  1. No joke. We're very close to being half the total length of the longest running APB Mafia (VII- Botes Edition at 48 pages), and we're just a little over halfway through D1. I'm impressed.
  2. The theme of the essay series is more like: Gen- Very mechanically distant from the franchise, but a great game regardless. C&C3- Great evolution of the core franchise mechanics, and also a great game. RA3- Retains and evolves the core franchise mechanics, but not a good game. C&C4- Both mechanically distant from the franchise and a terrible game in its own right.
  3. I haven't played C&C4 either, and I'm going to hold off on it until I get around to making a series of video essays on the four main EA C&Cs (Generals, C&C3, RA3, C&C4).

  12. DAY 1 After a long, terrible Ion Storm, the sun finally shines once again over Outpost Alpha. However, it's not long before the base crew realizes that their communications have been sabotaged. This means only one thing: Nod infiltration. Cut off from reinforcements and with no way to contact GDI command, the outpost personnel have no choice but to try and discover the enemy within before it's too late. GDI will win if all Nod operatives are killed. Nod will win if their numbers match or outnumber GDI. Day 1 ends in 49 hours.
  13. Yep. Sending out role PMs in about 40 minutes. Might go ahead and start the game right then and there as well and have D1 last an extra hour. Don't see why not, everything is set and ready to go.
  14. Due to film scheduling, the start date is going to be pushed back to Monday, December 14th. There will be no further changes to the start date.
  15. MOD ANNOUNCEMENT: Between the removal of the hard cap and several issues voiced by players, the game will retain the original start date of Sunday, December 13th. Should that day be the final day of shooting before winter break, however, the game might be pushed back a day later, to Monday, December 14th. These are now the only possible start dates. Sign-ups will remain open until Friday, December 11th. I apologize for any inconvenience this discussion has caused.
  16. Honestly, I don't remember why I had a hard cap. It's not really needed, so I'll go ahead and remove it. I don't want anyone to feel left out, after all. Doing this will remove the earlier start potential and the game will retain the original start date. @Shade939I hope that's not too much of an issue (especially since it's just over a week at this point).
  17. Given the likelihood of the sign-ups filling up in the next few days, I'll go ahead and pencil you in. MOD ANNOUNCEMENT: Previously I said that I'd only move the start date up due to full players, but since we're well past the sign-up minimum, I'd like to officially move the start date to Monday, December 7th. Once again, if you have any issues with that, please let me know now.
  18. Wow, just over 24 hours and already at 9 players signed? Nice. If we hit max sign-ups by Saturday, I might close sign-ups then and start the game Monday, December 7th, 1941. It's first come, first serve, so @Shade939@TheIrishman@Louis@Sunflower@Anon_Katthis is the best chance to get in on the action! EDIT: If this conditional start date is an issue, please speak up now.

  20. Indeed you do! For sure. I'm hoping to expand on this setup in the future, based on how well this game goes and how previous APB games have played out.
  21. @VoeI know you usually limit yourself to Verti Mafias nowadays, but it'd still be fun for you to join this one, given the setup and flavor.
