  1. If that's the reason then the accusation is even more ludicrous. KY is smart enough to know Cat5 wouldn't fall for that trick; he'd try it on someone newer to being buddied.
  2. I don't think there's enough scumtelling from KY to vote him yet. One post isn't much to jump on, except for the one time I caught him as scum due to his fencesitting. If he was a partner with Cat5, Cat5 wouldn't allow KY to buddy him so soon and so easily, and would probably go on the offensive to bus KY a bit.
  3. Allied buildings are impossible and unbalanced, Vert wouldn't include them. /Cat5
  4. Precisely, which is why I err on the side of caution when it comes to debating "outdoors vs indoors". It's a flimsy snowball that can grow larger as time goes on--an opening for scum to control the narrative.
  5. http://cnc.wikia.com/wiki/Suspicion Perhaps I'm being too outlandish. But Kosigyn being a hostile third party came to mind when I read about the missions surrounding Dark Horseman base. Besides that, Verti said in his intro posts that there would be a mystery role. Whether that's a third party (previous game data backs this) or a new scum role remains to be seen and isn't something I know yet. My perspective is entirely the way I tend to look at Verti's games lore-wise, so your attention to my perspective is a nothingburger, suffice to say.
  6. Nothing more persuasive than a random scientist from the underground facility. I hope that angle wasn't your big a-ha moment.
  7. Did..did you click any of the links or read my initial theory post?
  8. I just said those were the optimal roles. Of course I still suspect that's the case--two mafia and a hostile third party. Nothing significant has happened yet, so I have no reason to change my suspicions.
  9. It's still over-complicating the setting. Indoor vs. outdoor seems like a giant waste of time and resources.
  10. I like that idea. It's even better than what I was going to say! (A stalemate resolution button pops up somewhere in the map)
  11. No, no, he is. We just don't feel the need to justify it anymore.
  12. I highly doubt that the base composition matters as much as you guys think it does. The only things I thought were connected to it were the third party and the airfield.
  13. I didn't recognize it at first. Verti has a track record with lore connecting to roles (see: Molotov Brothers in APB IV), so I punch keywords into the ol' wiki to see what comes up. As it turns out Dark Horseman is the first Allied mission to mention missile silos.
  14. I agree with your hypothesis that a third party would want to stop the missile silo(s). If Verti's track record is any indication, game flavor often provides clues into new roles. In this case, the inclusion of Dark Horseman base in the Day 1 post leads me to believe that Vladimir Kosygin could be our man. Although, the Allies only discovered Dark Horseman after he defected, so our Mystery V is still a toss-up. Also, given the setting of Dark Horseman, the importance of the airfield in protecting the base means we probably have some air roles. Return of the air masonry? Sources: http://cnc.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Horseman http://cnc.wikia.com/wiki/Vladimir_Kosygin
  15. Because of their win condition. Those three are the best roles for the job.
  16. So the Allies essentially have a little under a month (21 real-time days) to find the Missile Silos. We have 12 players in the game, and the Allies have six possible nightkills, and even if we factor in the possibility of day kills, the odds of the Allies outnumbering us before Day 7 are low. That means that the Allies are dependent on finding the Missile Silos--there is no alternative way for them to win save for pulling off the biggest heist in our history of mafia games. It won't happen because I'm not mafia this time. So! Given the win condition, I'll take a bet for the roles. Allied #1: Sniper Allied #2: Medic Allied #3 (if exists): Engineer This is of course supposing that there are no new roles in the game, and I'm certain that at least one scum is a new role.
  17. Shit, I thought this started on the 19th. *starts doing brain teasers and mind yoga*
  18. It sounds like particle effects are the primary suspect so far. Do you remember what you were doing on the map? What vehicles, weapons, etc?
  19. Can you provide details for the symptoms? What were you doing ingame at the time of the RAM spike? What are your game settings at? What's your operating system, is it 32/64 bit, and what's your current RAM and CPU/GPU?
  20. Do that. Determine a threshold and make it happen. Problem solved.
  21. The a-bomb is perfectly fine the way it is, and the only thing I like about your proposals is the timer scaling. If a-bombs aren't already cancelled mid-flight when a missile silo is destroyed, they should be. This gives the attacking team an opportunity to react--and honestly, if a base is completely empty due to the entire team attacking while a missile silo is still alive, it's on the team. Teamwork doesn't mean all-in, it means having players in the right places working together. That means leaving one or two behind to defend.
  22. I love how I'm signed up even though I haven't posted. I'm in a limbo for work right now due to an unforeseen medical condition, and I'm awaiting notice from my work on when/if I can return. If I do, my work schedule will either resume as normal (Thursday - Sunday 7AM-5:30PM) or change. If I continue work at this facility, I cannot use my phone at all during work hours, and it's not feasible to bring my phone into the building during break or lunch. As a result, I will be less active than all previous games. I will post updates as I get them. And yes, I am still signing up.
