  1. Meanwhile, I ported Extreme Coop from C&C Renegade for Interim Apex, so it is now... Extreme Apex! I got much more craziness and dynamics than in regular multiplayer, LOL. Extreme Apex is the second funny thing after Jerad's cooperative missions. For example, that Nod MRLS with two missiles just perfectly killed me and my vehicle from very long distance. In addition, I failed few fights in a row against the same GDI Officer with chaingun as my Nod Officer. And yet again, AI vs AI battle proves that Interim Apex is a GOOD game to play. I will maybe showcase that little addon for Interim Apex later, still working on some things.

  3. So, I am trying to say, that W3D Hub as a community should also work more to expand their auditory, to show good games. Just like in that song from Tiberium Dawn OST, remember? "Reaching out to the other worlds!" Why not to bring back the golden age of Westwood Studios? 😃
  4. There is some sad statistics for you, gentlemen. My comrades from russian community mostly prefer to play C&C Kane's Wrath, C&C Generals, Red Alert 3 and Mental Omega, almost no one is playing TSR or APB, but when the conversation is about classic C&C Renegade or Interim Apex, few of them are ready to play or already playing the game. But only a few. The fact is the most of them is always up to see a completely new game from Electronic Arts or Petroglyph Games or any other company that should first be creative to recommend themselves to usual players and fans. Funny thing happened with C&C Rivals, people are still playing it, no matter how the trailer or gameplay itself looks like.
  5. He probably means MCV mode where you need to defend your own MCV and defend your base too, while attacking hostile MCV and buildings. When you are losing MCV, no matter how many buildings left, you lose the match. It is kind of forgotten gamemode introduced in C&C Renegade Sole Survivor: Even if it is not that Cat is talking about, then I would love to see this gamemode, I love escort tactics, it is intense.

Their proposal to make some music for the game sounded simple and unexpected in 2016. But I agreed with that proposal, and made a funny experiment while I was working on music for C&C-series and for my personal album Imaginery Frontiers, so I've tried to make something different from that. There was a detailed list of what needs to be done in terms of music, and I completed more than a half of it. I did not try even a demo of Red Virus, so I did not know how does it look like inside. But when I saw a video (which is under a spoiler)... well, I think it does fit it well)) And I still remember this comment: Fuexline the best on this game is the trailer music As community manager said, the graphics should be improved later. I am not an active gamer, so the concept of this game reminds me a bit of Chip's Challenge, but this game is way more different.
  8. Yes, I did set that timer. But not every 5 seconds, each timer is randomized, and its range of values depends on what does bot do.

  10. For explosives and beacons, see "GameObjManager.h" and search for "C4GameObjList" and "BeaconGameObjList". For buildings, it is "BuildingGameObjList" in the same file. These lists will be your answer. Every single object, even bullet class, has its own list of objects where does that object exist and also a manager to operate that list. Function "Disarm_All_C4_Beacons" is an example of how to program C4 and Beacon lists. See definition of "Disarm_All_C4_Beacons" in "engine_weap.cpp". For buildings, see definition of, for example, "Send_Custom_To_Team_Buildings" in "engine_obj.cpp". Buildings are aggregative objects. That means, they have few objects and effects inside one parent. To find position of Master Control Terminal, use "Find_MCT" as the following: Vector3 pos = Vector3(0,0,0); object->As_BuildingGameObj()->Find_MCT()->Get_Position(&pos); Some objects in certain cases cannot be properly repaired/disarmed, because their centre of mass may exist below the ground, or may be inside another object if they were attached to. In these cases, try to experiment with raycasting and "fire at location" instead of strict tactics "fire at object", and, if needed, adjust location along Z-axis. The position of centre of mass depends on what developer wanted to do with object.

  14. I believe in wonders. Nature (God) and people (servants) are able to make them. Santa (grandpa Moroz) is a God's incarnation. He helps people to make and deliver wonders around the entire world. And he can be in anyone of us. I am an elf. Some people can say that life is complicated, especially when you are an elf. The first model of dog for APB made by russian developer KatzSmile, as well as Yak plane and other models (including... chronosphere stationary device, maybe?), before Bluehell Productions became to be inactive. This is horosho! Da, for the Soviet Union, make it please!
  22. That early attack of Orca Fighters which we suggested, lol. I remember that. Certainly, one of good examples of team work)) I know something about, because he is UltraAOW developer, he made some 3D-models, and he suggested to do also few for Commando Assault. We were discussing it, but I came to a conclusion that he would love to see Tiberium Wars shooter instead of continuation of Renegade.
