  1. You have the action resolution. That is all you need.
  2. This is correct. If a weapon sticks, it will say so in the action resolution.
  3. But what about the very WEAST? *slinks back to control room*
  4. It's basically flavor. Just treat it as "your daykilled failed," because that's mechanically what happened.
  5. That is all I will say on the subject. Do what you will with that information.
  6. Probably got eaten in various forum updates. Ctrl+B still works fine, though. Your vote still got counted, so no worries
  7. DAY 1 After a long, terrible Ion Storm, the sun finally shines once again over Outpost Alpha. However, it's not long before the base crew realizes that their communications have been sabotaged. This means only one thing: Nod infiltration. Cut off from reinforcements and with no way to contact GDI command, the outpost personnel have no choice but to try and discover the enemy within before it's too late. GDI will win if all Nod operatives are killed. Nod will win if their numbers match or outnumber GDI. Day 1 ends in 49 hours.
  8. Yep. Sending out role PMs in about 40 minutes. Might go ahead and start the game right then and there as well and have D1 last an extra hour. Don't see why not, everything is set and ready to go.
  9. Due to film scheduling, the start date is going to be pushed back to Monday, December 14th. There will be no further changes to the start date.
  10. MOD ANNOUNCEMENT: Between the removal of the hard cap and several issues voiced by players, the game will retain the original start date of Sunday, December 13th. Should that day be the final day of shooting before winter break, however, the game might be pushed back a day later, to Monday, December 14th. These are now the only possible start dates. Sign-ups will remain open until Friday, December 11th. I apologize for any inconvenience this discussion has caused.
  11. Honestly, I don't remember why I had a hard cap. It's not really needed, so I'll go ahead and remove it. I don't want anyone to feel left out, after all. Doing this will remove the earlier start potential and the game will retain the original start date. @Shade939I hope that's not too much of an issue (especially since it's just over a week at this point).
  12. Given the likelihood of the sign-ups filling up in the next few days, I'll go ahead and pencil you in. MOD ANNOUNCEMENT: Previously I said that I'd only move the start date up due to full players, but since we're well past the sign-up minimum, I'd like to officially move the start date to Monday, December 7th. Once again, if you have any issues with that, please let me know now.
  13. Wow, just over 24 hours and already at 9 players signed? Nice. If we hit max sign-ups by Saturday, I might close sign-ups then and start the game Monday, December 7th, 1941. It's first come, first serve, so @Shade939@TheIrishman@Louis@Sunflower@Anon_Katthis is the best chance to get in on the action! EDIT: If this conditional start date is an issue, please speak up now.
  14. That was so much fun, though. I just wish I knew what went through Voe's head when he saw that whole thing unravel.
  15. Indeed you do! For sure. I'm hoping to expand on this setup in the future, based on how well this game goes and how previous APB games have played out.
  16. @VoeI know you usually limit yourself to Verti Mafias nowadays, but it'd still be fun for you to join this one, given the setup and flavor.
  17. INTRODUCTIONHello, and welcome to the first forum Mafia game based on Tiberian Sun: Reborn! This game is essentially a "mod" of Verti60's classic APB mafias. Hmm... a mod of a forum game based on a mod based on a game, which in turn is also based on a different mod of a different game in the same franchise? WHEN WILL THE MADNESS END?! With a winter break in Dead Legion filming on the horizon, I'll have time to run this without the assistance of a co-mod. So for those who've played those games before, you probably know the drill. For those new, however, let me go over the details of what you can expect. THE GAMEThis is a forum-based game of "Mafia," in which the majority of players (Town), must decide who among them is part of a hostile faction (Scum), and eliminate them via lynch before scum can whittle down Town numbers via nightkill. This is primarily a socio-analysis game, and success relies upon coordination, communication, and reading your opponent. The game is divided into two phases; day and night. Most of the game takes place during the 48-hour day phases, which are divided up by 24-hour night phases, during which many players have abilities that can help them and their faction achieve victory. In this case, the game will revolve around an outpost set up by the Global Defense Initiative, which has been infiltrated by the Brotherhood of Nod. There will not be any Neutral or Third Party in this game, as this is largely a "back-to-basics" game, as a refresher for everyone who feels like CYOR has been a tad overplayed, and for me who doesn't feel comfortable going crazy with a game setup, considering I wasn't too happy with my previous outings. Here is the preliminary rolesheet that I've created. Keep in mind that this is a guideline, not a hard-and-fast rule. Not all of these will appear in the game, and there may be some secret roles not included in the sheet that might appear. Also, for balance purposes, everything is open to adjustment. One thing that I should mention: /!\ EARLY HAMMER WILL BE A FEATURE IN THIS GAME! /!\ This means that if 51% of the votes are placed on a single target, the day will end automatically with that person being lynched, and the game will move into the night phase. Keep this in mind... Sign-ups will close Friday, December 11th. The game will begin on Monday, December 14th. SIGN-UPS-13 (8 min) @Jeod @ChopBam @iLikeToSnipe @FRAYDO @Category 5 Hurricane @Voe @OrangeP47 @Retaliation @Mojoman @Shade939 @TheIrishman @Anon_Kat @Louis BOOKMARKSDAY 1 NIGHT 1 DAY 2 NIGHT 2 DAY 3 GAME END
  18. Fair enough. I'll put the thread up either this weekend or Monday.
  19. As a quick update, I might have accidentally finished the role sheet just now, so it's ready to go whenever. But as I said, if you want to go first, feel free.
  20. Feel free to do so. I was gonna try to have a TSR mafia thread posted by Monday, but if you want to go first, lemme know. It'd give me a little bit more time to have @NodliedCzech the roles for balancing purposes (unless he wants to play, of course) and give me a better idea of what my schedule going forward will look like, so that I know whether or not to have a co-mod.
  21. I've given it some thought, and it's interesting to see how much of a polar opposite role I had compared to my last Neutral role. Previously, I had a role that was designed from the ground up to just be a chaotic element that screwed with everyone for the fun of it. My intention was to shitpost and have fun the whole game, with the ability to bite Town or Scum in the ass if conditions were met. I ended up playing a major role in that game and did a lot to influence what happened. This game, I had a role that was designed from the ground up to be a useful element for either side and introduce a cool side objective. My intention was to be a friendly, guiding voice that could be a boon to Town or Scum if certain conditions were met. I ended up just fighting for my life and not much else. Makes too much sense to me that the troll role was the more successful one, is all I'm saying.
  22. In fairness, I shared the situation with everyone and let them weigh in. Had there been enough pushback (i.e., one good point) I wouldn't have done it.
  23. As someone who was cornered and had little choice but to go after someone else to keep myself around.
  24. Done what? Stabbed it? If so, then I probably would have. I was curious as to what your alignment was, and it would've determined how hard I would've pushed on Snipe.
