  1. I've got an acquaintance who's into technical aspects of such gear, so if you show me the back side of a box or the name of a headset model you like, I can ask him to confirm what's really ok on that model so you know you're getting your bang for your buck. He helped me out a lot with that, although my headset is still mid-tier by price range.
  2. If we're not counting occasional image edits, the overall filters would be changes in brightness, contrast, gamma, color hue/saturation and other little tweaks. Not that complicated of a process, actually. I also always add a vignette effect at a varying degree around some photo elements to make a unit or structure stand out more.
  3. Do you now? I'll see what I can do, but you'll have to wait until next month since I'm packed full of responsibilities.
  4. A plane crashes right on top of the wolf pack, instantly killing both them and everyone on board. You can put down the knife. I'm falling off a high cliff... I have no shoes and my only equipment is a sandwich and bottle of water. Everything else got left up on the cliff.
  5. All of your work is really appreciated danpaul, keep doing what you do best. There's no rush!
  6. Better up the max player count if possible. We've been having regular daily matches that stack up 15 players at times.
  7. You can always check the server around central European evenings. I've seen larger 12+ player matches form around those times every other day quite recently.
  8. To ease people's concerns a bit and help out anyone who doesn't have time to write their segment which could get cast away if it doesn't make the cut, I'd advise any suggestion giving approach to be viable. Including random ideas, feature lists, plain notes, full paragraphs and anything that contributes. A neat scene would be for the buggy patrol to run into a line of dug-in deployed tick tanks that have seemingly frozen over at an outer defense perimeter. Due to a low amount of troops that far out, the ticks could have been abandoned for some reason. Later, once you show the reader the gun, he'll expect it to be fired at some point, per popular saying. Which is where the frozen tick tank line can come to play later on in some form - lets say they get hijacked by a nomad shiner group with a particular agenda, or some defecting Nod forces heat them up and use them to keep the sanctum forces within the inner defense line while they set up shop on the outskirts. Maybe there's a particular tiberium formation-like artifact of interest somewhere in some caverns below. I'm also sure Squid's on top of reorganizing the first post whenever a new chapter gets finalized. Use of spoilers is a great option to keep it clean. Additionally, for another huge TS fan story, you can draw inspiration from this old thing which actually connected itself quite nicely and unexpectedly into a certain TS mission as its conclusion.
  9. For anyone wondering about the continuation of this project, I'd like to point out that the unexpected stop in development has been caused by my personal life being in a difficult stalemate with work and college obligations. I didn't plan on this happening, which is why I started everything back up only to close shop only a few episodes later. Not a fun thing to do, not a good feeling. I'm probably going to resume normal work on Tiberian Daylight either later this month or sometime in October once I get things sorted out. I figured I'd post this here as well since not all of you follow the GR forum for new info on whats going on. Here's something you probably haven't seen if you don't follow GR's facebook or forum pages. Enjoy another quick giggle! Thanks for all of the comments, ideas and support! Bringing a smile to people's faces is the main reason I started making the webcomic. Tiberian Daylight will hopefully be back very soon!
  10. You have it as a rare very high resolution image on Eric Gooch's website (Seth ) right here along with many other renders and concepts. There's a whole Tiberian Sun archive on his site. Just look under Mammoth pictures to find the big wallpaper delta posted.
  11. Just a small note that there was a floating component tower by the GDI WF towards the tib field on Crossroads. Not sure why, but I saw one still floating in the air yesterday. Also, thanks a lot for doing your best to keep the game stable and updated with the new changes. I'm sure everyone really appreciates it!
  12. I love your enthusiasm. Gets me all pumped up at times to see your creative drive take action.
  13. Whatever poll results tie out, Squid can decide on our behalf if he's leading the game, right?
  14. Some great games today! Here's a screenshot I took just as I popped onto the server.
  15. Just voted. Neat idea actually! Lets see what everyone else jots down.
  16. GR isn't a clan, just to make things clear for anyone who isn't aware of us. We're just a group that works on certain projects and has fun together (like gaming events), to put it simply. The current setup on our part is run by this logic: Default GR channel / category - for anyone to join in and talk with us GR Internal HQ - for our staff chat and private discussions Ghost 207 / Game Events - for when we have LAN parties or online gaming The gaming oriented channel has 2 subchannels (team 1 & 2) which are intended for use during matches where we split off and fight as two teams in one server. They could be considered redundant by some of the new standards (ideas?) presented here, but we would very much like to keep them on. Although if it's causing issues with the whole TeamSpeak area we all share, we could live without them and rely on temporary channels IF it's absolutely necessary or required for our continual use of your TS space. I personally tried to minimize the space we use up to as few channels as possible, while at the same time future-proofing the whole thing. So the point is that if there is a problem with the GR part, we'll work it out, but from GR's perspective, our part is set up minimalistically and without need for any expansions because these few channels is all we'll need for the forseeable future.
  17. Do you intend on doing something like a compilation picture where we can see most, if not all of these character designs in one place... like a not-so-angry mob? You could just paste them all in if they're already on single layers and make a wallpaper or something out of it. Just a thought. Also, I like the miner's heavier equpiment setup. That would look pretty decent as a steampunk thing if you combined that with say the oil driller outfits.
  18. A new episode is out! Hope you all like it!
  19. Good work on the launcher! Any and all improvements are always appreciated by anyone who uses the software whether they actually know it or not. Keep it up!
  20. Loving the feedback as always everyone! Also please feel free to register a forum account on the GR forum if you feel like it and/or want to help us expand a bit. I'm trying to centralize the Tiberian Daylight stuff over there (as much as I can without loosing active readers). It's a compact community looking to grow.
  21. The Tiberian Daylight Facts mini series is something that foreshadows where the regular episodes are headed in some way as well. The Nod Titan joke is somewhat of a pointer that GDI (in this series) will no doubt have issues with their Titan unit here and there. The cyborg joke is a straight forward pointer that the cyborgs always come up short in some way - they never get to be the destroyer force they want to be, hence the episode where our cyborg friend had to heal up slowly by a lone tib crystal.
  22. Triple post! Going to need some other post in here sometime soon or things are going to look a bit hectic! Something new just came out, go take a look. Definitely watch out for these on GR's Facebook page.
  23. Press F5 while in skirmish and type: summon renx_game.ts_vehicle_buggy summon renx_game.ts_vehicle_reconbike summon renx_game.ts_vehicle_ticktank summon renx_game.ts_vehicle_wolverine summon renx_game.ts_vehicle_hovermrls summon renx_game.ts_vehicle_titan You die once you hit enter. The vehicle spawns at that position. Bots will run for it and drive the new vehicles, so you might need to catch them if they are enabled on the map you're playing. Also note that you can copy/paste the above commands straight into the in game text option.
  24. The TS crates are apparently a server side option, so server owners have to edit the spawning chances.
