  1. I'm not a Rounder with anyone, so I'm hesitant to pursue action that flows from that theory.
  2. My take on whom to lynch today: Everyone seems pretty neutral to me so either a random lynch or inactive/lack-of-interest lynch may be the best course. I know I haven't been around too much but I photograph weddings on weekends and can't really be looking at mafia threads during those times. Nodlied clearly dislikes the anime setting and is probably not as interested in the game. I'd be hesitant to push on him because he's in an FGL, but 1) joining the FGL wasn't by choice 2) it took a while for the FGL information to come out I am aware this is hardly a case at all, but let's trim those who clearly don't have much stake in the setting. ##vote Nodlied Doing it now also because I won't be around most of the day again. It wasn't clear to me whether we all get some sort of night action tonight or just those with special upas. If we all get a night action, I'd be up for trying a backup recruit to #4 in case Irishman's recruiting is a failure.
  3. Amendment: Today is the only day where flip results will be *fully* RNG-based.
  4. I'm doing my best to be up-to-date here although I'll be quite busy with work today and tomorrow. Today is the only day where flip results will be RNG based. After today, it will be upa-based. Thus I find it more likely for Nodlied to be org today than any other day, as he usually wants to be town and will probably utilize his upa to move toward such a goal.
  5. AC 100% OC 18% Both night and day. Misa, are you in a mason doc with anybody?
  6. Snipers are fine as-is. They take skill to use. Any vehicle or infantry up close is a threat to them. They are unable to repair the base, defend against vehicle rushes, or join rushes, all of which are extremely valuable roles. They can be heard from a mile away. Their shots go wild if they bunnyhop. Radar sneaking is a thing. Tons of map cover is a thing. Use them.
  7. I'm not too keen on introducing myself just yet, but be assured that I am 100% town right now. Is anybody in a mason at this time?
  8. Haha thanks. <3 The thumbnail/screen at the end of the 3 techies was a legit screenshot I took today on Under when the Soviets were continually destroying our Ore Trucks. I couldn't resist pulling out the ol' Prnt Scrn when I saw these 3 AIs lined up.
  9. I noticed the stealth texture is overlaid onto the shader. This wasn't the case last time and I think it takes away from the niceness of the shader by itself. Can that be done again?
  10. I at least replaced the Nod insignia on his shoulder with the original C&C one. Yak shenanigans video from today. My favorite moment was probably the C4'd Yak at the very end, but the midair collisions come close.
  11. Without alpha, export as DXT1 with mips. With alpha, export as DXT5 with mips. Keep in mind that our .dds files have pretty poor quality upon export, so minimize opening and re-exporting in order to avoid progressive degradation, which happens more quickly with .dds than with .jpg, from what I hear. @saberhawk can tell you more.
  12. Rigorous testing isn't quite as important now because of patch release frequency and the consistent manner in which patches are released. Back in the day we had to rely on Pointlessambler's consistency (which was pretty shoddy tbh) and packaged EXEs downloaded manually from the website. If you can manage downsizing, I really recommend it. Louisa has become much more low maintenance since the wedding and we're just trying to keep essentials and dumping or selling everything else.
  13. Nice thread. Venom, why moving so much? Is it due to ICE's job, or..? Since mid January, I live in a trailer with my wife because of extremely high cost of rent here in the SF Bay Area. We've gotten comfortable in such close living quarters. While I had some weeks of relief from wedding work, and could thus focus on APB and TSR a bit, work is now becoming extremely busy again, making my weekends full, and about as much photography editing work to do during the week. Home internet consists of tethering my desktop computer to my phone, and internet is still mostly usable. Would have been unheard of 10 years ago, or even 5 (if considering a replacement for broadband). I am also glad to see such good work being done on APB. We really have pushwall to thank for that, and thanks to the phenomenal work danpaul has done on the launcher, the patch release schedule is unprecedented in comparison to APB's entire history, bringing activity and players en masse. At W3D Hub we are also experiencing less drama than ever before in the W3D modding community. Things are looking bright!
  14. "Attack the Silo" is kind of useful as a dual command between the Ore Silo and the Missile Silo. Of course, if it's rolled into "Attack the Eco" then it'll free up the current Silo slot to then perhaps be "Attack the Missile Silo"? Maybe also keep "Attack the Power Plant" as Ctrl Alt 5 and "Eco" as 4 to "keep them recognisable" as you say. But then again it looks like for organization's sake the factories are the first part and the other structures are in the last part of the list. I guess it comes down to a balance between recognizability and organization.
  15. Going to miss "Attack the Ore Truck," as that becomes useful on money-clincher maps like River Raid and Camos Canyon, and really any time after the War Factory has been destroyed but the OT is still alive. I get it that you want to just keep all the attack commands in the ctrl+alt slots, but as I said in Slack they're among the most useful commands in rush situations when you don't want to slow down to type.
  16. When I'm on the obvious losing side, I try not to RQ. I've done it before, but only in cases where I felt I couldn't have any fun at all by staying. That's an important point: staying ingame needs to be able to be fun. If my base is clearly dying and my team is clearly struggling or just plain bad, and using my player slot for defense isn't helping at all, I'll go on a personal romp to the enemy base to see if I can do any damage. After all, if most of the enemy team is in or on the way to my base, I could be helping out my team by actually attacking. This could distract some of their players or actually even do major damage to their war efforts. It's worth a shot and many times beats just sitting in the base getting killwhored. Love shotties for this reason. They're the perfect cheap assault infantry and don't even require a Barracks to purchase.
  17. Oh oh, haha no he's fine. The joke was that he's always been in space and is just constantly moving further away from earth. Remember he started on the moon, then was on Mars, last year on Pluto. Now moving beyond. That's all I meant. His heart is still pumping and in fact I'm sure he'll be visiting the forums sometime soon because I messaged him.
