  2. BATTLEFIELD 2: PROJECT REALITY A free standalone game with great cooperative gameplay! Some of us W3D Hub staff members (and our friends) have been playing Battlefield 2: Project Reality these last couple of months every now and then, and would like to invite members of the W3D Hub community to join in on the fun and play with us! The game is a standalone total conversion of Battlefield 2 (2005) and is completely FREE! You do not need to own Battlefield 2! Thinking about joining us? Already have the game set up? Want to see Wallywood attack an enemy tank with a shovel? Leave us a reply and join the fun! GAME SETUP INSTRUCTIONS: Download and install Battlefield 2: Project Reality! (click the image under "Mod Downloads", then get the "PR:BF2 v1.3.5 Full" client) Set up an offline account (choose a nickname). (decline if the launcher first asks you to make an online account, then you'll see the offline option) Make sure your game is up-to-date! (the current game version is 1.3.9.0) Download and install Zee's mod! (this changes a few things so that the game is easier to play with less people) Download and install Evolve! (a simple LAN program which we use to connect everyone to our server) Add AZ-Stalker and ZeeHypnotist to your friends list on Evolve. (so we can add you into the party's room) Join AZ-Stalker's Party on Evolve. (one of us has to invite you there first, so don't worry if you don't see it yet) Connect to the W3D Hub TeamSpeak server at ts.w3dhub.com! (you don't need a microphone as long as you can listen in and respond via the in-game text chat) Join the Zee Hive channel. (because that's where all of the awesome things happen) PLAY! Here's an alternate download for Zee's mod if you're having trouble with the individual archive overwrites: [ Zee's Mod 09-08-2016 ] This version is installed by just dropping the folders into the designated location (easy!) but the download itself is about 450mb in size. EXTRA NOTES AND TIPS: - We do not intend on playing with people who are negative or have been causing trouble around W3D Hub or its game servers. We always try to keep up a positive, fun and relaxing atmosphere while playing, so please act accordingly if you do get in a game with us. We have cooperative fun, we do not play competitively. - You will not be able to play online or with anyone who doesn't have Zee's mod, but we do keep backups of the original files so just ask if you need them. - When setting up Zee's Mod, you'll have to open the game's individual archive files and then drag-drop-overwrite the mod files into each of them (about 4 times). - Don't update your game after you've already played with us. That could brake Zee's mod and you'd be one version ahead of the rest of us. - If you see AZ-Stalker, Zee Hypnotist and Wallywood in the Zee Hive channel on TeamSpeak, we're most likely playing so join in! - Make sure to download the game via the torrent link, it's much faster that way. - We have a Skype group going for notifications about when we'll be playing. Do NOT use that group for chatting. We do not want constant notifications. - Feel free to ask for help regarding anything in this thread! - Did you know we can build base structures and defenses in game? 3. Long time no post/talk, some people might remember my name, some may not. I have always liked APB and have always figured it could be redone in Garry's Mod. So far I have come up with this. The server as is, is playable, but because I am unsure if advertising is allowed or not you can find that information in the video instead of me posting it here. The hardest part will be adding vehicles, but it can be done.

  4. I think the MAD tank is just a very misunderstood unit. See, people think its sole purpose is to cause destruction to the allied base, while in reality it's going through puberty as a military vehicle. It could very well be very attracted to the allied ore field, going through that interesting teenage part of life and all.

  5. Steadily on the road to TSR 2.0! A welcome to a new team member and a new structure for Nod. Tiberian Sun: Reborn August 2016 Update Hey everyone! We have said TSR 2.0 was happening, and it is! That said, the team has a couple of updates they would like to fill you in on. New Team Addition First and foremost, a welcome to our newest team member. An experienced and talented artist, @Sentry has come on board to contribute to the project. Sentry will be providing new models and structures to Reborn, and is already showing quality work! As you can see, new buildings are planned to be included in 2.0. Purchase Terminals In more contributions, @Mauler has provided new and modified Purchase Terminals for Nod and GDI. As part of the visual overhaul for 2.0, every thing from vehicles and buildings right down to the PCTs themselves will be seeing improvements. Not only that, but Mauler has something else to show! Although you may already have a good guess from looking at the Nod screen. Nod Tech Center Another new building which you can expect to see in the upcoming version - the Nod Tech Center! Modeled by @Mauler, the Tech Center will be tied to Nod's higher-tier units such as the Cyborg Commando, making this a vital structure on full-arsenal maps. The layout itself is done, both interior and exterior. The model has been provided and will be seeing a full texture soon. More to come! Great things are in store for the new version. There is much more happening behind the scenes, and we're excited to show you those as they finish! Tiberian Sun: Reborn 2.0 will be worth the wait! Stay tuned for more updates and news from the team.

  6. I'm considering getting rid of the friendly fire because MAD Tanks just don't get enough use, and every time someone uses only 1 or 2 of them, all they're really doing is hurting their own team's tank rushes. It feels like something the original developers did just for the sake of sticking to RA (which as we all know did not have much thought put into its balance). I can always drop its health down to 300-350 or reduce its speed a little or something along those lines to compensate. What are your thoughts? Be sure to post as well as poll if you have any input on why this is a bad idea or how to do it better.

  7. Voe, it would require 3 MAD Tanks to actually destroy anything from full health, not to mention it has a timer and an announcement. That said, I say keep the friendly fire because that's the very nature and definition of a Mutually Assured Destruction Tank. My lack of using them isn't related to friendly fire, but rather that it requires teamplay to be effective and I'm a lone wolf.

  8. This actually sounds like a good idea. I seen far less MAD rushes than before. Removing friendly fire will allows for MADS to be added to attack groups even as support damage unit, placing one when sieging a base to deal area damage while rest of forces attacks. #Approved.
