Damn you muscle memory. ##unvote ##investigate FRAYDO
-
##vote FRAYDO as to not waste time. Also I feel as if the news report was a bit... embellished.
-
I'm fully aware. I've said all I can say, and when the time comes, my innocence will speak for itself. Provided I don't get shot or blown up, of course.
-
UNHOLY FUCK I forgot about hammer. Oh well. We got a hostile, which is good, and we know our targets moving forward.
-
I'd have a vote on him, but FRAYDO outright said that he had the evidence and the spyglass. I figured he'd be Priority Alpha in that case. And I don't believe that he got demoted to Innocent. That makes Orange the thief, then. We've got our scum team. I suppose Chaos can trace FRAYDO and see where he passes the stuff to, then? I guess I have no reason not to ##investigate Orange.
-
In that case, I'll forgo my "good faith" initiative (never works anyway) and ##vote FRAYDO. Getting that evidence and your spyglass back are high priority. Unless, of course, you feel Orange would be the better target.
-
There probably could've been better ways to do that without raising world tension. Like investigating me today, tomorrow, or whenever it would be most beneficial. You were most likely to roleblock me with that than anything else.
-
>inb4 the grenade bounces off of me and kills FRAYDO
-
I think we've got a while before Nodlied returns. Go right ahead.
-
If this grenade fails, ##SUICIDE Happy now? Maybe I should request scum roles from now on. Clearly it's the only way I'll ever be of any benefit to town.
-
I could've played for town, scum, or myself. I chose town and came to a few wrong conclusions. Big whoop. Again, it's for self-defense. Yeah, I bet FRAYDO was the one who swiped it. How do you not see that as a slip on his part? First off, I don't like going off of GM-Meta arguments like those. It's only a matter of time before it bites us in the ass. Second, I had been scumreading you for a while, I missed the parts where Cat5 went batshit crazy over people voting you. In my head, I was thinking at least one of you was scum, and I didn't care who got investigated first. So yes. I made a goddamn mistake and didn't think things through. Fucking SUE ME. I never had a problem. I was just never under the microscope. As for who gets investigated, if everyone else wants to investigate Orange, fine by me. I'm keeping my vote on myself as a show of good faith. I have nothing to hide, nothing to fear. And, once again, I'm Innocent. How would I be responsible for thieving, killing, thieving again, AND role switching without an alignment change?! For starters, I don't think the amount of warmongers is set in stone. It's possible we have two: one thief and one targetswapper or whatever the hell happened. Also, what is my hidden agenda? And once again, it's a self defense weapon. I'm just telling you what was presented to me. I don't know the ins and outs of the setup. Hoist by my own petard, it seems. All this time I thought keeping it would do me in, when in reality it was getting rid of it that brought about my demise.
-
There's one problem with your story, FRAYDONG (that was for Voe); If I've done all of these things that raise world tension, then why am I still innocent?
-
I'm ready. Doubt it'll help my case, though, as it seems I'm once again being perma-labeled scum, and once again, I have nobody to blame but myself. You guys are half-right when you say that I'm not town. That's because, technically, I'm not. I'm a neutral survivor, who simply has to stay alive or avoid being permanently detained in order to win. That's the short version. The long version is this: I'm the younger brother of one of the assassins, who managed to evade arrest. That's why I had the grenade, my brother had given it to me so that I could use it to defend myself if I needed to. However, I made the decision to get rid of it because I felt like I didn't need it, as explained before. And yes, I did it to gain townie points as well, but not for the same reason you guys think. I don't have any night actions, nor do I have any items at present. I was fully expecting for scum to pass me Cat5's Spyglass and try to get me investigated today so that they could claim I am the thief. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't, though, as being able to come out and say "I have your thing, you can have it back tonight" would have been helpful to everyone. Except scum, of course, but why be helpful to scum? I apologize for my behavior yesterday, though, but I REALLY thought Verti was scum. To be honest, I also thought (and still think) Orange is scum, but I didn't see the harm in letting RNGesus do its thing. That's all there is to it, really. And I don't have any problem being investigated. In fact, ##investigate Killing_You, as I am innocent, have no night actions, and passed away the only item I've had all game. I might have some evidence on me, though (even though my role PM says I don't).
-
Hey, I'm just making sure we have all possibilities out in the open so that we can plan for anything ahead of time. At a time like this, we can't afford to be reactive. Go ahead and review me, if you wish, I don't really care. I've nothing to deserve, and if I'm next on the chopping block, I probably deserve it. I'll explain myself when I have more time (and no posting limits due to night time.)
-
Alright, so a few things. First and foremost, go ahead and move hammer. I personally don't mind. And new rule, if I think someone is scum, assume they're town. In my case, mostly because I was scumreading Verti60 hard, and Orange not as much. Also, the way I see it, this leaves us with four possible scenarios: 1. Orange is telling the truth and scum kill him. In this instance, his role, status, and item will be revealed anyway, and his item will be transferred to the vault. The way I see it, it won't have changed from investigating him tonight, aside from also partly clearing Verti. 2. Orange is telling the truth, but scum ignore him. This is likely the most dangerous scenario, as our sights will be fixated on him tomorrow, essentially giving scum a "freebie" night to do whatever they please. Then they'll likely kill him the next night, as they wouldn't be able to scapegoat him. 3. Orange is telling the truth, but he's immune to nightkills due to his vest. This will have the same outcome as above, unless scum try and fail to kill him tonight, at which point that "freebie" night will be rendered mostly moot. They'd still scapegoat him, though. 4. Orange is scum. After today's result, and taking what we know into account, this is the most likely scenario. Sure, he'll hot potato the evidence away, but we'll hit it at some point. If we investigate him tomorrow and he doesn't flip Hostile, I'd recommend FRAYDO next, as he's the second most likely to be the killer. So at this point, we're moving forward with Cat5's plan of investigate Orange. If we do this carefully and methodically, we can still win.

I feel like I've missed something.
-
I mean, they could if they used a Mother Box disguised as a meteorite.
-
I have to admit, I didn't expect there to be a doctor in this game. Personally, I believe you. Not much I can do, since my vote is still placed firmly on Verti.
-
Yep. Full roleclaim. Tell us everything.
-
Plus, it doesn't necessarily need to be confirmed. It just needs to match up with reality. Even then it may not be believed, but it's far better than not offering one at all. I doubt it'll help your case at this point, though.
-
In my experience, the opposite is true. Generally, the worse you play, the less likely you are to be targeted by scum because they see you as a potential red herring for town to chase while scum do as they please. It's the good players (like Jeod and Cat5 this game) that get the targets painted on their backs by scum. Now, sometimes power roles can also be heavy targets, but those are usually doctors and cops. Even then, if the player is a bad enough townie, scum may decide to use the aforementioned tactic anyway.
-
I wouldn't be so sure, honestly. It's entirely possible that they're both scum arguing to provoke that reaction from you, or that they're both town and are playing pretty poorly. I do see your line of thinking, and to be honest I've got a stronger scumread on Verti. He did start that debacle, after all, and he's claiming to have no problem with being investigated when he clearly does. If I went on, though, I'd be repeating myself.
-
MAFIA EDIT: I agree with the Ninja.
-
I suppose that's fair, although I still think we should keep Verti in check one way or another.
-
Hey Cat5, quick question. How come you chose Orange over Verti? I feel like I missed something, or I've got a wrong read somewhere.
