  1. Ooh, I like that map. Although I can't help feeling the ore refineries are a little far from the bases. Though I suppose with longer-ranged armor, it probably doesn't matter much. And those tanks are sexy.
  2. My gosh I just noticed it. That's hilarious.
  3. Hasn't this been discussed like, a billion times? And the answer is always that the amount of work to do it would far outweigh the potential benefits. Besides, these guys KNOW this engine. They know it as intimately as a woman(or man. no judging ). Trying to go from the W3D engine to the Unreal kit is like trying to put a lion in Antarctica. And they actually enjoy using it. It's outdated as hell, sure, but they like it.
  4. I've seen a couple teaser images for it, and I'm hoping it's more gritty, like a war movie. I mean, The Force Awakens was a bit darker, more along the lines of Ep. III, but I want a movie about the Rebels themselves, not their leaders or heroes. Maybe some of them struggle with the point of the Rebellion, why they're fighting. Maybe some of them want revenge on the Empire for a particular offense, like the loss of a loved one. Honestly, I just want a good SW movie. TFA was pretty much just watchable. It felt very reused, I mean the basic plotline was almost exactly like Ep. IV's.
  5. Honestly, I don't think this game would feel right with VR capability. I mean, the graphics, although heavily upgraded from their original Renegade state, are still far from what more modern games have. The handling of the weapons and vehicles is very simple; guns don't even have ADS. It just doesn't have the right feel. APB is an awesome game, but it's not super immersive, so adding VR capability would be more of a "we CAN do this" matter, rather than "we SHOULD do this". It would be more like a tech demo than an important game feature. So, fun as it is to think about, even if it was possible, I don't think it should be seriously planned for.
  6. I don't really know enough about comics to pick a favorite super hero. I've only been able to read a couple of either DC or Marvel, and trying to find a place to begin is a daunting task. So I'll stick with Volkov. And if anyone has a problem with that, they can bite my shiny cyborg ass.
  7. Hell yeah man. Sooooo many great tracks. I think there's only like one song in all three of those that I even slightly dislike, and that's Untamed Land.
  8. And then they grow bigger and multiply until you're ATTACKED BY GIANT ANTS BUGS!
  9. It seems like a really cool map, and I loooove the prospect of playing on a dam. But now that Fjord has been found and probably won't need much work to get game-ready, what does it mean for the map poll? Do we still get to choose one? Or is it over?
  10. Well, perhaps you should LISTEN to what Pushwall and a bunch of other people have said about the cruiser. It's not happening. It's been said over and over. This was a joke, you should have understood that from the start, and it was funny for everyone but you.
  11. I never played RA3, so I have no idea what any of those things are.
  12. Hey, don't beat up the doc. Without him there wouldn't be a Chronophere, Prism Tanks, Prism Towers or Mirage tanks, and what would the Allies do without those?
  13. I thought it was hilarious. Kinda disappointing though when I tried to kill the sub pen with it's missiles and they did nothing. I figured they'd be like uber-powerful for shits and giggles.
  14. Woo! I'm not a complete failure! In all seriousness though, thank you. I have some pretty severe anxiety issues, so I tend to worry about trivial things.
  15. ...I didn't mess up anyone's gaming when I played the other day, did I? Someone was complaining about n00bs in another thread, and I'm definitely a n00b. So I had a mini panic attack, and now I need a confirmation that I didn't before I can stop worrying.
  16. *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee* that game of Hostile Waters with the Destroyer rush. I was in that. I feel so included! I'm a part of things!
  17. "AK47s for everyone!" That is what will happen, Mr. Pushwall.
  18. No Pushwall! Don't go over to the dark side! Their cookies are dry and tasteless!
  19. lol. I think the song choices for APB are perfect, but I still associate them with the tiny square soldiers and box tanks of RA1, and I think I always will. Same here, those were my first C&C games. Unfortunately my dad had a problem with "rock and roll" music, which is what RA2/YR's music falls under in his mind, so the music isn't as memorable.
  20. Hell yeah. That was the best song to start a mission with. Just having that play in the background while you built up your base... nostalgiachills.
  21. Same here I listen to his stuff all the time.
  22. Since I started playing C&C when I was about 8, the soundtrack was always one of my favorite parts, although originally a lot of the music freaked me out, especially with TS. I remember the only song I could listen to without scaring myself was Valves. But anyway, my most nostalgic song is a toss up between Act on Instinct and Bigfoot. You'd think Hell March, but honestly, when I think RA, I hear Bigfoot. I'm curious what the rest of you remember as the "song that described C&C", whether it was a classic like Act on Instinct or Just Do It Up, something a bit more middle-ground like Mad Rap or Industrofunk, the FPS-oriented songs of Renegade like Ammo Clip, or even the music of the newest games like Grinder 2. Throw your faves up, and remember "KANE LIVES IN DEATH!"
  23. Well, I just played 4 or five games, and holy crap was it fun.
  24. You know, I've been watching ABP for years, I'd say at least 8, and yet I've never played a multiplayer match. I tend to be a bit uncomfortable with multiplayer games, due to the social aspect, but I've played Reborn before. I think once I've moved and gotten better internet I'll start playing, because it looks like a freaking blast.
