Shade's right. Provided the NPC doesn't heal the Psyduck, I have two level 10 Pokemon that all I would need to do is train them to level 20 and they'd have a 100% win chance.

Taking it down at this point should be a cake walk. The hard part may be deciding who does it.

Along those lines, I understand that Sunflower didn't confirm she had better chances than you two, but I thought we agreed that if Retal fights, he doesn't fight Route 34. I don't understand how this was allowed.

I'm not certain how much you can blame anyone for this outcome though. The only suspicious thing about that would be if someone knew that Retaliation was going to fight a Psyduck and still voted for him on that route in the fist place, knowing that by his own calculations he could only win with 2 HP left.

Well then that was pointless >.> Shall we continue with Sunflower or Jeod for the investigation tomorrow?

    For the most part.

But it is confirmed that investigations shouldn't have a randomized order to them.

And Retaliation might have still gotten something out of it, even though he lost.

As for Sunflower vs. Jeod, I have to ask why? Retaliation barely lost with a type disadvantage, I'm pretty confident you could select anyone at random in this game and they could win the fight tomorrow.

*That can one shot me without being one shot by me first.

I'm more worried about if you can reliably hurt your opponent, or if you're damage is completely based on your opponents type.

Investigations could easily be balanced out where we face a random Trainer and Pokemon from a set list for each location, so I'm really not betting on a Psyduck being what you'll fight today.

I had originally said you could recoup some levels from fainted pokemon.  If a level 10 fainted, you'd get 5.  I then decided against this, but there had been some heavy discussion about it, and it has confused some people.

More importantly Orange didn't announce his ruling for everyone until that last post.

Yeah, I think I'll leave my vote on Sunflower for now, but I'd change it to Jeod over Retaliation. I ran the sims between all electric LV 30 pokemon vs Lv 30 Psyduck and the overwhelming majority can beat Psyduck within 2 moves even with Spark, while most can finish him in one move with Thunderbolt. But if she has a grass type, the odds are even more so in her favor, so pretty much whatever she has, I don't think anybody has a better chance to win.

That said, a lv25 Jolteon with Thunderbolt would also one-shot Psyduck...wait a second. Jeod, how do you have a lv 25 Jolteon? It takes two training sessions to evolve which would put you at 30, Orange never mentioned evolving from the whole lost levels thing.

Did he say it was level 25?

    Trying to force arguments, Scum?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    Image result for Charmander sad

To be fair, my argument would be won by Retaliation or Jeod failing the investigation again. Which as Scum would certainly suit me more than any other outcome woudl't it?

So why would I bother arguing in the first place?

But won't investigations benefit everyone regardless (provided we win)? The item in particular shouldn't affect the overall benefit for us too much, rather how much he'll personally gain from winning. I'd rather not jeopardize a chance at actually winning an investigation for his personal benefit.

You're welcome to try arguing with all of them you want.

Ah, missed that part (just got off of work and tried to speed read through it). I'm not familiar enough with Pokemon to even take a guess on items.

I'm not exactly familiar with them myself, and he's mostly claiming that going on an investigation will provide some benefit to him from the item. Which he didn't start out with and was apparently handed to him last night.

I'm confused why Retaliation is jumping in when he's already lost one Pokémon, especially when the chances for the other two seem better, and one of them has a full party.

Retaliation is claiming to have an item which he thinks should get some sort of benefit from him going on an investigation.

Let me guess. You're going to assume that my actions were a grand scheme to get everyone to train electric types so my fighting type roster can sweep.

    If it works it works.

I'm going to point out, if someone had fought the first day they could have investigated route 34 yesterday with a level 30 Pokemon and could have actually beat that Pysduck. As it is, we're only now getting to the point where one could reliably beat it.
