  1. Kane would be most displeased. For myself, the main thing I'm looking forward to right now is Metro: Exodus. The previous two games were absolutely top notch, and the book series was excellent(if a bit of a grueling read), so I'm very excited to play. Just hope my crappy computer can run it. Other than that, definitely Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nothing else recently announced has really struck my fancy, though Battlefield V looks neat, but I'll be waiting for a sale for that.
  2. It's actually a Scavenger Mammoth, from the cancelled Renegade sequel/prequel set in RA2, and that's exactly what it looks like in the test map. From the wiki: http://cnc.wikia.com/wiki/File:Ren2_Mammoth_Tank_Render.png
  3. Wait wait wait, there's a new Metro coming? I didn't see that, can I get a link?
  4. Hey! Glad you agree. Yeah, this is a few tries in, but this time is the closest they've gotten, and the guy leading the charge, Ajit Pai, is a former lawyer for Verizon, so he's got a stake in this. He's pulling a lot of dishonest crap, smearing activist groups, and outright lying about the impact. It's a real mess, man.
  5. Hi all! It's been awhile since I've posted here, I've mostly been lurking, reading updates and such. I had to log back in though, because I have to talk about something extremely important. Net Neutrality. The definition of Net Neutrality is "the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites." This means that all data flows the same way, from everywhere. If you want to watch a movie on Netflix, or stream that movie on a different website, then they will both use the same speed connection, and the connection cannot be slowed down or blocked. However, the FCC has recently voted to strike this down, and is currently in the debating state. Come August(the 8th, I believe), if nothing is done about it, Net Neutrality will be voted out, giving Internet Service Providers like Comcast free reign over your connection speed and that of others. They will be able to freely throttle or block data from any website, for any reason, and charge the owners to get the speed back, without any legal repercussions. I don't know where W3DHub is based, what your finances are like, or what ISPs would charge for uncompromised data flow, but it may very well make this website unusable, and W3DHub's games unplayable. Which is why I want to warn you. W3DHub is a fantastic place, with great members, and talented devs who are still making the most out of a game engine over a decade old, and doing a damn good job of it. Each mod has a lot of love and hard work thrown into it, with some mods still in development, and I want those mods to be able to be shared for years to come, and I'm sure you do too. Please, support Net Neutrality. Call your Representative, call or email the FCC, join a march, anything. The FCC is pushing this hard, but we can push harder.
  6. Loving all the little updates. Sig is beautiful, and the Tank Destroyer actually resembles itself now, instead of a TD mobile artillery piece like the RTS voxel.
  7. My favorite RA memories were actually the skirmishes, though the campaign was a ton of fun. I just remember the AI being insane, throwing massive assault forces at you to wear you down. I rarely won, but that made the few victories I did have even more special.
  8. Yeeeesssss. Such an amazing series. Still wish they'd gone with Thrawn for the new trilogy, but I'll be happy with having him in Rebels.
  9. My gosh. Thrawn in Rebels. It's a dream come true. Like, yuuuussss. Good voice actor too. Feels right. Also, hi everyone! I'm back! I moved and shit, got busy.
  10. I discovered C&C purely randomly. I was like 7 or 8 at the time, and my older cousin's birthday was coming up, so I was at Walmart with my mom picking out a game to give him. I spotted this bright orange box, (I believe it was the Command & Conquer Collection. It had all the games from Dawn to Renegade) with some awesome-looking screenshots on it. I convinced my mom to get it, and when we got home, just to make sure my cousin would like it, my mom let me test it out. I was HOOKED. So a few weeks later I had my own set. Loved it ever since. Haven't ever been a huge part of the community, but I do watch a handful of mods.
  11. Holy crap that's cool. Wish I could figure out how to make bots as powerful as that. The best I managed to come up with was a hovertank. It's very prone to flipping on slopes, but it does pretty well in direct combat. As long as I don't get ganged up on or have a bunch of aircraft shooting at me. 6 Blasters and 3 Plasma... Bursters? They're the second tier of plasma launcher anyway.
  12. But that doesn't make sense, cuz you could park there forever. Maybe they give out too many parking tickets? Or they give them out before the time expires?
  13. Well I suppose if you had both a Tanya and a sniper in an IFV, you could just park it and go after the infantry on foot. Sniper wouldn't be much use though. Maybe a SEAL, but not a sniper.
  14. Why not have Tanya and an attack dog? That way you can just insta-kill infantry by jumping on them, and anything out of range gets rekt by the anti-infantry gun.
  15. TSR is perfectly fine on the W3D engine. Even though it's old, it's extremely versatile from what I've seen and heard from the devs, and honestly, the graphics quality really isn't that bad. You guys keep up the good work, keep using W3D. Also for anyone who is still upset, the W3D hub teams don't even need us. They could take their games, their assets and everything and keep them locked away on their computers so that no one can play them. But they don't. They enjoy their work and they enjoy making us players happy by making their games amazing. They don't have any obligations to us.
  16. Seems like a good idea. Instead of just straight banning people, give them a second chance.
  17. I don't know what the "funnies" group is, but I think whoever it was that suggested SEM be added to it had a point.
  18. The first time I played, I got in the server when there were maybe six people. By the end of the game, there were around 15-16, and by the time my internet went puts, there were probably about 20.
  19. This isn't the RTS man. The Allies don't need to rely on numbers in an FPS game because both sides are balanced against each other. On a perfectly symmetrical map, with an equal number of players for both sides, and all players having equal skills, there'd be a tie. The Soviets rely on raw firepower and armor, and the Allies rely on ranged assaults, stealth and speed. As long as the players know what they're doing, both teams have an equal opportunity to win. And for the server, I check it almost every day, and there's usually at least a handful of people playing. Peak time seems to be between 1:00 and 4:00 PM(EST)
  20. lol yup. Devs aren't gods. They're able to do some pretty godly things, but they can't do everything.
  21. I agree with des, that would be nice. Small games are still a lot of fun, but with a bunch of players it's amazing.
  22. True, but it's not the end of the world. If you coordinate right, you can still beat the opposing team.
  23. As for the first issue, it's probably that you're just getting in late, or getting in after the enemy attacked. As for the second, I've noticed sometimes having multiple people join at once can cause one team to have more players. Although fewer players doesn't necessarily mean a loss. I've played a few games where my side was outgunned, we still managed to win, or at least keep up with the larger team. And I've had games where my side had more players but we were steamrolled by the smaller side. Give the main server another try, it's a lot of fun, even when you have internet that's so bad you get disconnected multiple times.
