  1. Of course, said major defenses fall rather easily to a few volleys of arty/V2 fire, so there should be a slight penalty for letting the power plant die aside from losing the major defenses.

  3. I would like to see more neutral structures that could be captured in maps. Say like the oil pumps, repair depots, refill pads, fuck, maybe even a small outpost that has all three can only be captured by the enemy once the faction specific defenses have been destroyed.
  4. Then how about just basic units like the heavy tank and flamethrower, or the light tank and the thief? Or would that still be pointless.
  5. I was wondering, since we have buildings that can be captured, is there a way to implement something like this to allow the enemy to build/train their forces for there own now? Like soviets building MGGs and Mechanics, and the allies building mammoth and tesla tanks?
  6. Yeah what happens in APB if a spy gets into a Soviet radar dome again? If nothing happens, something should happen. Nothing happens if the Allies still have radar themselves, though if they don't the spy will restore it by setting up a relay inside of the soviet one. Though I don't know if it will stay that way if the soviet radar dies.

  8. If that was added, the plane should be able to be brought down, either by AA defenses or Rocket men, as that would make the AA defenses important to some extent as opposed to just acting as a deterrent to Hinds and a lesser extent to Chinooks.
  9. If we're going down that route, why don't we just make it so that it becomes an Allied AI tank and starts shooting the soviet base? And hey! If camo demos ever come out....
  10. Except the Tanya camos, which were already a part of the game but were just never used. (Check the always.dat for Beta and see for yourself. ) That's probably the only decent infantry model in APB, so yeah, I suppose you might be able to add camos into Delta for it her. Certain other models might not need to be redone, just updated and re-textured at higher resolutions. Volkov's overal shape is fine for example, but just needs some mesh corrections and a paint job. Some infantry models got animation issues as well, such as extreme neck stretching under some conditions. I'd like to see this extreme neck stretching, but as for infantry camo, the only unit that SHOULD have camo is the sniper. Seeing as his only real defenses is range and hiding. Get in close and 9 times out of 10 you're more than likely to win. The 1 time out of 10 the sniper probably pulls a snapshot on your head or guns you down with his pistol, albeit badly injured.
  11. Well, one of my concerns have already been mentioned. Buildings too easy to capture, but to be honest, I've always felt that bases should be more fortress like.

If cruisers, for whatever reason are added, should be limited to one on the map at any one time similar to the MK II from Reborn, have twice the range and total damage of a V2, but half the rate of fire as said V2 and as accurate as a rifleman jumping and moving. It should also move slower, say, half the speed of the mammoth tank going uphill as well.
  13. It's unfortunate that the match you played ended within 3 minutes due to an infantry rush. I'll be reducing the potential for those early rushes to have a chance at success for the final release. I was apart of that rush, and only got on when I was going to act protection for the engineer that we had to cap the icebergs...needless to say the driver got a major albeit unsaid WTF from me.

  16. Thats ok. He's a tester. If he'd been to any of the recent testing sessions then he'd know all about Hostile Waters.... It's his first post here on the forum...so I didn't notice the tester tag at first.
  17. I honestly want to say what's going on with Hostile Waters, but since I'm not the maker of the map, or a dev member, I'm not going to spoil anything.
  18. True, unless said soldier was alone or they were very tightly grouped and all of them were flattened.
  19. And I guess infantry would be smart enough to waste ammo on flickering lights that moved around and was followed by the sound of an engine?
  20. Last I checked, TD guard towers could detect AND reveal Nod's stealth tanks.
  21. I'd love to someday see an APB/Reborn crossover. GDI Mammoth MK II and disrupters vs. Soviet Mammoth tanks and V2 anyone? Or Nod stealth tanks vs. Allied Phase Tanks?

  24. I thought we were supposed to be able to build supply trucks even after the warfactory was dead. Or was that removed?
