  1. Oh. In my defense, I don't get the "Gay for Kennedy" reference.
  2. You're not? Then who are you? (For the record, the "Gay for Kennedy" thing is what led me to that conclusion.)
  3. Welp. That throws out the multiple scenario possibility. Now it seems there's but one truth: Irish and Mojo are the scum team.
  4. Okay, that clears shade... in a sense. First things first, let's see if his ability went off or not. According to him, if it went off, it reduced World Tension by 10. Also, I used an ability last night that lowers World Tension by 20. Furthermore, we know that the death of a townie raises tension by 15. So, let's run the math here, without accounting for Shade's ability. Keep in mind that Shade had announced publicly that he was going to use his ability on TheIrishman. 20-15=5. That means that World Tension would've gone down by 5. Let's see what the reality says: Tension at Night Start: 30 Tension at Night End: 25 Net result says it went down by 5. This means that Shade's ability did not proc. This offers up four scenarios: Irish is scum but not crazy Naval Officer, Irish is town, Shade tried his ability on someone else and it failed, or Shade's death prevented his ability from activating. I'll have to think on this a bit. For now, let me do some more charting. Blue represents information gained since the last update. Green represents my personal guesses. Player Nationality Role Alignment Nodlied American J. Edgar Hoover Town Jeod American Lem Billings Town TheIrishman Soviet (Russian) Valentin Savitsky Mafia FRAYDO American Lee Harvey Oswald Third Party ChopBam American Richard S. Heyser Town Killing You Soviet (Russian) Nikita Khrushchev Town Voe American John F Kennedy Town Category 5 American Robert Kennedy Town Shade Soviet (Russian) Vasili Arkhipov Town Retaliation Soviet (Russian) Vladimir Semichastny Town Mojoman Soviet (Cuban) Fidel Castro Mafia I had very strong townreads on pretty much everyone aside from Retaliation. However, the fact that Shade died last night brought up some questions. Was it possible that scum was trying to put Retaliation at the scene of the crime two nights in a row? An odd gambit, but with how public we were with our plans, it seemed to make the most sense. And then there's Irish. In all his helpfulness, I never noticed that he was only helpful with information that didn't pertain to himself. He never had to defend Mojoman, who slipped by quietly in the background, using only a maple leaf to conceal himself. He was also the last person to reveal his nationality, and in doing so he likely knew that claiming Soviet would be career suicide due to Shade's role. So, yeah. Retaliation, I owe you an apology, man. Oh, one more thing. I'd place a vote, but I cannot due so thanks to my ability that I used last night.
  5. Well... that's a development for sure. Sure. I'm just going to modify my old one and keep updating itfor ease of access. Blue indicates information gained since the rubric was last updated. 6. So why would you bring any of this up in the first place? None of this would've happened if you hadn't spoken up.
  7. This doesn't line up with what you've said so far. I've never played a Mafia game where an investigative ability is a one-time use. Especially not for cops. If it is one-time use, you shouldn't have been so tightlipped about it. If it isn't, you shouldn't have brought it up in the first place. This, to me, presents an odd chain of events. You're implying that your second ability has to be directed at whoever you used your first ability on. That's something I doubt would need to happen. While your second ability sounds a bit more plausible if it doesn't require using it on someone you previously targeted (which, again, since you claim it to be one time use means you have to make the right call for both abilities in one shot), you've implied a few times that it does have this restriction. Nodlied always votes Voe D1. The only time he didn't was a game that Voe decided not to participate in. Sometimes, he just forgets to unvote or never finds someone else to place a vote on.
  8. ##vote Retaliation I still don't think Choppy is scum, to be honest.
  9. Funny thing is, I was about to go back through and look at FRAYDO's posts myself for that exact reason. I'm still scumreading you, but interestingly enough, I'm also scumreading FRAYDO. He latched onto a question Cat5 asked Choppy earlier, and that's the closest thing to actual evidence presented against ChopBam. Granted, Shade did the same thing, but Shade's new. FRAYDO should know better. ##vote FRAYDO I still think Retaliation's the best choice for the lynch, but I want to avoid an RNG lynch if it can be helped, especially if I think a townie could be caught up in the mix.
  10. I was going to hold off on saying anything, but... Irish already put it out there. Yes, I am Nikita Khrushchev, Premier of the Soviet Union. Which means both of these little squirts answer to me, regardless of their alignment.
  11. Well, I didn't get notified of Shade's visit either, so it seems to me that visitors aren't reported.
  12. I banged my shoe on the floor of the UN Assembly, directing attention to me and away from my target, revoking his vote for the day.
  13. Shade, please explain what you think was supposed to have happened. As for the historical significance of your character, frankly I don't care. I will not tolerate a nolynch past D1. Even on D1 I'm super hesitant to allow it.
  14. Maybe you misunderstood me. Take your vote off of nolynch. That's an order. Nolynch gives scum a free nightkill and we learn nothing. And how would lynching Scum heighten World Tension?
  15. Okay this is going to bug me. Shade, I demand you take your vote on nolynch down. Unvote or put your vote on your best scumread. I don't care which.
  16. Also, Irish, did you get a notification about Jeod's visit?
  17. It really doesn't. Irish did nothing and nobody aside from Jeod visited him.
  18. Good thing I don't have any passives. Here's the thing, though: I didn't get notified of being visited. Not sure how that effects anything at present, so we'll put it in the "Save for later" bin. But let's look at the world tension and see if your ability/suspicions hold up. Day1 Start- 0% Day1 End/Night1 Start- 15% Night1 End/Day2 Start- 40% Let's assume what you said is true. World Tension goes up by 15% when someone dies to a specific scum, plus a passive 10% increase overnight. That would mean you misfired last night, since the tension rose 25%. However, it would also mean that the one specific scum member would have to be part of every mislynch, which would be easy to spot and might make the game a bit too easy for town. I'm more inclined to believe that the 10% World Tension is the passive ability and the 15% is simply whenever a townie dies. Thanks for the clarification, though. Your claim holds up, in my book.
