Yep. If I use a different capitalization it returns a 'not found in database' error, whereas the correct one does what I described above.

Technically a problem with the stats tracking I guess. I've been trying to use this http://www.w3dhub.com/ranks/apb/rankimages.php It doesn't return an image for my name, OrangeP47, despite stats being tracked, and if I try and use or manipulate the code I get all manner of errors, mostly about not a defined size of image, so it's not just a failure to load on the stats site. I did search if this has been asked before but didn't find anything, but maybe I derped on it, so sorry if I missed it. If it's bleedingly obvious where it is I'm double sorry

Well, at the risk of blowing my second post right away, I'll just say that maybe I'm getting a bit impatient with our strategy of just checking everyone off a list one by one... Not that I want something bad to happen, just that it feels like we're running out of material to go off of. I do agree this doesn't really change anything big picture we'd been speculating on.

Well, we have one basic task force revealed... not the best outcome... I don't fault the thought process we used to get here though. Sometimes these things happen. Does anyone have a plan based off this new information they'd wish to propose? We do have some ideas floating around out there, and feel free to reiterate, but I'm just curious as to what changes this makes in people's reasoning.

Well, we have to remember, among players, we're mostly trying to find Kira 'supporters', with the big bad pulling the strings from behind the scenes. I find it hard to believe they wouldn't have at least some instrument to torment the rest of us with. I'll address your theories first. 1. FRAYDO, while suspicious for being inactive, I have a feeling isn't as inactive as we're led to believe. He's been paying attention at least enough to make a kill if he wanted to. 2. See the above, I just find that hard to believe things would be set up that way. 3. That's possible. Infighting is most productive for the scum. This leads me to another long standing point in that while we have accusations, and suspicions, and maybe even good reasons for said things, we don't have anything on what Kira and co are actually doing... 4. Possible, but I still maintain that the key to death note power is touching it not opening it, so our debate on the matter isn't really on target right now. That said, with no deaths, looking inside wouldn't reveal much either way probably which is why I've not whined about it more. As for my own ideas, I'd mainly add that while I think we can 'make use' of Cat 5 somehow, I don't believe him that he never had the note. Even if we accounted for shenanigans from him, though, we still have the second that's been floating around. Overall, the paths we know of these notes have taken is very.... strange... for lack of a better word. None of the maneuvering seems to be at all advantageous to scum, if we assume everyone involved is town. So either someone we trust shouldn't be trusted or there's a third note the scum are keeping close to their chest that they're planning on using to kick off whatever plan they have.

Well I'm still thinking there's that third out there too that we don't have anything on. Which means main-Kira is just taking his sweet time, which would be a bit baffling, but it's not outside the realm of possibility. I'd point to the non-result on Jeod D1 kind of slowing down the intended game maybe.

I browse reddit mostly these days, for 2 reasons. 1) To find random interesting things when I'm bored, and 2) because some specialized niche communities I'm interested in mostly post through there, specifically for a few Lets Play channels, but also one of the big subreddits I follow is for dash cam videos, because I'm obsessive about car crashes And soccer, some good soccer contacts I have through reddit. Aside from that, I'm not too too active anymore, but I on and off follow a lot of history and politics forums, but those are the more academic bent not the popular kind. And lastly there are one or two for specific forum games/RPGs too, but the ones I follow are mostly dead.

You have a somewhat long timeline to set the far bound, though, IIRC. Like on the order of days. This would be a slow burn. Maybe a special power in addition to the normal death note use, that requires the person to have the death note to use. Also thanks Voe

I just had a thought... so far we've not really had any idea how manipulation would work, and also it's been said there are risks from doing a meeting, but those have also been vague... what if the death note can be used to set someone up like a time bomb where they kill a specific person if they meet and then they themselves die... hmmm... Just extra food for thought.

I can appreciate not saying who, as that's a layer of defense, but I also do counter that doesn't let us vet the decision as thoroughly. If they themselves don't know ahead of time too it'll stop even them from initiating a doc to hear the other plan, if they wish. Things to consider.

I am also fine investigating FRAYDO if it's what the group wants. I just want some accountability on the handling of the note to make sure at the very least we have a plan Given the extended deadline it's fine to take some time to think about it, as it's a pretty big deal and fairly complicated to get a good plan, but before hammer I at least want to see some commitment. Commitment is even more important for me than if I like whatever plan is settled on or not In the end I may disagree with whatever decision there but I'll at least respect that a decision has been made.

Well I personally don't care either way if people look or not, that's not a primary concern in my reasoning. My my primary concern is getting that note to a location we can use it to sniff Kira.

I think the change will happen once someone *uses* the note, which is different and distinct from just taking a look. As for Jeod, he's not trying too hard. He's just trying to not be bored as he waits, powerless, for the rest of us to actually figure something out, heh.

Also I feel the need to state the obvious again, but: People can lie. In a one-on-one it's a lot easier than to the group too, probably.

The thing is... and I can't say this without sounding at least a bit like a jerk... I don't think Voe has enough meta knowledge to fake his position. Also his argument about the game changing once the note used is pretty convincing, at least when taken out and fully developed, with the assumption that our D1 vote on Jeod and then surprise finding of Misa broke the expected flow of the game design... Which is a convo we've had in docs. I provided one option. You don't have to agree, but the radio silence on it is... troubling... I'm at least expecting if my logic is bad for people to try and shoot me down Granted, relying on meta, but I still say it's safe to just look. A few points on this, other than some general strange language: That's a very charitable reading of CK, and this is me saying that as someone's who's been saying third parties are no threat this entire time. His goal may be Anti-Kira, but he's also the sort to be willing to throw the town to the wolves to get the personal glory. Also, while I of course can't criticize not suspecting oneself, citing info held very close to the chest just doesn't seem very convincing, especially if that's then extended to others. ----- However, this is all throwing shade on others, and I'd be a hypocrit if that's all I did after saying that's not a good way to make an argument. Therefore, I have a few proactive points. As far as the note goes: 1) At least comment on the first half of the plan I laid out. 2) Decide what you are going to do about that. 3) You can tell us you've come to a decision, but minimize the number of people who actually know what that decision is. This way if someone has a steal action there's less chance they can make use of it, and who knows we could get info other ways if someone slips and says something about it they realistically shouldn't know. On the vote: At this juncture, there just seem to be two options to me, though this does not mean those are the only two I'd suspect of being pro-Kira. 1) ChopBam, for reasons we've belabored, and 2) FRAYDO, for acting strangely.

Well you're certainly playing like you don't have a steal action, but it could be a ruse to get us to let our guard down. (And also I'm not saying other people couldn't possibly have a steal action) Are your powers basically just the ability to be grumpy in our general direction?

I'd be willing to bet you can tell if one is fake. I wouldn't want to risk one we're not sure of you just poofing with though. If I had one and knew 100% it was fake I might hand it off to you just as a troll though
