  1. I mean, if nothing else we can always give the APC a different weapon. The thing uses an M2 Browning IRL, and I don't see what's stopping us from ripping it off of the old APC and slapping it on the current one. And if we need to find a way to make it not better than the Ranger, we could make it fire slower than the M60 so that it's not as great vs infantry, but maybe better vs vehicles. Of course, this is only if we can't strike a good balance by toying with the current stats. What you've got planned seems like it could be a good solution.
  2. That sounds like a good solution. On the subject of the APC, I do feel like they're not used as much as they should be. Perhaps an upgrade in firepower could help?
  3. That happened back in Gamma. The result was Medics that were only used as, essentially, upgraded rifle soldiers. $800 for self healing, team healing, and the same M16 as the base rifle soldier. He was barely used as a Medic. At the time, however, the only alternative was to give him a pistol, which made him essentially useless without other players. The MP5 has given him a happy medium, and he actually feels like he fits as a support unit.
  4. Something to try and make more sense of the situation. In any case, this lynch result is making my head hurt. *downs a bottle of Advil* I go sleepy time now, okay? See you all next day phase.
  5. Is it possible for mafia to refrain from killing overnight? If so, that brings up the possibility that scum remained silent for the express purpose of turning town on each other, then killing off whatever power players remained for an easier win.
  6. inb4 Jeod is allied demo truck that needs a lynch to win
  7. Am I clear to vote on my best bet yet? I really don't want to chance missing hammer and facing the consequences.
  8. We're just a couple of hours away from day end, and tbh I don't want to get slapped with the consequences of forced voting, especially since I may or may not be around at that time. *sigh* But if you insist... ##unvote
  9. Even that would be good enough. Unlynchable scum doesn't make sense to me anyway.
  10. You know what? If Jeod is so eager to prove himself through hammer, we may as well grant his wish. ##vote Jeod Friendly reminder, though: If Jeod flips town, Nodlied is back in the crosshairs.
  11. I must've missed them, then. All I know is that you had to auto decline the ticket Chaos sent you.
  12. At this point, I've given up trying to make sense of the situation and I'm pretty much going with the flow. I'm keeping my vote on Nodlied, unless he can say something to make me believe he's town. I don't need a hardclaim, but I'd like some info on his overnight activities. Sent and received, if that makes sense. Right now, I'm flip-flopping between Jeod and Nodlied, as they are the two most likely scum IMO. The Flame Tower hardclaim is a tough sell, but so is staying tightlipped when most of us are being transparent. MAFIA EDIT: Actually Nodlied, I think I'm letting you off the hook for the moment. After rereading Jeod's posts very carefully, an interesting little tidbit came up: So if he suspected Cat5 of being a Flame Tower early on, then why did he later hardclaim Flame Tower? Why bring up someone else being a Flame Tower if you're one yourself? After all, isn't that thing limited to 1? Explain yourself. I'm very close to putting my vote back on your head.
  13. I still think that the Allied defenses fold a little too easily. I think replacing the Allied WF Pillbox with a Turret would do nicely.
  14. Welp. Looks like Nodlied's probably getting hammered. ##vote Nodlied
  15. Erm... I can only roleblock every other night, and I used it last night, so hopefully nothing catastrophic happens tonight. Many tables would be flipped if that were the case. Agreed.
  16. But that raises a big issue: If we lynch ChopBam and he flips town, we'd have no idea who scum would be while they'd be primed to eliminate the power players and slip their way to victory.
  17. I'm pretty sure you get notified if you get records checked on you. I observed someone point it out with the first game, and I can confirm I didn't have records checked on me. The scumread theory makes a degree of sense. However, this also implies that he checked records on someone else and never reported on it, which is a possibility I haven't considered. But now we're back to square one.
  18. That doesn't explain Mojo pointing fingers at Nodlied Days 2 and 3. Nor the mysterious lack of nightkills so far. This game is one of the silliest things I've seen in a while.
  19. Can you think of anything else that can refill infantry? Maybe a Supply Truck, but that probably wouldn't give accuracy bonuses. Either way, I'm pretty sure he's town, and we'll find out the specifics at the end of the game. For now, time to get scum hunting. We've zeroed in on one target, are there any more?
  20. This is all well and good, and is starting to make the whole situation make more sense than it has thus far, but this still leaves one question: why no nightkill?
  21. That would explain why he got me to shoot at you. Being the war factory, you're a threat to scum, so obviously he wanted you out of the way. And he had your gimmick to back you up. It's a good thing that I missed, at least. Otherwise, he would've steered me towards someone else, using my tunnel vision and nervous demeanor to his advantage. And then just dumped the blame on me, I get hammered, and voila! He gets away having played town like a harp from hell. Son of a bitch, I'm stupid at times. ##vote Jeod
  22. Good point, but what other leads do we have? You're the vet here, so I'd like to know your thoughts.
  23. Come to think of it... yeah... an Allied war factory makes no sense, does it? And I've said that scum have been running us in circles... who's been a major power player? Jeod. Going after Mojo and Isaac pretty hard first couple of days, then drilling me, and now going after Cat5. You both are too well experienced for both of you to be town and still bicker like this. I could be wrong, though. But digging did bring up this little tidbit... What if he checked records on Nodlied before being turned into a visceroid, and wanted to let us know before inevitably being voted out? After all, mafia can't be converted, but I *think* cultists can be nightkilled. Can someone confirm this either way? In any case, he probably wanted to let us know even after the fact. These little tidbits make me think Jeod and Nodlied might possibly be a scumteam. It's not much to go on, I know, but it's all we've got.
  24. Well I'm a nonstandard role, which I'm sure is a shocking revelation. Perhaps you need to calm down and drink some juice. If there is a heavy tank, they'll certainly need a jump. Yes, indeed. Unfortunately, I'm no longer fully charged. Of course, let's dance around the issue at hand here. Or we can make the allies extra crispy. Let's try to put their lights out. And then sing, "Burn, baby, burn!" Maybe that's what the Barracks is for? But that is a valid concern.
