Nozzy
For whatever reason I cannot get Print Screen to work and can't figure out how to take a screenshot otherwise, so I'll try to just explain it best I can. On certain maps I think I'm missing some models or textures, I believe they are meant to be decorative, perhaps barrels? They appear as a white outline of half a cube, a placeholder. Is that just me or are some maps missing some things? If I knew how to get a screenshot I'd provide the evidence. >_>
Einstein
Pretty sure thats like that for everyone but I could be wrong. And as far a Screenshots, I think its just the PrntScrn key and I believe it outputs to the documents folder...maybe...correct me if i'm wrong!
Nozzy
You are correct about the screenshots! So.. what are they? Edited October 16, 2015 by Nozzy

Isaac The Madd
I had the same problem when I had a computer that could run TRS.
danpaul88
I did ask a while back for anyone who was experiencing the problem shown above to send me their always2.dat file but nobody ever did. Since I can't reproduce the issue on any of my own machines or indeed on any virtual machines I've spun up there's not much I can do about it.

I changed the extension and uploaded it as a .txt file because it wouldn't allow .dat files.
danpaul88
Can you zip it instead? Text files are liable to get modified in transit which could corrupt binary files
Nozzy
Yep. always2.zip

danpaul88
That always2.dat file looks valid to me and it contains all the models that are supposed to be in those locations... so I'm not sure why they're not working for some players. They certainly load fine on my own machines...

moonsense715
Why are you looking in always2.dat? We knew it months ago that it's supposedly not the buggy file. As for you having no white boxes, have you checked in LAN or on the FDS? I am personally having these issues on the FDS.
triattack
can someone check if it's still there apperently the version on the server was last modified in november last year while the one on my laptop was last modified on 6-8-2014.
moonsense715
No need, the model is also missing in LAN mode. Whoever wanted to move that missing model to always2.dat from always.dat, it never happened. It just got removed from always.
Isaac The Madd
Does anyone have a screenshot of what is supposed to be there? So Danpaul still has it in always?
danpaul88
Moonsense, I can clearly see the models in as always2...
moonsense715
My bet is that LevelEdit can't load models from always2.dat when it tries to load the proxies so the map ends up with missing models on export. I'll take a look at this if noone else does until then. It also looks strange how always2.dat has a lot of w3d files but not the textures belonging to them.
danpaul88
They all use common textures shared with other things. I've not got around to doing much with always2 in a while
