  1. Thought that button was related to the news feed somehow, wasn't quite intuitive to me... Still nothing prevents the crash when an always.dat patch needs to be applied (it's 3.0.4.1, sorry)
  2. Here's a few suggestions I have for the launcher: Have an Update button for the individual games rather than having to attempt joining an existing server to update a game. Have an Uninstall button for the individual games, rather than having to remove them manually, which I feel dirty when doing Have an uninstaller for the W3D Hub Launcher itself (I thought it had one before?). Also, the last version of APB I had was 3.0.2.0, and yesterday I tried to update several times. It kept failing either at installing the always.dat itself (???) or an intermediary update (3.0.2.1 or such). The launcher would either say it failed or crash completely. Now I've Shift+Del'd the entire W3D Hub folder (because I couldn't find its uninstaller) and installed it again. I'm trying to install APB, and it's already found the files it downloaded before, but it fails to install always.patch.3.0.1.0.zip. What gives?
  3. There used to be Tiberium Crystal War... http://www.indiedb.com/games/tcw-w3d
  4. Lowering the graphics settings should do the trick.
  5. Let's try a different approach. Make a shortcut to the RA3 executable, and put the -ui parameter at the end of the Target entry to load the RA3 Control Panel (autorun for DVD versions). There, you will have the Game Browser option, which will list all (properly) installed mods and let you launch them. The shortcut should look like this: OR.... put the parameter MPRA2 gave you to the same location instead of -ui to launch the mod automatically each time you use that shortcut... -modconfig "C:\path\to\the\"modname_modversion".skudef"
  6. It was probably overwritten, then. Reapply them (make sure they're the latest version!) after this: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/deactivate-origin-in-game/
  7. There's your problem right there. TUC has botched registries and has no parameter support, which stretches to mod incompatibility. Disable Origin functionality for all TUC games (to prevent Origin overwriting the fix) and install these: http://bibber.eu/downloads/cnc-ultimate-collection-launchers/ The parameters should work now.
  8. Are you running the standalone Origin version or The Ultimate Collection?
  9. Good luck, the game never entered a stage players could access
  10. Must have been a different, possibly long-standing problem. Making such correlations is a bit pointless - once, my brother's desktop account was borked after the PC overheated playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance and had to be revived using System Restore. The same desktop, but with a different GFX card and Windows installation was left in a semi-standby mode with Skype online years later, but none of that was the problem - the motherboard and power were derpy since day one. You would not risk using a trusted community member's tool that simply works? As I said, the game's engine is shit. It doesn't matter if your computer is a $3 potato or a $1,000,000 beast, these slowdowns happen to many without warning or reason. We're also in a time where every single computer, even lower end ones, are more powerful than the recommended system requirements for C&C Generals. You mean TIBERIUM from 2008? None of them are official, so take them with a grain of salt
  11. I didn't play many games with distinct final bosses, so here's the Vohrsoth leader from Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (same as in the BHP forum month from a couple of years ago )
  12. Malwarebytes is the only one from the list that isn't shit. And I just scanned the TUC launchers with it, and nothing was found. Even if it did, there is something called a false positive, that naive computer n00bs don't know about.
  13. Let me guess. You have the first antivirus that came in the Google search. Bibber is a known C&C modder, he wouldn't put a virus in something like that, especially if that many people use it.
  14. The SAGE engine is not supposed to run on more than 30 FPS. Anything higher than that speeds the game up because EALA couldn't grasp that FPS =/= game speed. Doesn't quite matter in the case of Generals/Zero Hour, I think they're unchanged from the patched disc versions apart from the Origin integration and lack of parameter support (which you can fix by disabling Origin for all TUC games and applying Bibber's fixed launchers).
  15. Run the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3 and try limiting your FPS to 30 via GenTool, that's all I can advise. The game's engine is awful, and choppy gameplay is quite frequent in longer matches.
  16. Fellow wolf is a fellow birthday boy. Have a good one! :toot:
  17. If Relic confirms, and retarded DLC programs won't exist, then my pants are suddenly whitening.
  18. They must consider "shutting down" to mean what GameSpy thought it meant. which is: leave it unmanaged until it implodes.
