That guilty read was from when I actually was neutral, so I honestly was telling the truth with that.

Interesting. Were you a non hostile TP or just neutral? Maybe your experiment gotten you this read.

I considered doing a TNG mafia once as GM, but it got put on the back burner with other projects.

A mafia game stationed on a starship would be great. Think of the possibilities. Alien, predator, borgs, necromorphs... maybe a CYOR with sci fi theme could work.

I don't remember the details now, but it was going to feature an "away team" mechanic, where each day 2-3 people would be selected to team up and their combined skills used to complete a task.

A SciFi CYOR could be pretty cool. I don't think I've seen genre CYORs outside of superheros.

Notice how near unkillable iLTS is alone.

I really doubt he is town atm, I mean he has more immunity than mine suppose "immortality - unique protection" passive (after a fashion it is revealed that at least 3 people can kill me or lynch me during day and if I'm unable to pass the Death Note I'll just die).

The Resistance: Avalon

You might be interested in the mechanics for this game. Could make a decent text chat or forum game.

I am 100% town, not lying.

Yea we had this in DS4, but that was rather a complex coop rpg mechanic.

In DS4 we also had minigames, so perhaps your away team mechanic could produce a minigame for the team each night.

The difficult part would be deciding on how to eliminate players from the game.

I might prefer the idea iLTS suggested, where you have a set number of quest you need to complete in total to reach an objective, and instead of eliminating players entirely they would be temporarily incapacitated so they couldn't go on the mission with their skills.

You'd probably want to assign a percentage based system then, like Tension, and Town is trying to get it to 0%.

In Dead Space series we switched to the health bar based system when you can heal, so in most cases you can just heal yourself or even revive. Dead players were then later reused to necromorph team or even secondary characters for end game (e.g in DS3).

You can have all sorts of elimination mechanics, depends how long you want the game to be.

Yea that was also something that was used in many games over at BHP, I think DS4 had the most side quest objectives due to being pure RPG.

That's a good idea how to monitor the quests system too.

Probably trying to figure out how he wants to make a GM ruling on how the game ends, Orange was probably overly confident in revealing he was Mafia today, and depending on how Irish decides abilities work either side could win.

I had a choice to make when I woke up, and he said how I chose would affect who won.  Don't know if I made the right choice, so I don't know who's going to win.

Assuming ChopBam dies to the notebook...

Irish must have taken one of my penalty votes off and made it a tie. Otherwise you'd succeed in lynching me.

But if he did that, you would have to either roleblock iLTS to prevent him from protecting, or roleblock Category 5 to prevent him from bringing someone back while also hoping you don't nightkill the same player iLTS chose to protect.

You can't kill either me or iLTS with the notebook, either. I'm not entirely sure how you would win. Hmm....

The choice I had to make was weather to block ilts (and thus block his self protect) or block cat 5, and block a resurrection.

I think.... there might be more going on I don't know about.

Well if you blocked iLTS, you have a guaranteed nightkill, but Category 5 brings back KY (I assume), and we're back to where we started.

If you blocked Category 5, it's the same deal unless you manage to WIFOM iLTS and get a nightkill. If you chose this route, then Irish must have asked iLTS for a night action as well. I don't believe either of you have NK protection, so whatever I do shouldn't matter.
