Well you did say to keep 'em comin'... ^^ So what, nobody can help me out with the spectator question? Running from one base to the other and setting up vehicles to be stolen is hard work people. x)
-
Granted (or is it?), but you have to spend a whole week just playing this game with him on a separate forum. I wish the universe would be a bit faster at making my wishes come true.
-
Any freezing cold Nod fans out there? The before and after, as usual.
-
Got a Harpy to fly out... before and after.
-
Titan before and after. Harvester before and after. Again, nothing special - just a fairly quick eye candy fix. I'd also like to do some infantry compilations, but for that I'd need to round up some players. Additionally, I'm having a hard time getting good angles due to the fact that I can't access spectator mode. I heard that I can get !spec'd by an in-game mod or something like that (which would be great on a populated server!). Also, any console command for spectator mode in LAN/SP? It's hard always running around with an Umagon without her explosives, very restricting.

I've been going over a few Tiberian Sun Reborn screenshots with some simple digital magic. Here's how the first one came out: Before and after, nothing too fancy. Feel free to use it as a wallpaper or something if you'd like, though it's only 1680x1050 I'm afraid since I took the screenshots at my current monitor's native resolution.

Here's a couple of promotional images to look at until the next episode arrives. Also, would anyone be interested in seeing some behind-the-scenes kind of stuff in the future?
-
Haha that was indeed me, he reminds me most of the male mercenary character in the original UT, which is what I played as in that game all the time. I've always played as Romulus because he actually looks like me - well, sort of. I don't have my hair up in the air like that.
-
I'll never forgive you Jerad2142 for using Romulus as your character (if that was you, if not sorry haha). I've been using him since 2000-and-something, and called dibs on TeamSpeak. ;P (joking of course)
-
Well fuck you too <3 unReal was too busy doing whatever he was doing and Hydra didn't show up so yeah. NaokiP was there of course. What kept you busy PW?
-
Agreed, though it really doesn't matter what you play - it's who you play it with that makes a sort-of-LAN-party work out great. Can't remember the last time I had so much fun jumping around like an idiot and hunting the ocassional Wally here and there. Make it a monthly thing at least. My guys couldn't make it unfortunately, but who needs 'em with this kind of fun group!

3 FIGHTERS ON WALLY !!!
-
Get on TeamSpeak, we can get people set up if you don't have the game. Just ask around on TS.
-
Want some veterancy? Go get some in episode #8!
-
Some of the guys from my dev group's internal community will probably join in if they get free. So that's about 2-3 guys extra if they make it.

People in the game deveopment industry
AZ-Stalker replied to Shnappz's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Croatia's first game dev school in Zagreb keeps telling people that it's not the degree that gets you into game development but what you can do and how you go about doing it. You have to have good projects behind you and keep improving your skills, so that you can show future employers what you're actually capable of. Seems understandable. Degrees are a bonus ofcourse, but I'll let people who are actually inside the industry speak, since I've only developed things as a hobby like many of you here. -
Great work! And honestly, I lol'd a bit when the dog jumped. ^^'
-
Patch 3369 or some other setup for UT2004?
-
I'll drop by if I happen to be home at the time.

I'd hate for all of the hard work people put into projects like TSR to be for nothing. Finished project = happy creators, unfinished project = sad creators (and players too!). I think most of the people here feel a strong nostalgia to Westwood era games. Imagine yourselves in a few years wanting to go back to all those memories. You'll want to play the crap out of these W3D games again, that's for sure, but you'll be sad you never gave them the form and polish they deserved and it will be way too late to work on them later in the future with countless new issues to deal with. And that lingering sadness will always stay with you. So heads high and get to work! After that, see about moving to more modern solutions IF that idea truly strikes your (C&C?) passion in the right spot. I know I'm new here, but I'll stay and play as long as there is someone to play with.
-
There will probably be a joke about that too, since he's holding a grenade-shaped explosive and not a disc-shaped one.

Episode #7! Sooner than you thought!
-
It'll be ready sometime soon! Also, I've featured some of you from this forum in a community spotlight of sorts. It's a way to say thank you for all of the support and feedback. One of the ways... Posted on my group's Facebook page as well.

I fell in love with the STALKER video game series way back when that was something new. I added my initials as a prefix to give that plain word some originality.
-
It's worth noting that the engineers inside are old C&C1 era engis, although bridge support huts didn't exist in the first C&C game, so that's something I mixed in since this is my little alternate universe. Just look at al those old helmets and briefcases. ^^' I hope Thorn ordering Lucky to carry a barrel the rest of the way wasn't overlooked by many of you. It's an unspoken joke ofcourse and it ties in with Lucky's request at the end of the 5th episode. Anyone notice what the white scratches on the floor are? Looks like they were made out of boredom...
