This reminds me of Mel Gibson buying all those copies of that book in the movie Conspiracy Theory.

It takes some doing but it is possible (I also laboured for a while with it, only to feel that i should have waited lol). I had to add full permission to the executable to "everyone", run in compatibility mode for XP-sp2 (some other mode may also work, I took the default), run as administrator, and also patch it to 1.006 before it would kinda work. The only things it does wrong now is the loading screen music is all messed up and it gets hung occasionally when trying to load a map while a map is already loaded (it either takes 15 mins to load or the game encounters a "fatal error"). Other than that, it works perfect. For 16:9 ratio monitors, I recommend 1280x800 resolution. It seems comfortable enough. (I realize that this is a 16:10 resolution but it stretches and works out fine. 1280x768 is also available)

A while back, we had a discussion on who all did or did not enjoy their job (Do you enjoy your job?). This got me to thinking, it wouldn't be bad to have just a general thread for everyone to tell what it is they do every day. I'll go first! I am currently employed at Tiffin Motorhomes in Red Bay, Alabama (United States). We build and service motorhomes and sell them all across the U.S. and Canada, and even in China and Austrailia. My job is "PC Specialist". If any of the employees have an issue that is hardware or Windows related, they call the helpdesk and I either fix the problem, or I escalate the task if it is an issue that involves special software or otherwise is something that I am not responsible for. I am also responsible for creating the Windows deployment images and applying them to all the new or repurposed PCs. If someone gets a new PC, I prepare and install it and then take the old one back and determine if it can be re-used in any capacity, and then fix and deploy it as well. Someone dropped their laptop and broke the screen? I fix that as well. Basically, I'm the one who jumps when anyone says "hey computer boy" Overall I enjoy my job. It is very close to what I had in mind for a long-term career working for "the man". My biggest complaint is that it is 30 minutes from home and also in another state (I live in Mississippi). And....I also own a very small side business. "Ben's Computer Repair" tenatively because I haven't had time to put much thought into a name (or get a business license either). Bascially I fix everything. I build gaming PCs, business PCs, do all types of repair, upgrades, cabling jobs for businesses, etc. I originally started this as a hobby. Over a couple years, it grew to be my support for going to school. At this point, it serves as a way to build savings, as I also have a full-time job making sure motorhomes get built. Thats me! I don't even have headphones lol. Just some very uncomfortable $10 earbuds. I want something comfy and I would be willing to spend (i guess) around $100 on something that will be comfy and last a long time and work well. I don't want whistles and bells, and I prefer wired (wireless headsets give off ridiculous interference) so hopefully that narrows it down a bit.

Ok, so anyone that has been on teamspeak with me knows that I don't have a headset, or more importantly, a microphone.... I have decided that it is time to purchase a headset to use for gaming and chatting. I have looked at a few but I really don't know whats good and what isn't so I'd like to hear others' opinions and personal experiences with different brands and models. If you like what you have or know of a good one, post it and some info/opinions on it here. Know of a really horrible one? Post it here too so we know to avoid it! Thanks!

Granted but M$ decides to make a mess of things and demands royalties for all Linux distros that use any of their copyrighted code (which is a very surprising amount). I wish M$ did not own any Linux code.

A one-legged Voe has saved himself (since you all forgot about him! ) and from the water, he spots AndrewGOLD on the shore attempting his border crossing. In an attempt to re-balance the universe and rectify our story, he wrangles a couple sharks and rides them water-ski style onto the shore where he allows them to feast on the attacking FBI agents. Voe then joins forces with Andrew and they hobble across the border together. I am now a prisoner aboard GC's destroyer because Hydra has emerged. Halp.

Same reason here! I like the "lost files" videos. They are perfectly integrated in this one and even compressed I believe. Normally they cause some issues....Also the ant missions are bug free as well! Lots of versions of RA have a bug that prevents you from loading the 2nd or 3rd (can't remember) ant map.
