  1. Depends how many are ready to go, but I suspect at least 8, with more being patched in shortly after release.
  2. We didn't, NVIDIA caused that bug due to a change in their drivers, long after Gamma was released. How were we supposed to guess they would do that and add something to fix it before it happened? Scripts 4.0 has since been updated to work around the problem, so TS:Reborn and, in fact, any future versions of RA:APB will work without the control panel fix. We have capacity for up to three official servers, we'll load up more servers based on demand. I'm not sure if the server pack will be available on day one, but it'll certainly be available shortly thereafter if not. I'll probably be putting together an installer for that. The new launcher, which will ship with Reborn, gets it's server listing from an XML file on the BHP backend. This file is currently updated manually with new servers, so anyone who would like their server listing can contact me to have it added. In future we'll be setting up a plugin that'll talk to the backend and add servers when they are live (and remove them when they are dead) Yes.

  4. No, it wasn't a joke, we always planned to release something on the 17th, subject to us having something shippable by that date. Unfortunatly we found more bugs and balance issues than we were anticipating and we decided to hold off until we're happy with everything. Fun fact, since the Bug Tracker appeared on the forums over 200 bugs and other issues have been reported for Reborn, with over two thirds of those already fixed and many others being worked on currently.

  8. I don't know what the spy did in RA or RA2 because I never used them, but I'm going to hazard a guess at... no. Not in the initial release anyway. It stabs things. And has a pistol. And some decoy C4.

  11. I've never heard of this blood soaked dragons thing before and advertising comes after release, no point pulling people in before it's ready, they'll forget about it after a day or two without anything to play.

  13. No kidding OWA, I've never seen so many bugs in our internal testing as I have with Reborn!
  14. It's not just a matter of tracking down the assets, we need to figure out how to make them available to players, balance them, etc. Jump in the staff Skype group, we discuss this sort of stuff in there usually.
  15. Not even with height maps. An LE height map just gets transformed into a (horribly unoptimised and laggy) terrain mesh before it reaches the engine, so all the engine sees is a standard map that looks like it's been created by 100 monkeys hammering on a keyboard for a few days (in terms of efficiency and whatnot)

The bombing run kill at 1:45 (5 minutes left in game) is in fact the culmination of all my efforts to get rid of you starting at your kill at the 2:05 mark (19 minutes left in game) Yeah, I know I was trying to keep a nice flow through the action though so I chopped and changed stuff about a bit. Glad to know you spent an entire game trying to kill my green balls of doom machine though

Theres not much cosmetic difference from last years testing, but there are a lot of under the hood improvements and balance changes being implemented... we also had to rebuild a lot of the LE presets from scratch due to poor version coherency in the past The code is in scripts.dll, which was recently shipped on renegade forums. There have been additional fixes for Reborn bits since that particular version that will be included in the next scripts.dll release.
