  1. Eh, maybe? I set up that question to see if he had a location in mind, which if he did might suggest he had an ulterior motive to do so, but his answer was to avoid Psyduck. That would seem reasonable to me, because the Pokemon I've chosen to train up first would be very unsuited to fighting Psyduck, so his reasoning would fit for me as well. If I were to do an investigation, it would have to be anywhere other than Route 34.
  2. Do you have a specific reason for wanting to investigate a different location?
  3. I want a little extra time to do my case work. And setup my team's spreadsheet, which I still haven't done.
  4. I'm kinda neutral on Sunflower at this point. While I absolutely want to investigate the same location as we did before, I'm not ready to just jump ahead and start the fight. ##rocket Route 34
  5. EDIT: ...Because IF Jeod didn't put himself out there
  6. I still argue that we had to do an initial investigation so that we would find out how prepared we needed to be. It's less a question of "How did Shade know we would lose" and more "Why does Shade think we should delay the investigation" Because Jeod didn't put himself out there and do that investigation, we'd still be wondering if it's safe to do now. Shade's argument could be used forever, and if doing an investigation and winning is good for us, delay tactics are good for scum.
  7. I think the part of your statement I'm hung up on is the "happy to keep sending" part. Why are you "happy to keep sending" Shade?
  8. In before TheIrishman only picked Pokemon that appear in Smash games.
  9. What if it was half minus 10? Afterall, we're trying to make up for wasted training, but everyone started at level 10. So a 50 loser could only get back to 35 in one night.
  10. And I'm totally lost on what's going on for combat today. Is everyone happy with whatever it is we're doing?
  11. If you put all your eggs in one basket and drop the basket, you better expect to not be able to get back in the game right away. A one night turnaround resulting in a 5 level deficit is too much. I do think that this game could have been designed to allow us more freedom to develop our rosters, but I don't think someone should be able to come back in one night. If you do want that to be possible, then we shouldn't have had levels to begin with.
  12. When Tackle is your best offensive option your pokemon has, you know you have work ahead of you.
  13. I kinda feel like this is too powerful. I prospective person with a level 50 who loses could get a level 10 up to 45 in one night. I think this would make putting all your coins into one pokemon the only way to play.
  14. Jeod, can you state your case on Shade? He's probably my number #1 suspect, too, but I feel like I've lost your reasoning.
  15. No, not that bad. Just really unfortunate moveset. Everyone on my roster has a really unfortunate moveset, which I only hope can be fixed by leveling.
  16. My primary is a 20 today. It's pretty crap. I think lvl 10s would have a pretty decent chance of beating it.
  17. An idea I considered for the training situation, is a sort of auto-balance effect, where if a player has lost a pokemon, they get extra training for free to help them get their remaining roster back up to speed quicker. Maybe limit the extra training to the number of training sessions the fallen pokemon had taken. Still no more than 10 levels per pokemon per night, though. Putting all eggs in one basket should still hurt. Allowing us to just spend multiple coins on training might work, too, but I suspect that might cause issues for how Orange balanced the NPCs against us.
  18. You were making the correct assumption, but you did so for the wrong reason.
  19. Shade is always Shade. Teammate or not, I don't think his MO changes. I'm not even really sure he changes how he plays. He's always fishing and always making assumptions that make him look like he knows things he shouldn't.
  20. I'm pretty unhappy with how my roster turned out. I haven't spent the time to chart everything out yet or even figure out what moves my pokemon might learn on their own yet, but last game I had two serviceable choices to begin with and by the time the game ended I had another one I was comfortable with. This time I pretty highly doubt I'll ever be happy with what I've got.
  21. 1) Trained 2) Bought Item 3) You probably know the third thing I did.
  22. We probably shouldn't attempt that again until or unless someone has at least a level 30 pokemon to field. While the level might vary depending on location, we'll find that out on later attempts anyway. We should reach for the known level first.
