Am inclined to agree with Shade on this one. OrangeP47 and Killing_You are sus.
I know I posted this like a month ago, but it was a prophecy for yesterday.

I would prefer that Chopbam was here to lean in on this as I want him to lead the lynch. I honestly am having a hard time picking. I'm going to follow my plan and follow ChopBam.

I got back here 3 minutes before hammer and by the time I got caught up it was 3 minutes after hammer. I don't think anything that's been said would change my vote, however. An apparent tie (I say apparent because I don't know what GrimReaper does) may actually be nice.

This is why I picked ChopBam as my target. It was the only statement from him that stood out to me during D1, and it felt odd. There weren't that many posts overall, and the voting was not chaotic. There were only votes for Orange and NoLynch, nothing else. I felt the only reason why ChopBam would need a CVC was if he was partnered with Orange and was specifically concerned about the lynch because of it. I decided to go for the 2-for-1 deal it would represent if ChopBam returned a Guilty verdict, but it was not to be. I probably should have gone after my primary target, but perhaps it is better that I didn't?
I suspect I have ADHD so that would explain why my mind would get distracted by "needing" a CVC when we don't have one or absolutely need one yet.
It's a good thread of thought to follow though, regardless of what I mentioned above. If Orange really is scum, then I'd be a good candidate to be his partner because my thing with the CVC was the only thing to jump out of the woodwork in terms of "saving" him. Retaliation would not be his partner in this case, so in my book if one flips bad, the other is cleared. Same with Orange and Cat5, I feel.
I feel like even if Orange flips town, we can learn more about the remaining players' alignments than we would if Retaliation flipped town. And if either flips scum, well, we have a winner.
I have my eyes on KY also for being very willing to be so led. If he is a scumdude, he's only following thus far because he trusts that his partner is not in our sights today (I.e. another person not scum aligned with Orange).
If it turns out Orange is our guy, iLikeToFRAYDO could be a good scum team candidate (could be that regardless due to inactivity).
Shade might also be a good candidate to team with Orange, voting for him yesterday to fit in with the joke stuff but not expecting it to actually go through. Shade's logic has been unusually on 👉 today.
Unlike Cat5 I also have no problem listing out players and what I think of them, which isn't what I set out to do, but sorta is what this post turned into. It can be very helpful later on when someone flips to see in hindsight how they read everyone else.

So I basically have the power to start a bandwagon today, and Killing You's portion of that bandwagon is going to be right before hammer....

Of these three, I'm most suspicious of Retaliation. I'll be back in after work (and before hammer, I'm pretty sure), so I'll withold my vote until then, and let Chop take the lead.
So you agree 1 for 1 with Cat5 about 1) revealing ourselves, 2) Retaliation's sus vibes, and 3) that I should lead the vote?

It takes a while to sort 30 quote boxes and leave comments on them while heaving this uncorked bottle into the gallery. I plead your forgiveness.
Tentatively granted. Hitting the hay now while you take the night shift sorting the bales.

I am overjoyed that you know I am Not Guilty, but I hope you will forgive me for not quite following your epistemic methods. As a natural skeptic I am inclined to understand my interlocutors' positions, so it brings me to inquire whether you performed some kind of night action that renders me thusly clean, in your book?

So you choose... random chance?

The new Soviet base on that map makes me very happy.
After having played it internally for a while, it's hard to play public RidgeWar.

You only show and mention Yaks, but I assume MiGs would be available on the new RidgeWar too?
Yep!

Welcome to the 12th edition of W3D weekly! Let's get straight to it!
Red Alert: A Path Beyond
The level RA_RidgeWar has been revamped a bit by @ ChopBam . Most notably, the Soviet base elevation has increased by about 20 meters, and an Airfield has been added. A number of other terrain changes on the Soviet side of the map, but screenshots will speak louder! (Yes, you can fly a Yak through the donut hole in that one ridge)
Ground Zero
All has been quiet on the western front on Ground Zero, but that doesn't mean work hasn't been happening! Recently, @ Ice started early work on the Repair Facility. Available to both teams, this structure will allow players to repair and resupply their vehicles in the comfort of their own base.
As you can see, there are two different possible styles, based on differing sources from the base game. Currently, we're looking at giving the style on the left to GDI and the one on the right to Nod as a way to add visual flair to each side.
That's it for this week!Come back next time for some more kickass W3D content!

Would there be a way to make the green dashes show up sooner than the red ones do? While looking at the yak footage, it seems it might be easy to lose where the world border is.
@ Mojoman Yes; the red and green borders use different textures. And since the fading distance is decided inside the texture file with mip maps, it's possible.

Part of what I'm doing here is just laying pressure on him. There doesn't need to be a reason for it, he just needs to be at risk. I'm measuring how he responds to that pressure. He thinks he always responds the same way regardless of alignment, but I don't think he does. Presently I'm waiting to see what else he says. There's a couple things I'm expecting to be brought up, but I don't want to bring them up for him.
Orange is always at risk. I'm sure he feels the pressure of how many people targeted him last night.
My personal sus is iLTS, but it typically is and I'd need to see more from him before going any further along that route. If you ask why--for now it's a combination of biased metathink and the fact that nobody else stands out to me at the moment.

I'm also trying to determine which reason(s) were the primary causes for Jeod being the NK. There are a couple angles I could see being at work there, and which ones I think are more likely change my outlook on who should be looked at.
Potential reasons my head came up with, for why they might have chosen Jeod for the nightkill:
- Picking somebody who's out of the spotlight Day 1, i.e. unlikely watch target and thus less likely to be caught in the act.
- Nobody else is a good target for whatever reason.
- Random dice roll.
- Grudge against mafia-obsessed Jeod to remove him from play right at the start after an eternity of no forum games.
My guess is D--all of the above.

I think we're at the point where we wait and see what anyone else has to report...
Last night was nothing of use at least YET.
I am very interested in what I observe here to be essentially a tunneling situation with Orange. I'm not really getting the same scummy vibes that @ Category 5 Hurricane is getting off him. Maybe it's been a while since we've played and thus my scumdar is off. Can you elaborate more?
As far as I can see, we haven't really touched on figuring out our likely scum setup. Since we have 8 players, would it be fair to assume there are no more than two scum, be that two mafia players on a team, or one mafia player and one third party? Three scum would be far too much with the game ending too quickly, and I am personally hesitant to guess that there'd be only one, unless he/she/they are very superpowered. If it's a two-man situation, and it likely is, this would leave us with 5 remaining town at most.
What I'm getting at with this are the math and philosophy of deciding what we do today. If we mislynch and there's another kill tonight, we're potentially left at a 2-3 situation, which may technically be safe depending on roles, but is likely very much not. It's one big reason I want to figure out this Orange situation and soon.

Can someone frame this? It's INCREDIBLY rare for Shade to have a post with completely solid reasoning.
At first I thought iLTS posted it, which is saying something. +1
D1 is kind of a bust most games. Here's to getting some info tonight. 🍻

I would like to help seal the

deal.
Ahhh now I see Orange is getting more into his over-posting meta. I am feeling more comfortable with this now.

I think I just got home from work.
LYLO at 5 players means two scum remaining. This I am certain of. I'll take a hint from everyone else and also ignore the fact that a third party died in the night.
I'm convinced KY is town, and that he is not teamed up with Retaliation.
I had a weird feeling yesterday when you told KY after he made a list post that it's a general scum meta, and then a day later you made a list post, where Retaliation and Shade are excused from being teamed with KY due to tied vote, but then you only mentioned your confidence being shook in Shade being town if FRAYDO/KY aren't the scum team. Why not Retaliation also?
