    Day One

You all awake to the sounds of wailing alarm sirens.

"Attention citizens! Due to multiple violations of Imperial law this space station has been reallocated to the Interstellar Refurbishing Syndicate by the segmentum government on Hydraphur. Please remain in your quarters until acquisition is complete."

The wisdom of this course of action is cast into doubt when hab block 63b is ripped from the station by concentrated lance fire. Fighting erupts in your hab sector when IRS infiltrators begin to sabotage critical life support systems...

The Militia wins when all IRS aligned players are dead.

IRS players win when they achieve parity with town numbers regardless of remaining attack actions.

If there are additional alignments, their objectives are unknown at this time.

The thing is, I can see why everyone loves this game.  It really gets the foreshadowing *right*, and when there's a payoff, it feels great.  Like 75% of modern media tries to do that, but 90% of it fails to do it right.  This game does it right.  It's the type of thing you need like a FBI murder investigation room to plan.

You should read/watch So I'm A Spider. Foreshadowing with payoff is the bread and butter of that to the point you can't google characters names without spoiling something.

Either nobody is going to know what these stats mean or only Shade is going to know what these stats mean.  The first would be great, so Shade, I forbid you from reading the wiki.

He knows what they mean because he's been arguing about his kill chances with me since he signed up :p

I don't expect anyone to understand them, I'm just including them for full disclosure.

Comparing to W3Dhub mafia games, To hit is the roll you need on a d6 to hit, Strength and Toughness determine your damage chance, and Armor is the roll you need to not take damage from a shot.

To Hit Ranged To Hit Melee Strength Toughness Wounds Attacks Armor
    Guardsman 4+ 4+ 3 3 2 1 5+

So a strength 3 shot from a guardsman against another guardsman has a 50% chance to hit, 50% chance to damage, and a 66% chance to pass armor for a total 16.5% chance to deal damage. Everyone has 2 wounds this game.

Realistically if you look at how your role would compare to a AR or TS mafia game you should have a good idea how strong your weapon is. Overall roles are about as or less killy then it's counterpart in other games.

That explanation would be a lot clearer if you made it clear that BS = base strength and WS = weapon strength.

The S stands for skill in those stats. I think I'm going to edit all your PMs to change the to hit stats to percentages because nothing messes with them this game.

Could always consider changing the format to making it more objective based.

Vote for which players go on a mission into the Black Fortress, and if a Mafia member is on the team they can sabotage that entire mission causing it to fail.

First side to 3/5 successes /losses is the winer. It's a tested format in other similar games so it should work.

If I wasn't starting a new job in a week I'd consider it.

Upper left below search there is a factions tab. Select the faction you're interested in, and then you should have a datasheets tab in the upper right. It's not really that helpful as pointed out to me in PMs because you kind of need to know how 40k works to interpret the profiles.

Realistically all I need is what flavor of character you're interested in and if you'd prefer shooting or ranged combat.

Or something like "I want to be an anime girl" would work as well :v

Gimmie a PM template of things I should include and example options, because following the links you have provided doesn't help much. I don't understand how choosing between Open and Matched play should apply to a mafia game role.
