Not sure how many people here are/were fans of the Tribes series of games, but today Hi-rez released an update for Tribes: Ascend! Its been over 2 and a half years since an update and the game has undergone a major overhaul. On top of that, all the previous Tribes games are free now as well and you can download them here! Lots of really good (AND FREE) games here, just thought I would let everyone know!

Great idea! I had actually wanted to try this once the holiday months got out of the way. I don't believe anything super special happens in January that warrants a theme so how about we start with that? When everyone is finished discussing whatnot in this thread, post what you want to be on the ballot for next month! Towards the end of December, I'll make a ballot topic in the general discussion area.

Well then odds are you could get both that and the power supply moved over to the new system. Might not have to spend any money right now if you're just looking to get it able to play games. Just about any 1gb card will get you that. Though we could verify that with a model number and a google search!

Try to find a model number on a sticker or something if you don't mind...and does it have a graphics card in it already by chance?

If the old one is ATX then yes. Is the drive all thats wrong with your old PC? What model is it?

I had considered doing that but I don't really want to move far from here for a job right now, which is what would most likely have to happen. Unfortunately the jobs in my field are pretty slim here, which creates a slight problem lol. I'm also in that "hope my co-workers don't see this" category too. Thanks for the tips man! Its really amazing how cheap some video cards are nowadays versus the old days. And I mean price cheap not quality cheap That card Pyryle linked should work fine for that system and it also has a low budget in mind. That one or a similar one, as he mentioned, would not require upgrading the power supply. It really comes down to how much "umph" you want to add. Doing it versus doing it better...versus over-doing it. I tend to be a fan of massive cards with 2 GPUs and tons of ram myself but thats just me Let us know which route you want to go and we'll help you either way!
