  1. So... what if we called the SEAL's weapon the MP5-N/10? That variant never actually existed, but is a theoretical what-if based on a combination the MP5/10 (10mm Auto caliber) and the existing MP5-N. What if the MP5-N had been produced in a 10mm caliber variation, giving it a higher damage rating than the MP5K. Also, the accuracy difference is due to the MP5K having a shorter barrel than the MP5-N (which is a true fact from the source of all knowledge... Wikipedia) Would that make you happy? EDIT: Oh, and just so you know, remodelling at this stage is not an option because if we remodel everything from scratch we will never get this mod released. Modifications to an existing model is one thing, but remodelling would take too long and we would only end up redoing it again and again and again and again and... you get the idea.

The MP5 has two clip sizes and we discussed both in the HQ and it was decided to use the longer clip, as seen in this image (url instead of hotlink due to forum rules -> http://www.mfiap.com/AIRSOFT/mp5k.jpg ) Just as well really since posting the picture directly is against forum rules unless it's hosted on an image hosting site such as Imageshack. EDIT: Also, that image you posted is of an MP5SD, not an MP5K.
  4. In RA2 or AR? I have no idea for RA2 (can Soviets even build the purifier?), but for AR it will not feature in the first release. When we do include it then yes, it WILL boost income. I believe the Soviets have a similar structure, some sort of industrial thingymabob?
  5. Yeah, if your good at aiming. As you can probably tell from the video, I am not.... too long since I played regularly. I used to be really good at sniping in Renegade before all the sniper servers turned into aimbot-fests... at that point its almost impossible to compete so I just stopped playing in sniper servers.
  6. Indeed, I always remembered it being 700/1400 as well... but then again, I have not played RA2 in years! I wonder if YR was different from RA2? I have never played YR so I wouldn't know...
  7. Most tanks are rather featureless at the front, you generally don't have things mounted on top of the tank chassis as they have a tendancy to get shot at... See, mostly featureless at the front. Definition of armour plating will be added in the texture.

And another 700 at the same time as the Soviets get their 1400... but by then they are all driving into the Soviet base with Grizzly tanks and probably took out the War Miner on the way I think Soviet's early game tactics are going to revolve around killing the Chronominer before it reaches an ore field or forcing it to chronoshift back early by attacking it before it fills up, thus reducing the amount of credits it drops off. Allies on the other hand don't need to worry about attacking the War Miner so much, they can defend their miner and then try to rush the War Miner with Grizzlies before it can drop off any money to the Soviets.
  9. And don't forget in AR the War Miner will defend itself with a machine gun (or, once lots of enemy infantry got mowed down by it and it's elite, a light cannon) and the Chrono Miner will lol-vanish if it's health gets too low and it has a partial ore load.

  11. It's not a temporary blog, its the real blog but set to invisible so he can edit and proof it before releasing it. Set this forum section as your homepage and you will soon spot the new ones

  13. Well... my installer takes about 2 minutes to install the current alpha version of AR, so it would have to be REALLY quick

  16. The Allied Barracks weakpoint is a stack of ammo crates which go BOOM when destroyed, but other buildings might have weakpoints which don't go boom but still destroy the building...
  17. FYI: Those of you saying the minor weakpoint was too fragile: I have not done much work on their armor.ini settings yet, just wanted to throw up a video to show them working.
  18. I thought the same... even made scripts which made it possible, including guns linked to cameras (no camera lock = gun idle etc, allows sneaking past defences when cam not looking, or simply destroying cameras to get thru), but nobody seemed keen...
  19. Can't find the video now, I suspect it was one of the early ones hosted on the (now offline) LMSBC site and was never uploaded to ModDB. I know OWA has some of the older videos though, so perhaps he will upload it somewhere for you as I no longer have a copy of it.
  20. We already showed a video of the CLEG gun working in a blog years ago, I went around and erased several enemy bots.
  21. I still have not managed to listen too it... my internet connection here in Qatar fell over and died when I suggested it might like to think about the possibility of downloading a >100mb file. Guess I will have to wait until I go home (tommorow as it happens) to listen to it Have you never heard of compression OWA? If thats >100mb rarred, how big is it unrarred? Should have converted it to mp3 or something....

  23. As with all things AR, someone decides that one pixel is out of place so they order the model to be quarantined and a new one commissioned instead.
