  1. Oh, make sure you're clicking on the logo on the new window that pops up.
  2. Ok..... time for dirty little secrets about Asterisk Do something for me. Open the "help" menu and click "about". Then click the logo. A hidden menu will appear which will be labeled "test menu". Click the option which reads "toggle debug mode". Then with your current settings, click "connect" again and show me what it displays please
  3. @xCommanderJackx This was getting off topic so I split our discussion to here: https://w3dhub.com/forum/topic/416553-imperial-age-question-split-from-ia-preview-thread/
  4. Using game.exe or game2.exe should do that, as game.exe is the original renegade program and game2 is a TT-team modified version of the same thing I believe. Post another screenshot with the correct path and let me see if I can notice anything else.
  5. Yeah, you want to bypass origin for sure because the origin launcher won't understand the launch commands that renlist and my program use to connect it to a server.
  6. Can you launch renegade at all? Like does it run in single player? It almost sounds like you have a game issue if neither renlist nor my program will work with it.
  7. You have it pointed to RenegadeLauncher.exe Try game.exe or game2.exe
  8. Did you fill in the other blanks? It needs to know your nickname and where your game is. It should not allow you to try to connect until all of that is filled in.
  9. Santa's mammoth tank sleigh
  10. Thats not an easy thing to do at all unfortunately. The models are 100% different, so if they did happen to load up at all without majorly crashing, there would be lots and lots of weird stretching on everything and it would look quite terrible. Unless I misunderstand what you're asking, the only way to achieve this would be to either re-skin everything to be themed the way you want (which isn't terribly difficult) or to import the models+textures, for which you would need to be given creator permission because you're using assets outside their original intended scope at that point. Hope that helps answer your question!
  11. Hey @xCommanderJackx you might try this tool as well: Its a little something I've been working on for a while. It does have some bugs and it doesn't work perfectly, but it should be able to do what you're needing if you can't get renlist to work. When complete, it will also list the servers as renlist does. My aim is for it to be a simpler alternative to renlist. All you will need is the server IP and port number for the IA server, and some other basic info which you will know, and it should work! Let me know how it turns out and if you need any help!
  12. It is yes, as it still runs on the 4.x scripts branch, as well as some other factors that make it less demanding. And while this version of the game itself technically still could run on windows XP (I think), you will need at least windows 7 service pack 1 for the launcher to run and be able to install it.
  13. I think he's just pointing out that the problem can be googled. While it is a terrible idea to download random dll files, as most sites that offer such things indeed do serve viruses freely, I had at one point a couple of years ago found a place that did offer legitimate files (compared by hash myself) but I can't remember the name... If I remember then I'll post back. It was primarily for windows system files. I used the service a few times while in the process of doing manual clean-up on a previously infected machine.
  14. Hello there and welcome to W3D-Hub! You would be better off running windows 7 64-bit with service pack 1 installed. Vista would be a bad move for many reasons (and I think the minimum requirements have now changed to win7 sp1 as well). However, if you are that far behind (sorry to word it like that, but you are on XP) I might recommend also checking your system to be sure that you can even run windows 7. Many XP-era machines can do it, but you need to be sure. Furthermore, it may be the best route to just go ahead and get windows 10, since the cost would be the same (assuming your PC is up for it). Feel free to post your system specs here and we'll have a look!
  15. Just thinking out loud here.... I wonder how Siege would play if the playable area were shrunk down or reshaped around the outer bits, and the bases as well, to the point where it was just a basic low-tech base. Something to put more of a focus on infantry. You could even have a HT and a LT version of the map, like at least one map in the past was done. I think it would be neat to have nothing but a barracks+silos OR barracks+ref+single silo, and maybe a few defenses for each side. Helipads maaaaybe? A player-driven ore truck like on CamosCrossing? A one-time spawn vehicle or two for each side plus a supply truck or two that spawn around the map like other maps? The absence of vehicles could be used to shift focus more to whatever secondary objectives or easter eggs that might lie in side the castle. The objectives could be time sensitive, or something akin to Seamist. Again, just thinking out loud. I know it was meant to be a meat grinder for vehicles, but I think it could have some other cool possibilities too.
  16. Actually I took it to be a fancy way of saying "we like your maps boy". I for one share the enjoyment of your unique maps, and I'm sure that Raptor and I aren't the only ones, judging by some polls and some other things I've heard. Fond memories of slow-moving fireballs on tiny walkways out in a void.....that was you right? But if you want to be down about it then I guess thats your choice Again, welcome back. We don't expect you to come in guns blazing with all sorts of awesome new content, so like AZ said no pressure. But we will for sure enjoy anything that happens to pop out!
  17. You think this is how we will remember you when you die don't you? Lighten up dude Good to see you back! Hope things are doing well in your world. Hit me on steam or something!
  18. Hey @dblaney1 @Kaskins @Jerad2142 @jonwil one of you could probably answer this real quick. (I have no idea dude, sorry)
  19. Welcome forum game junkies! Here's another quick fun touch-and-go game! (Great for me since I usually don't have time for more in-depth things such as Mafia.) This game works similarly to Corrupt A Wish, but somewhat backwards. How does that work? Well its simple! Someone posts a description of a situation in which they are in peril and will most certainly lose their life if there is no intervention. The next poster must then engineer a creative way (McGyver, Superheroes, The A-Team, whatever floats your boat) in which the previous poster will be saved from their peril, but then they (either by the events leading to the salvation of the previous poster, or by a non-related event) also end up in an equally perilous predicament. Return to step 2. The rules are these: Remain civil and follow all forum rules at all times. Some discussion is allowed, but do not derail this thread. Do not attempt to break the game. (not sure how you would anyway) Have fun. I'll begin: While on a deep-sea drug deal fishing expedition, my glorious Soviet Flak bote is caught in a terribad Mother-Russian hurricane. Halp!
  20. Meanwhile in the staff chat.... #shamelessDoublePost
  21. That means I get out when the sign-up is over right? Since we're already playing mafia here Funny Voe
