Hello and welcome to W3D Hub! Sorry you're experiencing some issues.

By chance, did you forget to set a nickname in the launcher? I think that can cause an issue like this. We'll do what we can to get you ingame! Check that you've set a nickname and then post back here and we'll go from there!

Firewall issue perhaps? We may have had the same issue, as I was unable to connect to the server too. My solution was to add both the W3D Hub Launcher and game.exe to my firewall exception list. Maybe this would solve your problem as well?

I can't recommend one antivirus over another, as each functions the same as the other. Anyone is feel free to correct me or recommend their choice of antivirus.

Anyhoo, what you need to do is add a couple of programs to your firewall exception list. The reason you cannot connect relates to your firewall blocking your connection, therefore you cannot join the server.

This link here ought to help, if you can follow: How to add an application to the Firewall Program Permissions list

You need to add both the launcher (W3D Hub Launcher.exe) and A Path Beyond (game.exe) to the exceptions list in order to connect online.

As far as a good antivirus, User awareness is the most reliable. (No that isn't a real antivirus name, I mean use safe internet practices. In other words, be an educated user.) If you use Windows 8, 8.1, or 10, I recommend not installing an additional one because Windows Defender is built in and does a decent job. It is not the best, but all of them have issues. Most of the time, either they suck at doing their job or they make your computer suck in the process of doing their job.

Are you familiar with direct connect? Open your W3D Hub Lancher file location, open games and apb-release, and create a shortcut for game.exe. Right-click your shortcut and select Properties, and copy and paste this into the Target:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\W3D Hub\games\apb-release\game.exe" +connect 178.162.193.144:9016 +netplayername stevendu95

Try connecting online with that, or reply if these instructions are not clear enough.

Our server host was doing some maintenance recently so that might be what happened. Can you connect now? Also be sure to check the suggestions mentioned in this thread and in a couple other ones in the help forum. Also, any additional information that you can provide about your issue will be very helpful to us.

Fear not citizen! We will get you ingame somehow! :D
