  2. I figured this would be the place to share some moddels. Brief history Around December 2010, I started a project to make an Xcom Ufo Defense mod for renegade. I made a lot of models but after a while I lost interest. So here I am four years later cleaning out hard drive space and I came across my old forgotten project. Instead of deleting it, I figured I should upload and release the raw material in-case someone wanted to pick up where I left off. The file The file is 100MB download 226MB once unzipped some of the models are more finished than others. Weapons were not finished at all Details -Aliens cyberdisc, reaper, sectopod, silacoid, celatid, chryssalid, Ethereal, Floater, Muton, Sectoid, and Snakeman -Humans Four human models each in different armors (regular green, alien alloy, and power suit), also cannon, missile, plasma tanks. - Buildings only Conscept art -Sounds All xcom sounds

  4. Since launching the community we have been hearing several users voice their displeasure about how the user accounts, pms and forums from BHP have been retained. To rectify this, we have consequentially deleted all of the normal member accounts, deleted all of the old pm's associated with those accounts and also deleted the old forums archive (which date back to the pre-BHP days). The stats have been recounted, so that the post counts match up to the number of threads. If any users have any more concerns, please feel free to pm either myself, danpaul88, TeamWolf or WallyWood about it. [danpaul88 edit below] Your password safety IP.Board stores passwords in a hashed format using a salt to increase the entropy of the hash. In practice this means that it was effectively impossible for us to read your password from the data we had. This also applies to any new passwords. Regardless of that, we do strongly suggest people employ good password hygiene as a matter of course. This includes measures such as regularly changing your passwords, avoiding re-use of the same password across multiple places (especially anything sensitive such as bank accounts or email servers) and using a strong password which doesn't consist of common dictionary words or predictable sequences. Your private messages We have no interest in your private messages, these remained private for the duration and have been erased alongside your accounts.

  5. I attended Global Games Jam last weekend at my old University. It's an event where we were challenged to make a game within 48 hours. During the event the organisers called me up for an interview, so here it is! Also here is some footage from the game we managed to crank out (with a little help from TSR)!

Note the weapon placements will need reworked so clipping is a thing. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56066682/game%202015-01-27%2019-43-19-91.png https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56066682/game%202015-01-27%2019-43-32-31.png https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56066682/game%202015-01-27%2019-43-42-32.png

  7. Hello, guys and well...more guys; glad to be back! For those who don't know me, I was a long time staff member for BHP and the former lead producer of TSR before Teamwolf took the reins.... Confused?... Let me explain. About a year and a half ago I led TSR to its first full public release. Shortly afterwards, I found myself dealing with a lot of personal issues in real life. Deciding I should continue my work, I brushed aside my real life problems only to find myself facing even more issues but this time from inside the BHP community. Soon I was confronted and accused of several false accusations both involving my real and gaming life. As they piled up, I did all I could to extinguish them but it seemed the harder I tried the more difficult it got. Sides began to form and friends soon became enemies. Knowing that I couldn't continue dealing with both sets of problems (and that a lot of these issue couldn't be fixed overnight), I accepted the fact that I would need to step away for a little while or risk losing the game that I poured weeks, months, years into. I passed the torch down to my co-producer TeamWolf and have since taken care of a lot of the issues. I’ve even managed to find the love of my life and can't remember the last time I was this happy. So, when OWA and TeamWolf contacted me and asked if I would like to come back help start a new community as the leader of TSR, I just couldn't say no. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank TeamWolf and danpaul88 looking after TSR so well in my absence. Can't wait to get back to work and get those patches rolling out.

  8. We are pleased to announce a new modding and community hub for all W3D games and associated spin-off games. The site has been founded by several prominent members of the W3D modding community and will provide a range of services to our members regardless of their game and community affiliations. W3D Hub Services W3D Hub Launcher The W3D Hub launcher is a one-stop shop for your W3D gaming needs, providing game downloads and automatic updating, an integrated server browser, centralized management of in-game options and many other features. As one of our core products we will continue to evolve this service and add new and exciting features in the future, such as a server chat lobby and buddy lists. W3D Hub Stats Whilst we appreciate that many communities and servers already run their own stats service, we believe there is still a great deal more that can be done to improve stats in the W3D community. To this end we are developing a brand new stats system which is more tightly coupled with the game server engine and provides more in depth stats than ever before, all linked directly to your W3DHub user account regardless of which username you choose to use in-game, or even which server you play in (as long as they run our stats system, optionally alongside their own).Whilst many of the details are still being worked on and finalized, here is a short list of the features we are hoping to offer Cross-game stats integrated into a single stats profile Detailed breakdown of stats on a per game, per map, per team or even per match level for any player Achievements linked directly to in-game actions Rich support for clans (aggregating clan stats from all members, both in total and average per player) Leaderboards for both individuals and clans Query interface for generating signature images / integrating into your own community website (example usage: host a competition and track scores based on game sessions in your own servers) Server Deployment Also in development is a new server deployment tool which will allow server hosts to install, update and manage their servers and the bots which are installed upon them. More details on this will be announced once they are available. W3D Modding & Development As you might expect from a community founded by modders, there will be a lot of modding related activity in the community. We will offer modding support to any individual or group who wants to work with the W3D engine, including tutorials, FAQs and forum based support for anything W3D. In House Games Popular W3D games *Tiberian Sun: Reborn*, *Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising* and *Battle for Dune* will be developed by our in-house development team. Third Party Studios Third party development studios will be welcome to apply for hosting on our services, including forum areas, access to our launcher system (including the ability to upload new versions and manage access to your test builds using W3D Hub user account groups) and integrating custom achievements in our stats system. As a hub of the W3D community we will provide all such services for free and aim to ensure that all of our services are impartial and treat third party studio content in exactly the same way as that of our own in house studio.

I see some familiar names in the member list, most notably Plokite_Wolf and NaokiP which I know in real life. Good to be here in any case and best of luck to everyone that is taking care of the site!
