TeamWolf
There is a point where you got to forgo "realism" and do what makes sense gameplay wise. An ST or OT being flown in via Chinook be a good idea tbh.
moonsense715
Still, ideally they'd simply drive in from off-map Oh dear, boats on the horizon, better spam-purchase supply trucks, surely the cutscene LSTs will collide with them eventually... I would actually enjoy that
GeneralCamo
Might be a long shot, but perhaps you could reach out to Frank Klepacki to see if he still has the original high quality, non-remix versions? The one currently in-game is the non-remix. The one that was originally in TD and what was in-game (and will again be in-game) was the remix. TD's music originally was intended to feature a lot of voices like this. Most of them were cut and remixed, with the exception of No Mercy.
delta
If you upload the errors.log file from documents/w3d hub/launcher it should indicate what problem was causing it to fail to patch always.dat I was able to get it to work, but here's the error.log (I just copied the entries for 2/5 and 2/6) anyway. It mentioned a lot of "not enough disk space" and clearing up space was one of the things I did prior to it working. But speaking of disk space, is it possible that running the update multiple times would have resulted in the installer creating multiple unnecessary copies of the files? Because I seemed to notice that my disk space was steadily going down over the course of the day as I attempted the update multiple times.
danpaul88
The patching process for always.dat requires about 700mb of free disk space (after downloading the packages). It uses a temporary file to write the patched data into, that file is then moved into the game folder and the old copy of the file is deleted once the patch is successfully applied.
delta
That's odd, I did have a little over 1 GB of space.
