  1. It's also important to remember that it's an alternate universe, so things aren't gonna be the same as in our world. In the case of the artillery, there are simply too many visual differences with the WW model for it to be an actual M107/M110, and it's better to embrace these differences as a product of the alternate timeline, rather than going the rather unimaginative route of simply copying something from our world. The goal is to look like the in-game sprite first and foremost, and augmenting that with whatever details we can get from other sources. (For what it's worth, I agree that the Remastered artillery is... weird in several ways, which is why relatively few details were taken from it lol)

  2. The people at Westwood weren't exactly the greatest at accuracy in the modeling department (CGI modeling was time consuming and cost a lot of time to render) which I said was more than likely based on the M107 it just wasn't well made since it's lacking a lot of detail and inaccuracies. Even then I don't think it was that important to them to make the Artillery look exactly like it since it was just gonna be a tiny sprite in-game anyway. Westwood just lazily reused it from C&C1 anyway. lol

  3. I prefer the B version to because it's more like the real thing which is what the old model was going for unlike the newer one which is based off the weird Remastered version and WW's ancient CGI model (Which it was modeled after the M107 abet poorly :P). Though the tracks arch down at the back on the B version for some reason and I can't find it doing that in the side profiles here: https://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/coldwar/US/M107-self-propelled-gun.php

  4. It is winter of 2020 and a bit as usually late i guess. But nevertheless is June August of 2021 here's would be the final update for Interim Apex before fully transitioning into custom armor.ini which may take a while before the changes is fully digested by the player-base. The reason the change log was delay partly to hotfix critical issue and changes that didn't get fully backtrack after reverted, adding on is to let the player's try out every single unit without knowing the surprise what they will find. For now no new maps until probably i think late this year or if I can my new PC hopefully, but map update is a possibility. PT-91M Pendekar, give it a spin. AMX-13/90, but during PvE/Bot match as team skirmish you may catch a few variants. T-82 is a new heavy tank for Nod replacing the T-62 tank slot, T-62 will be lower down a tier. My last time overhauling the Abrams tank line. The visual model enhancement overtime after i get to improve my modeling/unwrapping skill. BMP-1 replacing the BMD-1 model which will be subject to re-modeling. T249 Vigilante is a new GDI Experimental vehicle which cost a fortune but extremely fragile to play. Altay is a new MBT for Tier 5 for Nod. Tunguska has been overhaul and revamp. Classic_GreatWall_E06 not to be confused with Legacy_Greatwall. There are other new assets or content that will be as usually leak by me in bot match. Roadmaps or prediction of the future? Can't say that but what will probably happen is that. I will be able to get new PC soon probably in February after lunar new year which i may host my own test server for the upcoming newer build and possible some bot match there if you want to. Due to the PC component shortage in the industry this is very unlikely happening anytime soon. Estimate time would be end of the year or mid next year 2022. Do note that some of these changes i may have miss or remove due to the issue i was trying to resolve and many things were reverted due to an instability with the armor.ini where there is a chance when a match start everyone has 0 ammo and subsequently crash. Revamp VTOL Aircraft re-balancing. Bot match now functionally working on 15+ maps for both GDI and Nod. Experimental weapons or units will spawn during PvE/Bot Games so join in those game and pay attention!. I have lost count probably is few dozens of variation and variety. All the weapons of vehicle has been tweaked and based on the factor of the tier and weapon caliber size/type. All vehicles and unit score has been tweaked. Some bugs and glitches may occur such as GreatUnder as it require a re-do on the map vis. ZSU 57-2 deployed missing sandbag. Hotfix 3 will be a thing as this current changelog as it was a bit too late for hotfix 2 to be made it in. The critical issue such as Disruptor crashing the client has been resolve as well as 2 more model issue causing to crash has been rectified. Liquid Tiberium Truck did not spawn on most maps will be fix on Hotfix 3.

  5. The Q&A was done when RA1 was 2 months in development of course they had a long time to change that but you can't ignore the fact there is left overs of this idea when you look at the tech each side has, then it starts making a lot of sense. Also they said they were mixing 1940s-1980s tech for balance in it.

  6. Speaking of the cold war asthetic I don't know if you seen my earlier topic here: The Westwood staff during a early Q&A in February even said RA1 takes place in the 70s which puts the Allies more modern units like the Abrams and Apaches and Soviet double barreled T-72's into perspective even though some of them were quite early prototypes at the time but being a alternative time line I could see them put into service earlier due to the war. Though in retail they seemed to of scrubbed any mention of this since Stalin would be so old by then which could of been the reason. :P

  7. The B model is literally an M110 with return rollers. There's nothing F3 155mm about it. They literally meant it as the M107/M110. The M107/M110 also fits the Allied aesthetics much better as well than the unholy combination of a Chaffee, Crusader SP, Panzer III and a KV-1 that is the new/C model. It feels too WWII ish whilst the B model fits the Allied aesthetic of end cold war US army.

  8. I am a big fan of the sneak peak model. Great job on everyone that brainstormed and worked on it!

  9. Personally, I liked A a bit more, but the new design is probably the best version yet. Definitely fits the aesthetic of most of the Allied vehicles we have now.

  10. Same here. I would remove the thing at the back that stops movement when firing because it seems unnecessary (it wouldn't be used anyway) but otherwise it is my favourite out of what we've been shown. The one chosen looks too closely to the remastered version in my eyes, and sadly they got a bunch wrong when compared with the OG units so I'm not the biggest fan of them and it does look a bit toyish. But hey, I'm happy as long as whatever we get is still good at receiving V2 rockets.
