Plokite_Wolf
Comrades! 20 years ago, on 31 October 1996, Command & Conquer: Red Alert was released! What are your favourite memories from playing this game? I've also made a small commemorative post on GameReplays to help the nostalgia and memories flash
NodGuy
Obliterating Allied dogs with nuclear fire was always fun. Seeing Kane in the cutscenes was enjoyable too.
MPRA2
20 years of Red Alert? shit dude...... Time to spend 3 weeks trying to beat the Soviet+Allied Campaign on RA1........ >_> I've only beaten the GDI and NOD campaign in FS/C&C3, beat the KW Campaign, and the RA3 Campaigns.... nothing else.....
MechanicalThighs
My favorite RA memories were actually the skirmishes, though the campaign was a ton of fun. I just remember the AI being insane, throwing massive assault forces at you to wear you down. I rarely won, but that made the few victories I did have even more special.
Plokite_Wolf
Welp, got a bit carried away. After researching and talking to Tore from CnC-Comm, turns out that Wikipedia is wrong. The game went gold on 17 November and hit the shelves later that month. https://web.archive.org/web/19971009175538/http://www.westwood.com/games/redalert/news.html Still, it's always a good time to celebrate RA1.

FRAYDO
It's always a good time to celebrate RA1! If anyone's down for some CnCNet play, let's play some sometime.
delta
I never see anyone from W3DHub/BHP on CnCNet. Or at least, no one who goes by the same name they do here...

Plokite_Wolf
Man that Red Alert trailer! Some live action cutscenes I haven't seen beforeYeah. This trailer was originally on Westwood's FTP (and still is, depending on the day when it doesn't redirect to EA's old main FTP). Time to update Wikipedia then! Already did, actually.

Raap
In my mind I somehow read this as 20 years of APB. Sometimes it feels that long...
