Shade939
Meant Espeon, not Umbreon.
Retaliation
So if we take out mewtwo today, we'll likely have to fight articuno in the double battle. Nevermeltice with blizzard, ice beam, mudslap, and reflect.
Category 5 Hurricane
Cool.
Retaliation
Cooler than freezer mewtwo even. Mostly mentioning to see who thinks they have a good fight against it tomorrow.
Category 5 Hurricane
Blizzard, Ice Beam, Mudslap. That's basically the last month up here in Wisconsin.

I can't really do much against an Articuno with Reflect.
Category 5 Hurricane
I think I can take it.
Category 5 Hurricane
I can do 144 damage to it.
Category 5 Hurricane
Actually, no, I screwed up the modifier while changing the numbers. I'd still be in good shape as long as Blizzard doesn't hit every turn.
Retaliation
Have you seen towns luck this game?!
Category 5 Hurricane
It's been enough that I decided that accuracy lowering moves are a complete waste of time, yes.
Shade939
I'm assuming it's a safe bet that Articuno would die in the first turn if someone can hit it for 144 damage.
Retaliation
How would you describe your chances of killing mewtwo shade? 100%, houndoom vs (ideal), houndoom vs (reality)?
Category 5 Hurricane
Yeah, after I looked back at my roster and found that nobody else could even do more than 68 even if they were all Level 50 (with their current movesets anyway), I thought perhaps I fucked that up. And I did, unfortunately.
TheIrishman
So Cat5, if you train your pokemon after Lv 50 you can choose what move to learn. It looks like you can learn False Swipe which should allow you to Two-Shot MewTwo. It says it adjusts the Attack to leave only one HP left, so you'd just need to hit him with that and then another move.
Category 5 Hurricane
No, that's not how that works. It has a power of 40. It just guarantees you don't faint your target. At least I hope that is how that works.
TheIrishman
Ah nvm, googled it. Another version says it adjusts attack to only leave 1 HP if it would've otherwise fainted the target. The Gen 2 version is unclear :\
TheIrishman
Then your best bet would be to learn Leer or Swords Dance if you don't already know either as they'd allow you to do over half dmg.
Category 5 Hurricane
The 1HP strat is reserved for Level 1 Rattatas with Endeavor and Quick Attack, holding a Focus Sash.

Realistically I should be worse off because I don't have psychic immunity and a x2 damage boost from a type advantage on my attack stats. It's still winnable, but it comes down to what KY does mostly.
Shade939
Ideally I should win the battle though, and realistically I'm going to do some serious damage.
Shade939
Yeah, that stab bonus really does give you a higher damaging attack with Houndoom.
Retaliation
No I meant how likely is it for you to win compared to my fight with the hydro pump psyduck.

I'm definitely close to 100% than Houndroom vs. (ideal) then.

Category 5 Hurricane
@TheIrishman why did you keep Espeon as your primary when a Mewtwo is on the field?
