  1. So we had our little AR TV livestream session, raw developer work shown. Was it any good?
  2. Okay. I will be streaming tonight at 11 pm GMT + 0 (7.5 hours from the time of this post). When the time comes, you will be able to tune in on http://original.livestream.com/apocrising01 In case there are 3 people watching at least we can make it a regular thing. That includes Teamspeak so you can ask questions about what you see while I'm modding
  3. If there is any interest, we can resume the AR TV, which shows a developer working on the game live at certain times. In fact, I have been livestreaming the modeling process of the Allied Airforce HQ in the past days a lot. If you want to tune in when I work on the game I need to know in advance
  4. Oh come on. Trance is good music
  5. I wanted to switch the bike to wheeled physics long ago to fix the still occuring event when you land on your side and boom but the new physics are indeed quite good, great job there.
  6. That would be nice, I like that. Or just have it do this automagically anyways. Or make its behaviour change on button press. Agressive, defensive, follow me, stand still. Other than that, you can also switch to it to do sophisticated control.
  7. And it seems Shnappz has already given it a name... Someone needs to play more RA2 Unholy Alliance mode in RA2 meant you started with both an Allied and a Soviet MCV.
  8. Well they would be on the same "team" as far as the game knows. It would just be a...superteam i guess is the word. It would just have all units from both sides. Friendly fire would protect against that because its all on the same side, just not the way we see it. Tell me if im making sense.... I understand it I can't think of a way to have 2 war factories building different units though. Not on the same team.
  9. That's actually not a bad idea. There could be maps where Yuri's forces guard something (a superweapon, a gattling cannon, etc.) that keeps actively attacking both sides. It would then be a mini goal ingame for BOTH sides to get rid of them Or a mission map where both sides need to get the same thing from Yuri's forces.
  10. Yeah. If some lines don't match up, apply an adjustment with uvw unwrap Or just leave it.
  11. Yes why not the GDI War Factory. There is a repeating texture on the back of it. All of the AR buildings are uvw mapped and unwrapped too.
  12. I use UVW mapping on buildings and then fine tune their sizes and carefully position their edge lines with UVW unwrapping. If you have a repeating texture that needs adjustment then this is the way to go.
  13. I reinstalled TFD and the cnc5net client on top yesterday, no problems :s
  14. You also need to set the stage 0 mapping to Linear Offset and change the speed of it in LE. You can find that towards the end of this video tut: https://secure.w3dhub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=414804

  16. Not really, it's good to see you are interested in all this rather than nobody posting questions.
  17. I'd rather see it on UE4 than UDK to be honest.
  18. Pixelmodel! You had some fun time with it
  19. I don't know how the engine reads it but I know that "Add" shader mode on Pass 2 will add the texture on top of the Pass 1 texture. Here's a basic texture and then the fake reflection added on top of it: First one has the second pass disabled, second is setup like in this tutorial. I've added this extra to the first "post". You can read about how materials work here: http://w3dhub.com/tutorials/content/w3d_materials.htm
  20. Hello citizens of the W3D world! Today is the day when we open the gates of the W3D Tutorials section of the forum to everyone. We promised a tutorials database back in February when the website has launched and we have achieved just that. This new forum area will hopefully help everyone who is looking to learn how to use the W3D Engine! About the tutorials Back in 2002, when C&C Renegade was released, Westwood provided the community a little "HowTo" package that explained how to create your own vehicles, characters, weapons, etc. for the W3D Engine. Shortly after, the community created lots of tutorials themselves. The biggest of the sites hosting them is not reachable anymore, but Läubi's Renhelp website is still alive and kickin'! These tutorials helped to expand everyone's knowledge of the W3D Engine and provide step by step instructions on how to to make your creations come to life within the game! So what's new? We have been working hard to revive old, forgotten and deleted tutorials by locating, reformatting and updating them. With help from oxi and Strike we were able to recover a lot of the tutorials that used to be on MP-Gaming.com's forums. All of these tutorials, new and old, are either free to distribute (and the authors are credited everywhere) or the original authors have given us permission to re-host them here. The tutorials that we have copied were heavily scrutinised and hand picked by us, as there were a lot of tutorials that were either too poorly written/old or they covered the same/similar game areas. This means that you will not find any low quality tutorials hosted here. More importantly though, there is now a huge amount of completely new tutorials that we can guarantee that you have never ever seen before on other websites! The future We will continue to add tutorials as new features become available in the engine and we will keep our eyes open for your feedback on existing tutorials as well as requests for new ones! If you want to add your own tutorials, go right ahead! Please bear in mind that they will need to be approved by an admin or moderator though! Check out the tutorials section here!
