11. Well I mean, anyone can claim anything. But that said, while Nodlied isn't squeaky clean, I wouldn't read anything at all from the use of "I" here What I'm really interested in is what CK thinks will happen if the investigation lands on him today.
  12. Well there's Kira and then Kira helpers, yeah, so it's not quite as simple, but was glossing over that. TBH if this is the case, Jeod's goal is probably to recover the notebook *before* we finish up, which would put us at minor odds, but again, it's not like he'd actively be trying to screw us.
  13. Indeed, I'd be fine with it then too, but if we've found Kira we've technically won, so it'd really just be fluff, kinda, heh.
  14. I'm not afraid of meeting with you, what I'm afraid of is who you will meet with. It actually ties in with the theorycraft. I think you're Sidoh. You're not Rem, Rem would be too obvious, though I'm sad Voe's not Rem (if that's true, who knows, but I feel he doesn't know enough Death Note to fake who he is ) If you were Ryuk, you'd be with Kira. You've not been playing to indicate you're with Kira. However, you have been EXTREMELY confident in your ability to remain untouched, like a shinigami would be. D1 you didn't bat an eyelash at the votes on you, and your posts early afterwards really seemed like you were just annoyed at not being able to meet, though I know others disagree with my assessment there. If you're not Ryuk or Rem, you're Sidoh, and what does Sidoh want? He just wants his damn notebook back. That's reasonable, and not harmful for the town even. You'd really want the ability to meet, so you can go to the person with your original notebook and do whatever you need to do (and Sidoh's book is real, obviously, for everyone else's benefit). However, if you just get your book back, good for you, but that prevents one link to Kira. Our goal isn't to get the Deathnote, it's to stop Kira.
  15. Got ninja-ed there. Yeah, we'd need to put the trust on Jeod too for anyone to go check him. Also depending on what we mean by 'check' I'm not exactly equipped to do so beyond having a nice pleasant conversation.
  16. That's a very good question.... it's possible, I guess, but I don't have enough info to rate how likely it is, or how it compares to our other theories right now. We kinda just had a big wrench thrown into the gears. Up to the task of what? I'll put myself on the line to meet with people, but if we let Jeod out of the box he can go where he pleases.
  17. I'm not so sure letting Jeod out of the box is a good idea. My assessment of him not being a threat is contingent on him not being able to meet people, similar to my assessment of Cat 5 right now.
  18. @Voe: Teru had a fake notebook, but if we're in the arc that we now seem to be via new evidence, then that points to no Teru and instead Kyosuke Higuchi, the corporate guy.
  19. *on all the ones out there being real, realized my post grammar wasn't the most to the point I could
  20. Also remember the theory that Misa had some kind of magic passive ability to get rid of the notebook people liked too, though. That would change the calculus. If that's what happened I'd wager yours is real and that IF CK is lying then he's trying to get arrested because he has the fake one to throw us off the scent. As it stands, though, I'd still put more money on real Death Notes being out there.
  21. It's been awhile since I've seen the series (I really should watch it again... tempted), but I'm pretty sure even opening it wouldn't really tell you. You'd only know when your target didn't drop dead. For what it's worth, I am AGAINST using anyone as a guinea pig for that
