Hey guys!

With the success of APB Madness in the forums, I noticed that a few other W3D Hubbers create YouTube content!

If you create YouTube content (Or stream for that matter), plug your channel in this thread and I'll put it in this first post so we can get a master list going!

Of course I must start with shameless self-promotion of my horrible, Windows Movie Maker, and generally bad gameplay!

I've got a channel as well. Occasionally I'll post highlight stuff from the W3D Games as well as some shitty acting stuff, but my most recent project is a Half Life LP. Check it out, it's good stuff!

Oh, and Mojo, you just got yourself a subscriber.

Anyone know of a good, free recording program that can record a whole match in good quality and not take up a huge amount of HDD space? Some of the best moments I see happen when I'm not recording with Bandicam and it drives me nuts, so I want to record all the time.

I use Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) as an all-purpose recording software. The tradeoff with OBS is that you need to play with the settings a lot if you want to have good quality recordings, and have a pretty good system to boot.

I also have a YT channel, too. It's primarily muh games channel, and other shenanigans.

I also have OBS and I love how it records, except a few issues I experience (hotkeyes don't work) but I don't like how it saves the recordings as flv files. They don't work when I try to use another program to open them and I'm unable to use Windows Movie Maker.

Edit: So I open the settings and I see these options: flv, mp4, mov, mkv, ts, and m3u8. Which of these is best?

Have you gone over your file output settings? You should have an option to set your recordings to output as mp4:

Then again, it's been ages since I used WMM, and I don't remember whether it can support mp4...

For anyone needing an ultimate guide to recording better footage. Features things like Fraps, Dxtory, Shadowplay... upsides, downsides, smaller video size and how to record teamspeak and in game audio separately and all that good stuff. Really helped me out.

  • 6 years later...

I was about to create a new thread when I found this one out. Good.

Hello everyone.

A few days ago I was recording some footage in Renegade and someone had the idea of publishing them on the forums.

I think it's the perfect thread for everyone to not just share their channels, but also show their gameplays, moments or favorite videos.

During the last weeks, I was gathering material for two special videos to celebrate Renegade's 22 years of existence.

Here's a single player celebration video, and an online-multiplayer celebration right below.
