Alright, let's send Voe.
-
Voe, look at it this way. If you enter this championship to represent us and you still die Day 1 or Night 1, you will never ever live it down.
-
OrangeP47 actually gave a great reason to give him the nomination. I'm just waiting on clarification for observers.
-
About that, I have all character requests and just need to finalize and balance the game. If I can get that done before Saturday afternoon, then I'll be set to start the CYOR game on May 1.
-
Hey Thingyman, sorry I haven't acknowledged you! Thanks for recognizing our little community! Question, will we be able to observe the game live? If so, what's preventing us from helping our rep (same goes for other communities)? If it's allowed, then to what extent, etc etc.

Apocalypse Rising Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising - Ask a developer!
Jeod replied to OWA's topic in W3D Hub Discussion
Is it a dev goal to have AR up to APB Delta standards before release? If so, release might take a lot longer than anticipated and hoped for. -
I'll also nominate Verti60.
-
Like I said, I'd love the opportunity but I'd have to decline a nomination at this point for the reasons given above.
-
If you're going the industrial route with icebergs, might I suggest a few well-placed lamp post props for lighting?
-
Sounds like a neat way to promote APB and TSR. I'm all for it and I nominate Category 5 Hurricane. I'd love a chance to participate myself, but I'm about to get married (on the 23rd, speak of the date) and this sort of activity isn't something I'm willing to handle during the next month. Cat5, think you can manage 10 day posts per day? ;p

A Path Beyond Which old APB maps should we bring back?
Jeod replied to ChopBam's topic in W3D Hub Discussion
Ah, the fond memories of initiating phase tank rushes + nuke while soviets were hitting our base with heavies and mammoths with techs repairing. Plenty of races against the clock. -
Definitely using this.

A Path Beyond Which old APB maps should we bring back?
Jeod replied to ChopBam's topic in W3D Hub Discussion
I remember The Woods Today as being the more strategic of maps, I believe because it didn't have any powerful base defenses but did have missile silos and a-bombs. More frantic, yes. It ensured more teamwork. -
I don't know if that will work well. With the points you (OrangeP47) made about newer players not knowing what to do on the map (naval units are scarcely used in APB maps in the first place), the victory on any HW map will be whichever team has the veterans. What do you do when you start a new map for the first time ever and have no money to buy a unit? Explore! And where do you explore to? Toward the enemy base to scout the map. I'd wager more often than not, new players don't realize the map has naval yards and sub pens until they try to buy a unit and see the purchase icons.

What about moving the barracks locations to an underground room connected to the surface of a base via tunnel? Granted that wouldn't make sense map-wise, since who builds a barracks underground on an island, but it would make the most vital structure harder to get to.

Wait, I sized it down? How? By uploading it as an attachment? I'll redraw my Rick, but I gotta do it right. -

!vote surrender is your best fit. I recall some instance where a smaller number of players needed to vote to initiate a surrender, and then the other team had to accept it. Might have been a different game.

Event [DAY 9 - Game End] Death Note themed Detective Mafia Forum Game
Jeod replied to VERTi60's topic in Forum Games
The timeline stuff didn't bother me, it's that the timeline change apparently magically changed the personalities of everyone that I hated. Hollywood keeps trying to "Americanize" everything, and they constantly destroy everything they do it to.- 2,409 replies

Yep, TNG Riker. Fiancee has Civil War versions of Cap and Bucky in boxes on our dresser. She didn't want to take them out of their boxes.- 2,409 replies

Verti you dog! Speaking of figures, Funko POP is releasing death note figures this summer. I have Will Riker sitting in my windowsill right now (his head barely peeks out the window), and we're going to add L when he comes out.- 2,409 replies
