  1. Are you sure this isn't a JRPG? This is sure a lot of effort to put into making a character.
  2. The only games I WON'T sign up for are APB Mafia VI, and APB Chat Mafia (and the latter because I'm rarely available when this is played, not because I wouldn't play it even if available).
  3. Most likely, yes. Afterall, the poll asked "Which game would you like to play next?" not "Would you sign up for this game?" or otherwise imply that games you don't vote for are games you won't play. Therefore, I voted for what I would like to play next, and didn't vote for just all games I would play. If he wants the answer to the latter question, he should ask that.
  4. Yeah, the trap that scum set up for you guys was a good one, and you guys as a group almost had no choice other than to walk into it and see what happens. I feel like only Jeod was paranoid enough to figure out that Retal's investigation result was a trap. Nobody had any reason to think it was false. The only thought that could have helped you guys would have been "How does it help scum-Retal to claim cop when he'd get lynched after after Mojoman flips town?" There were a few slips you guys could have picked up on. ChopBam referred to Retal's investigation being "changed" two times. Oddly specific wording when he shouldn't know if Retal is telling the truth nor know how it could be wrong. TheIrishman accidentally revealed that ChopBam tracked FRAYDO, then tried to play it off as something he misread.
  5. It's a small mistake KY, and we're all going to make them. Earlier this year you were mad at me for making a bad call near the end of the game because I missed a detail. You can't let fear of these mistakes spoil the fun for you. You're going to have both good and bad moments in this things. You just need to learn from them and move on. We all want you to keep playing, so keep your head up. Retal isn't blameless in that, by the way. Making the scum place both votes might have given you a chance to unvote before scum completed the ambush. Seeing TheIrishman jump on that vote would have been a signal, but you were denied the opportunity.
  6. Don't do this again, man. The loss isn't your fault. Everybody who was figuring the game out got killed, leaving all of you to fall into the traps that scum set for you. Town lost this game as a group. Pretty sure everybody in the dead doc saw scum victory coming.
  7. Jeod and Shade were the only ones getting close to the truth. Retal got the hint at the end, but it was too late. Nodlied would have caught TheIrishman if not blocked. (not counting myself because I myself killed just before I really had a case built.)
  8. You were at LYLO. First person to vote enters "hammer danger zone". That person was you.
  9. Get taken out N1 and scum coasts to victory unhindered. Too bad I also predicted who was going to be NK'd N1. I protected Jeod. Had I not, on D2 my suspects were ChopBam and TheIrishman. How different this game would have been.
  10. Well, that result hurts me quite badly, I'd say. That'll teach me to not forget to vote.
  11. Nope! All I'm really thinking right now is that at this rate my D1 vote will have to be random minus any reads I think are good. So, for example, I think Jeod is likely town. That read is solely based on which character I think he is, though. Better than nothing, but not by much. I've spent the rest of the time trying come up with possible game scenarios. I have a list of people I think will be in the game, and which alignments they would likely be. Mojoman has already broken that list though. I can't think of any Canadians that would have been involved in this.
  12. @ChopBam fair enough. Can't prove the character I'm thinking of is Mafia anyway, so point is moot. @Mojoman not being serious there, of course. You did accidentally call "mafia or town winning" a bad thing, therefore you must be Third Party. But I'm sure you were joking in the first place.
  13. Is that a Third Party claim? I'm not sure we should leave you alovr either.
  14. ChopBam, with the combination of your avatar and your nationality claim, you appear to me to effectively be claiming to be Curtis LeMay. Am I reading too much into this?
  15. I'm going to avoid the nationality question for now, as the fact that nationality is given as part of your roles makes me suspect it's important for something. So instead, I'll reveal that I'm a diplomat. I currently expect all players will fit into one of these roles: Diplomats, Military Leaders, and Naval Officers. I think we'll find one Mafia in each of those categories. Currently thinking 3 Mafia. GM basically described the motivations for three different people and would fit the motivations of the people I think would most likely be Mafia. A Diplomat who doesn't want to back down, a Military Leader that thinks they can win out right, and a Naval Officer who would rather just let the world burn. That's just spitballing based on how I think I'd setup a game based on this theme, though. It just makes sense to me. We don't know how far ahistorical OrangeP47 has set this game, though my character seems pretty much historical.
  16. Well, nationality didn't indicate alignment in that game, nor likely does in this game in any predictable way. However, there were specific players that needed the nationality information to help them with their goals. Killing_You was one such player. FRAYDO was the other. I'm not sure nationality is going to matter to anyone in this game, but in case it does, I think nobody can be faulted for wanting to conceal that information. I suspect that the Mafia and/or Third Parties will be looking for specific people to kill. I'll think on it for a bit before I decide whether I want to or not.
