November is almost here, and with a new month comes a new Avatar theme! This month's theme is vintage brand logos! ....and some extra stuff too! Well its time for everyone to kill the next few minutes (or hours for some) on a google image search and then optionally your favorite image editor! Thats right! A new avatar theme! This month, we'll do something slightly nontraditional here. Let me explain... The new avatar theme is Vintage Brand Logos. <-This link takes you to a google image search for just that. That's all fine and dandy....But that's not all! No sir (or madam)! This month we're encouraging everyone to screw up their signatures as well! The "sig theme" if you will, is Vintage Product Ads. Now then! The rules? Well there really aren't any... Choose a real logo or advertisement, or optionally, a fake one! We don't care! Personally I feel that the more outrageous it is, the better! Can't find what suits you? Make your own! We'd love to see it! Both of these settings can be edited through your profile settings page. Have fun! EDIT: And vintage posters too!!! Not necessarily an advertisement. Didn't make that clear earlier but meant to!

Believe me I've argued that point constantly, I keep being told we're not advertising until after the "next patch". We've had about 20 patches since then, but it's still waiting for the mythical "next patch". *shrug* I believe he intended to reply to this block rather.

No and I think so....Its still a closed-source program and since EA is in direct competition with Valve, not likely that EA will play nice. They would allow it on origin before Steam.

Alright then. Lets just all jump ingame this weekend as we have time! The thing that folks keep forgetting is that people are more likely to join if someone is already ingame. If nobody is ingame, the likelihood that one person will get in and play alone is low. Personally I think thats the problem. We check the server but we never actually join the server when we want to play. We assume we're the only ones game for a match and then we move on. That being said....at some point, the launcher will be updated to include a lobby of sorts that I hope will alleviate this problem. Until then though, we just gotta get in there and wait for a bit. As many people as i hear about just checking the server on a daily basis but never playing because the ingame count is low or at zero, there is no way that we're all checking at different times. There must be overlap somewhere. Thats when the good matches will happen. Take the plunge my friends. Remember: If nobody is ingame, its because you aren't ingame! Also, I'll probably join in about 8 hours when i get off work

I doubt that was intentional. Sometimes duplicates just happen As for the release date, it will be announced in advance I'm sure. There has been much anticipation, and there are no fewer than 3 or 4 threads asking the exact same question haha so I know there will be much excitement when it finally does happen. For the time being though, just hang tight. One Winged Angel, the creator of the RA2:AR project, stated a while back that there are some very necessary milestones that must be achieved before a version could be released to the public. There are things that he feels are not up to par and he wants them in a more polished state before the masses get a taste. He is trying to make it great from the get-go and I can promise you, it will be worth your patience! Thanks for the interest here man, and please hang around! These topics always attract attention from OWA (as we commonly abbreviate him) so he might chime in and share more insight at some point.

Pretty sure thats like that for everyone but I could be wrong. And as far a Screenshots, I think its just the PrntScrn key and I believe it outputs to the documents folder...maybe...correct me if i'm wrong!

@NodGuy My thoughts exactly. I really enjoy the effect that "destroyed" props and buildings add to a map. @Synesthesia I wish you godspeed in all your endeavors. I was really looking forward to this, but I can definitely relate to your "time budgeting" situation.

Yes erm....honestly i built this but we'll call it a "surround sound". I'm in IT at a motorhome manufacturing facility. I'm usually not around the loud stuff but occasionally we go in areas that require hearing protection.

(Though personally I'm often too busy to join) The server sees the most activity in the evening hours for EU and US time zones. You'll need the W3DHub launcher to join in.
