  1. I will not be joining the chat game. I will not be home until more than two hours after you start. After your game(s) is(are) done, I'd personally like to have another APB game. In the actual APB game setting, not the forum mafia setting. I got to shoot at Jeod with a sniper last time and somehow I couldn't kill him! (He was town hurr hurr)
  2. Except they did nightkill before. And you calling it a "superweapon" doesn't make it not a nightkill. It was a kill, and it happened at night. It's a nightkill.
  3. Exactly how many people not scum or GM were able to make the jump from "Jeod is a building" to "Jeod isn't a building anymore". While the answer of course is correct, it doesn't follow as an actual argument to make. It isn't viewed as something that is possible within the rules that the game appears to have. Town had two role-changing roles, but neither could change themselves. So how are we to determine that Jeod can just change his own role?
  4. We should play some APB to get some aggression out of our system. Like maybe, now. Also, maybe schedule a game for Friday, from around when hammer was during the game until we stop playing? Yes, of course, and it wasn't obvious on how to do that.
  5. Argh. The logic of a guy new to Verti games. Ah, so they really did target Cat5? I'm glad I protected him then. And the log confirms this. Woop, I did something right! Hopefully this makes up for my not catching on to your "obvious War Factory" thing earlier on, Cat5. Although, it really wasn't that obvious to me. I had no idea why I received a heavy tank in the night, and I didn't connect it to a war factory role, especially considering war factories did not exist in previous mafia games. I guess people got confused anyway, but Jeod really did push them in that direction. ChopBam, I was hoping you receiving that tank just before I said "take the shot!" would allow you to connect the dots that if I told you to take the shot, that had to mean I knew you could, which would mean I was responsible for you receiving it without me outright claiming it. It was deliberately vague, so I don't blame you for not catching on. It wasn't as crazy as thinking that a mafia role can change itself, just for example, but you still did quite well. I hope you keep playing. Yeah, but after I brought it up, Mike asked about it in the vortex doc. I take solace in knowing that when Category5 and I are both town, scum and third party are FUCKED. I don't know about that. I feel like I did very well in this game, but I get myself off track more often than not. It's like the more experienced I get, the more I look for crazy answers that cover up the obvious. (No, VERTi60, Jeod suddenly not being a building is not obvious.)
  6. You were the first person to bring up using an Engineer.
  7. ...But it wasn't the only night kill of the game. ChopBam was killed by one. Not only that, but you made it appear that the Vortex did it.
  8. Oh, right, I forgot to say, my posting gimmick was a bluff. I was hoping someone would try to kill me with it and then I could turn it on him.
  9. You're right, Moony, repeated lynchings of the same person to check for lynchproof is something town would never consider. I only considered it the second time because I have seen mafia dodge lynches because they were given one-time lynchproof. Also, the only reason to go for Jeod a 3rd time is because there isn't anything to lose for doing so. We know he's scum, so if you are going to no lynch, vote for scum even if you can't lynch him. Don't understand why you and Killing_You went for No Lynch. But yes, in short, because town can't be expected to try to lynch the same person twice, mafia should never have unlynchable roles.
  10. On the other hand, Chaos and I should have just voted Jeod and there wasn't much he could do about that. But we didn't because if Jeod was still unlynchable, he could hammer himself and move the game forward again, which we probably didn't want.
  11. Because there are other examples of games that have roles that change at will....where?
  12. You convinced Killing_You of that, yes. On the other hand, game mechanics made something that was possible seem impossible. So what chance did we have, really?
  13. Oh oh! Can we make Spies unable to kill buildings! Pretty please! Exactly. Cat5, think you'd have gone for the Pillbox turned Spy idea if I hadn't brought up repairing the chronosphere? I never bought your Chrono revival plan, so I'm not sure anything would have changed. If I had gotten home on time to stop that nolynch the other day, I might have pressed to lynch you again.
  14. Like seriously, Day 1, pegging you mafia for going after the easy lynch and calling me town before I get lynched. Classic Jeod tells, as you put it.
  15. Yeah, you're right, I'm exaggerating for effect. But, yes, I had you pegged as scum early and often. A lot of my reads about you were correct. In a normal game, you wouldn't have stood a chance.
  16. You literally got away with murder because your role made it implausible that you were mafia.
  17. Jeod was terrible scum! Do you even realize how many slips you made? Why do you think I was after you all game?
  18. Jeod convincing Killing_You to switch roles to Engineer might actually be what won the game. That was a brilliant play, even if Chaos and I were both heavily against it, it convinced the guy that mattered.
  19. Yeah, I was actively thinking about Chaos being third party instead. That's how unlikely the Jeod role switch seemed to me.
  20. I expected a failed lynch instead, but I didn't see any reason not to try it.
  21. Admittedly, I did go after that angle right at hammer, but given what info I thought I knew, I didn't find it likely at all.
  22. Ok, well then. Still, the idea that we would figure out that Jeod switched roles is silly. I actually considered after Chaos said that tp/mafia can't accept his tickets that maybe a mafia role switched Killing_You's role, but then that would have had to be Jeod. And if Jeod changed, I assumed someone else would have had to trigger that change since the other two roles that can change roles can't change themselves. So, I didn't find it likely, which I why I considered other options like the Killing_You is mafia angle and revive someone plans.
  23. Anyway, I'll go along with Chaos' wishes and keep quiet from here on until VERTi60 posts all the extra information. I'll give him kudos for trying a daring setup. If nothing else, it was very interesting.