  17. Why didn't anyone pick this role? https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=The_Flying_Pumpkin_That_Shoots_Laser_Beams_Out_Of_Its_Ass
  18. I did actually kinda want to help Killing_You there. I gave TheIrishman several role suggestions to choose from, and nearly all of them were built with either any alignment or mafia alignment in mind. Given the theme of the game, I wouldn't have minded being Mafia this time. The problem with Killing_You's suggestion was that I already had what appeared to be a 100% win chance by siding with town. His own plan did not ensure my own victory. Infact, if I helped him, I couldn't win unless I jailed him at some point. And if town turned on me seeing that I had betrayed them, Killing_You could also betray me while still ensuring his own victory. There was no tactical sense in doing so. And really, was I really going to betray town when we went through a whole game without mislynching a single time? While nolynching twice? That's too amazing to throw away. If the game situation was something like 2 v 2 v 1, and mafia revealed itself to me, I'd have flipped, as doing so is a sure fire victory (assuming I also would meet my other victory condition), while not doing so risks Mafia taking me down with them. My role was actually Zero (still of Zero Escape), and built of a combination of ideas I had for Akane Kurashiki and Sigma Klim, who both used Morphogenetic Fields in different ways. My original idea was pretty basic. I just submitted Zero as an any-alignment Jailer, with also the possibility of retaining the NK protection that Akane had last game if it made sense to do. TheIrishman decided to go further than that. We expanded Zero to cover Sigma as well, and incorporated ideas from both characters. The Jailer role was based on Akane during 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, where she would capture people by gassing them. Some of them would wind up with bombs placed in them. The extra victory condition came from that. The conditional cop role came from my Sigma idea. In Virtue's Last Reward, he spends most of the game switching choices he's made that would change history, just to find out what would happen. To balance that role, (and also something that I decided to use tactically), activating the cop role would also cause me to leave that history, similar to how Akane would disappear if she started to fail to focus on the correct history. I'd get the alternate-history lynch results right away at night start, but I'd also disappear for that night and the next day. Would return the next night, with a free night to act when people didn't know for sure that I was a target. Activating that role would make it less likely to be NK'd, but also make it harder to complete my extra victory condition. I wanted to trigger it once to dissuade Mafia from killing me, and then spend the rest of the game jailing people so that I could meet my extra victory condition. To avoid being NK'd after that, I'd need a cover story. Thus, my gambit where I had you guys setup the D1 lynch in exactly the way I needed it to trigger my ability. I thought I made myself a pretty big target, likely to be NK'd. Whether I wound up targeted or not, I made it look like I was NK'd. Then, when I returned I wanted to double-bluff that claim by saying it was a scum trap all along, hoping they'd buy it and leave me alone for the rest of the game. In the end I didn't keep up the charade very long, nor did I do a very convincing job of it. It wound up being more important that I back up Nodlied than keeping the bluff. The way I imagined the role would work, and indeed I explained it to him this way, anyone who targeted me while I was in the alternate history would be unable to find me, because I'm no longer there. I'm not sure why TheIrishman decided to treat it like a timelock instead, but by the time I realized that he had already done the N1 results. I also expected the Jailing to make it so that nobody could find my target either, instead of just prevent killing actions, since I'm kidnapping them and taking them away. Not that it matters much, it just didn't fit the flavor in the way I was expecting. It might have made Alstar and FRAYDO even more suspicious when they returned no result at all for targeting me.
  19. Then again, I guess town did need to stop the chaos. Yeah, he's fine as Third Party. Anyway, if town needs to remove them to win, they're "Guilty". Lumps Third Party and Mafia together.
  20. While the Neutral could help Mafia, they can't stop town from winning on their own. Therefore, "Not Guilty". In this game your Third Party also didn't prevent anyone from winning by achieving his goals, so he might have been more appropriate as a Neutral as well.
  21. The solution to an insane cop when there are more than "town" and "mafia" factions is to make the cop's report binary by grouping factions with each other. You can do this one of three ways. Cop reports are "Mafia" and "Not Mafia", insane reports would be: Town -> "Mafia" Mafia -> "Not Mafia" Third Party -> "Mafia" Neutral -> "Mafia" Cop reports are "Town" and "Not Town", insane reports would be: Town -> "Not Town" Mafia -> "Town" Third Party -> "Town" Neutral -> "Town" Cop reports are "Guilty" and "Not Guilty", insane reports would be: Town -> "Guilty" Mafia -> "Not Guilty" Third Party -> "Not Guilty" Neutral -> "Guilty"
  22. Following your plans as you've suggested would mean ceding tactical advantage to you, and would allow you to betray me two different ways. I'm not naive enough to think that you won't try for total victory if the opportunity presents itself. I will remain in control of this situation. If you don't have a better plan, we can call this game over now. No need to delay it to Day 7.
