  1. Not at all, why would you be. I mean, where are your RA2 mugs and T-shirts?

  2. As the title says ea is offering RA2 for free on origin and it comes with the yuris revenge expansion, but only for a limited time (its on the house so it wont last forever). So there you have it RA2 is a freeware now (sort of ) https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/free-games/on-the-house

  3. I have two Soviet disks, two Allied disks, one Yuri disk, two TFD disks, and now a real reason to use Origin. What does that say about me?

  4. They had an update earlier this year. And you need to disable Origin for TUC games when you use them if you don't want the client to persistently overwrite them. Also, why use the TUC version of TS when you have a much better full release and a patch for modern OS-es?

  7. It takes some doing but it is possible (I also laboured for a while with it, only to feel that i should have waited lol). I had to add full permission to the executable to "everyone", run in compatibility mode for XP-sp2 (some other mode may also work, I took the default), run as administrator, and also patch it to 1.006 before it would kinda work. The only things it does wrong now is the loading screen music is all messed up and it gets hung occasionally when trying to load a map while a map is already loaded (it either takes 15 mins to load or the game encounters a "fatal error"). Other than that, it works perfect. For 16:9 ratio monitors, I recommend 1280x800 resolution. It seems comfortable enough. (I realize that this is a 16:10 resolution but it stretches and works out fine. 1280x768 is also available) I did get the original disk version to work I just had to "patch" the exe to get mine to work, but this origin version seems to run better, I just set the RA2.ini to my native res, seems to work fine, game did hang during the second allied mission, have to figure out how to avoid that. I'm planing on doing a let's play soon.

  8. Yeah voted that it's too different; we should start a new one. Who gave me the big red text?

  9. I have The First Decade as well. A shame they didn't make enough games to come out with The Second Decade, but seeing how C&C4 was...

  11. I live in the SF Bay Area of California. I photograph weddings on the weekends, and edit photos full time for the business during the week. The office is about 15 miles from where I live, and some days I get to work from home. During the week, most of what I do is edit photos, but I also manage gear, make sure batteries are charged, handle card clearing, manage hard drives, burn/print DVDs for clients, etc. Just a lot of back-end stuff. When the weekend comes, however, I get to change gears and go out to shoot. Sometimes the weddings are over 100 miles away. Other times, they're just within a few miles of home. The driving is paid for by the business, however, and I get a nice free dinner at the wedding. It's a great gig, since I get to socialize with people during some of the best moments of their lives, and I take pride in helping them remember it.
