Heh this guy I'd love to see it ingame personally. And making it a multi-man vehicle is one of the better ideas i've heard so far. But we still need someone to model the thing.....Until this, can't even show it in the distance on seamist.

Right then. Looks like this is concluded. Thanks to all those who participated in the event and especially those that submitted screenshots!

I actually agree with Sarah's Chronotank idea somewhat. The only thing I might add to that is maybe nerf the phase against heavy armored vehicles to encourage the use of the chronotank. Currently, phases are the stealth EVERYTHING counter. They can severely damage/annoy a mammoth and can easily destroy just about anything else if you use the terrain to your advantage and get a jump on your target. When the mammoths are out (assuming the match isn't one-sided yet) is usually when the phases come out. By making the phase considerably less effective against them, you give a place to another unit (chrono). And yes, I realize that they already have more vehicles. But thats who they are really. The soviets use a slow driving force of good-against-all-of-it units while the allies use a quicker set of tactics and an array of rather specified units. Not saying that this should or even could happen...but if it did, this might be something to consider. tl;dr I mostly agree with what sarah said.

care to post some screenshots? Your launcher and the message?

Hello and welcome to W3D Hub! Sorry you're experiencing some issues. By chance, did you forget to set a nickname in the launcher? I think that can cause an issue like this. We'll do what we can to get you ingame! Check that you've set a nickname and then post back here and we'll go from there!

APB is having a Screenshot Contest! Click here for details! Hello Everyone! This weekend, we've got a 3-in-1 special event that we hope you'll all enjoy! Long-time community member and former BHP staff member Raap has been working furiously toward getting his new rendition of his APB .9935 Hostile Waters map ready for use in the public server. Since it is almost ready he feels, he has decided to let the public get a weekend sneak preview of it! Here's a couple development screenshots if you haven't seen them already. Looks great right? It is, I promise. This event will serve a triple purpose. First off, you all get to play Hostile Waters! Secondly, Raap is asking for feedback from the public. After playing, what are your thoughts? Found a bug? Anything of that sort, we ask that you please post it here so that the final version of the map will have all that ironed out already. But wait, there's more! The Allied Ion Destroyer is making a glorious return!!! Kidding Ok, I'm sure you've all noticed the nice loading screens that APB Delta has right? The ones that have awesome screenshots of each map? Yeah those. Well Raap needs one of those loading screens! And he has decided to let you all, the players, get that golden shot for him! So for the third item.... We're having a Screenshot Contest! Here are the rules: Only screenshots taken on Hostile Waters during a live gameplay match will qualify. The screenshot must contain naval gameplay in one form or another. Note that when taking screenshots from a submerged submarine, the image must show a lot of clear content, to compensate for the dark screen. Screenshot must be made with the HUD disabled. (to do this, press F8 and type "hud" to toggle the HUD) Screenshot must be taken with the game on maximum graphical settings. Screenshot must be in PNG quality and unedited, and uploaded at a host that does not reduce quality (imgur.com suffices). Screenshot must be in the highest resolution you can manage. Note that the actual image used in the loading screen is 1024px wide and 352px tall, but the screenshot must be larger than that. A single player can submit as many screenshots as he or she likes. Submit the screenshots in this thread. If your screenshot(s) shows up as a preview or full-size image, put them in spoiler tags please! So we don't bog this thing down so slow it can't be opened! (if you can't figure it out or forget then we'll help you out) The winner is required to have a PayPal account. ...wait...What?!? As extra incentive, Raap has decided to sweeten the deal! The winner of the contest will receive €25 via PayPal! (thats euro-dollars for you Americans, a little more than $25 USD) I have a feeling we'll have some pretty good submissions! If you have any questions, feel free to post them below! Have fun guys!

Hey guys! For those of you who have been living under a rock not noticed, our friend Raap has been trying his best to finish up a new rendition of a map he made way back in the APB .9935 days - Hostile Waters. While many of the staff and testing team have had a great time thus far playtesting the map, nothing compares to the feedback that can be gained from a public test. Therefore, it has been temporarily added to the regular rotation! If you haven't played it yet, jump on the official server and have at it! When you're done, come back here and share your thoughts. The map is nearing completion and Raap says he's in the final stages of cleaning and prettying it up. If you see something that is really bad out of whack or if you find a bug, tell us about it here. Otherwise, if you have some positive comments, those are more than welcome too. Our developers and in this case, fan mappers, need all the encouragement they can get! Thanks!

"Server browser" tab on launcher coming up blank
Einstein replied to delta's topic in Help & Support
My initial thought was perms because I assume it requires something to actually write to the log. On the other hand, if it doesn't see a problem, it wouldn't log anything anyway.... Another user had a similar issue yesterday which was solved by manually re-allowing game.exe and the launcher.exe in their firewall. Might work here too. -
APB 3.0.2.1 Changelog: Zama Update

Thats ok. He's a tester. If he'd been to any of the recent testing sessions then he'd know all about Hostile Waters.... -

Sounds like isn't able to run with the perms it needs possibly. Reinstall the launcher? Could also be a firewall issue, make sure that its allowed. -

This has gone far enough and then some. @testament concerning your first video, suicide is not a joke and should not be portrayed in such a manner as this where it is taken so lightly. Other inappropriate stuff in there as well. @everyone who thinks this is ok, go to reddit if you want to post stuff like this. This thread is now closed. EDIT: Offensive video removed. -

Before anyone jumps in here and yells (or otherwise states) that HOLY CRAP IDIOT YOU SHOULD NEVER OVERCLACK YOULL BURN THE WORLD!!!11!ELEVEN, please realize that he did ask advice on how to safely do it, meaning that he's going to. Just thought I'd throw that in first since most threads like this have at least one naysayer that gets pissed off because someone else is OC'ing. It'll be ok. /shortrant The first thing I would do is google your particular CPU and see what others have achieved, and read what all they went through to do it. Lots of Asus boards like yours (the sabertooth is pretty high end) allow for "safe" overclocking, in a sort of "stepped" manner. In other words, sometimes it just knows right away when you open the OC utility that X speed is safe and gives you an option to do it. This is safer than manually editing values. In the case of my old machine, it ran 3.2 out of the box, and had a "safe step" that the board detected as 3.7. I hit go and it rebooted and said the changes had applied successfully. It also said that 3.9 might be possible. Tried it and it failed. Reverted to 3.7 and ran it for 3 years like that before I sold it last year to a guy who is still running it at 3.7 with no problems (AMD Phenom X6 1090T on a Asus Crosshair IV btw). If yours has anything like that available then thats the way I would do it. If you want more and want to get into manually OC'ing....just be very careful and read as much as you can about your particular chip AND the combination of it with your board and boards with the same chipset as yours.

Turns out that I didn't lose all the maps. I found enough of them to answer my own question What was the map with the slow blowing flame throwers? Dark Hole! Screenshots to come!
-
I agree wholeheartedly with this. I would suggest in addition to this though, that "shipping costs" be added as well. More incentive to keep the thing alive in the first place.
-
Granted! No financial aid! I wish for more bandwidth.
