  1. Sounds like a plan! I have really got my heart set on experiencing it from the 1st person perspective though !
  2. haha racks very funny!! Where can i download it?
  3. Live HTTP headers, always found this useful!
  4. RA2 was probably my most played games online so I'm really looking forward to it coming to CNCNet. It will have tunnelling server support so if you're on a 3G mobile connexion like me, you can play it too ! They've fixed all the hax aswell 8-) not that it would be hard to circumvent... Not that I will 8-)!
  5. That looks really awesome mate... well done. Love the concept.. When i first read the description i wasn't sure, but after looking at the game play i can see that that it looks really fun!
  6. Heh forgot to add SQL! Wow everyone looks pretty skilled
  7. So who here is into programming or coding. I see there are a lot of digital artists/3d modellers, but what about programming? What languages does everyone know? I'm "fluent" in the below. C++ PHP VB 6 I think once you've learned one language, it's not too hard to pick up others. This is self taught, I never went to university !
  8. Valid point. However, the makers of the W3D engine are also the makers of all the original C&C games (those lovely Westwood folks). While this project is not on their engine, it is spawned from their inspiration. It and projects like it are thus welcome here. Well said!
  9. Hey KillingYou, what software do you use? I've been producing music for years in Fruity loops.
  10. Anyone else really wanna play that map after a bit of touching up ?
  11. That helps, Thanks a lot. I guess because you've textured it in your 2D art program (like gimp) when you texture the unwrapped model, it'll fit like a glove. The exact way it should do.
  12. Right, i have very limited cooking ability but i like making fajitas: I get three peppers (green, red and yellow) some people call them capsicums. One onion and two red chilli peppers. I cut them all up I throw them in a frying pan with some chicken I use some chilli & garlic stir fry paste mix it all together for a while and Ta da! I put them in fajitas and cover them in the spiciest sauce i can find
  13. Here's mine: Audi A5 2014 If you look real close you can see my girlfriend
  14. Really looking forward to seeing these guys.. I feel like these communities are missing a stable base of in depth tutorials. I think it'll get a lot of people involved who normally wouldn't bother!
  15. O_O that's brilliant... Haddaway would've been proud. I kind of like the fact that someone took a lot of time rigging that up and in the end it's pointless. Just doing something for the sake of doing it
  16. Do you know why the renegade textures were originally so cartoonish? What was westwood's intention here?
  17. OWA, That would be fantastic... I look forward to it
  18. and in addition to that... say i create this model with a shed load of poly's how would i then reduce this to work in the engine? Is it a case of remodelling the whole thing from scratch? Thanks
  19. Another thought: Following on from my texuring question in the other thread. It would be nice to have a tutorial of next steps after you've unwrapped your model. Like the exact process of texturing the UVWMap in 3DS Max and how you export it properly, including the textured and unwrapped part of it?
  20. that's the oither thing, we don't all have super computers (i might do after Einstein helps me build mine) but at the moment, Ren-X, Deus Ex - Human Revolution etc etc just wont run on my PC. Even if they did, i'm sure i'd still play APB & TSR more.
  21. You guys are the best! Sharing your knowledge is very noble!! I'm not sure if this is too much to ask, but here goes: 1. Modelling a building in 3ds and importing it into LE. Including: The modelling process for Interiors & exteriors for a industrial-esque looking building. MCT's & PT's Also a brief run down of how you do the vehicle building animation. You know like on APB where it seems to create a vehicle by pulling all the parts together and then a nice shiny vehicle appears. Finding out how to integrate that into a building would be really interesting. Just a basic process flow chart of steps briefly outlining a "best practise" for buildings. I understand that this is a LOT of areas to cover, so i completely understand if this is far too much for one tutorial. 2. Level Edit navigation & "ins & outs" tutorial It would be really nice to see a tutorial just run through exactly what everything in LE does and how to use it properly. 3. Vehicle implementation I dont expect a tutorial on how to model vehicles, as i've actually found a few rigging tuts for RenX which i haven't had a chance to try yet, but it would be nice to get an idea how to actually implement them into LE. IE how to make them appear in your warfac once you've purchased them etc... Even, if you only get a chance to do a tutorial for the bare minimum of what i've requested, it will be truly appreciated.
  22. Hit the nail on the head... I swear to god, sometimes my eyes hurt so bad from playing Call of Duty just trying to pick out enemies in the ridiculously detailed enviroments.
