Not really, one of the least important parts of this game is what character you are in most circumstances since you decide your characters abilities.

Certain characters are oriented towards certain roles more than others, but even then that still leaves a good three to seven possible roles variations they could be that could still fall underneath that characters unique skill sets.

Just think about how easily a character like Black Widow could be a Tracker, Watcher, Vigilante, Cop, Role Blocker or Bodyguard.
