  1. Like Killing You, I grew up with C&C. RA1 was the second game that I ever played, after Wolfenstein 3D. It was so difficult as a child and I spent countless hours with Dad playing it and letting him teach me new strategies that he had figured out. The good ol' days. I remember my excitement when i learned that HOLY CRAP THERE'S A RED ALERT 2!?!? - when i saw the 5-in-1 big orange boxed package on a local store shelf. It was then that I learned that there were other games as well. I had never heard of tiberian sun or any of the others at that point. I had to have them! From that day onward, I was a true C&C fan. Here's to another 20 years of C&C! *raises glass to monitor* It looks like it's up to us the fans to keep it alive. Maybe EA will follow suit one day. Happy Birthday C&C
  2. Granted. You don't have a house with that garage and thus no place to sleep or prepare food. I wish the TV series "Outcasts" had not been cancelled a couple years ago
  3. Man I do remember those things! I can't seem to get my eyes to adjust on this one though. It's been a few years since I looked at one. I remember I had a really awesome one that had a 3D heart in it.
  4. Sounds like a challenge! Any takers?? : (video required)
  5. Granted. Jack links goes bankrupt and closes up shop tomorrow. I wish I could send all my current knowledge and experiences of this world to a previous version of myself.
  6. Related idea for topic split: Anyone want to start a topic where we share actual footage of our battles in the various RTS games? I currently don't have any recorded but I think it would be interesting for us to share those as well as our written strategies/ideas.
  7. Oh there's so much, where do I begin! : The music of C&C was always one thing that made the games special to me. And many of the covers and remixes do them justice. Reminder to self to post here later.
  8. 12 up. Not bad in contrast to 25 down
  9. Plus, you can use them to conduct electricity if you don't have a long enough extension cord! Sounds you have brought ECW to life in your living room :
  10. GR or Ghost Reactive is AZ-Stalker's place -> here
  11. The thing I enjoyed most about RA2 was that once you meet the victory conditions in the campaign , the AI would sell all of it's structures and send every unit it has in one final massive charge . This would happen sometimes in the original RA as well. I always found it amusing
  12. I think Tiberian Sun always worked with windows 7 IIRC. I haven't checked out those links, but I believe thats the slim online version for cncnet, with a patch for windows 8 and 10. But download it and try it out anyway! Worst thing that could happen is that it just doesn't work
  13. Awesome! I always heard about the old one but never got around to playing it (too much C&C ) but I'll give it a try and look forward to the new release!
  14. Meal trays are definitely handy in the living room. Games -> food -> more games -> more food -> repeat
  15. Thats right! Corrupt a wish is starting over! Why? Well for one, the first one was getting a bit long. For some of us, the more pages a thread has, the slower it tends to be. So we'll retire that one for another! Also, I'd like to change the rules a bit. Basically I'm just adding a win condition. In the original thread, I convinced someone to grant my wish but not corrupt it. I must admit that it was a complete accident. After noticing this, I jokingly posted that I'd won. This gave me the idea to just start over, but with a win condition included. So! Same rules as before, as Generalcamo stated. Only difference is that if someone grants your wish but DOESN'T corrupt it, YOU WIN! No there are no prizes, only bragging rights. Lets begin! The seed wish.... I wish the power had not been off all night at the plant where I work.
  16. I declare this thread revived. So anyways I made this username for here and I used it for almost everything since then. It is a pun off of my real name Isaac S. Maddox (I am not telling you my middle name) and my usual play style (which is act crazy ,don't judge it works quite well sometimes). I win Corrupt-a-wish. :
  17. Granted! But it requires effort on your part : I wish you'd tell us all about it! (because i don't get it, and I'm sure I'm not the only one) We actually have a thread for that here: Explain your nickname I give you permission to necro it Maybe then some of the new users will see it as well.
  18. You get used to it. I promise. Granted. Days are now 72 hours long. Make those 4 hours count! I wish windows server 2016 was released.
  19. More or less, yeah... Different opponents and matchups require different ideas. As has been said, everything depends on several variables (the matchup, map, side, etc.). I never really got much into strategizing, as far as what different ones are called, working it out in advance in my head, and so on. I mostly just assess the match and try to adapt on the fly. Sometimes it works great, sometimes not. I have used at some point or another, all the strategies mentioned here. I think the million different ways to win or lose is what makes this genre fun.
  20. Absolutely. Actually, it can be had with an expensive adapter, but it would be a nice factory feature for sure.
  21. I was totally joking about the clones, I should have made that clear. I assumed my Ursula meme would give it away lol.
