  1. Oh no, it’s going to be a nice fresh model that I can’t wait to give to Fabian.
  2. I had actually emailed him about a week ago as part of a little project I’m working on. I did find it funny that you had posted something with him while I was trying to contact him
  3. It came up already that the Destroyer would be a little better at dealing with air units to balance this out. Pushwall is working very hard all the time to get balance right for the players, so have no fear!
  4. Interesting enough, I just got an email back to do a Q&A with him for the community! Great interview. Hopefully we can get a pretty good one!
  5. Hey guys! I just got an email back from Frank, and he'd like us to get a bunch of questions together for him to answer for our community. Hopefully with enough support, we could try to get him to do something more fun in the future! For those of you who might not know who Frank Klepacki is, click his name for a little more information. That's right, he's made just about all the music you love listening to while playing any of your favorite C&C games. I'd like as many people to participate as possible. I want to show him just how much we love his music and want to know more about him. Post any questions you might have, and I'll collect them to send as a Q&A. I appreciate everyone who helps!
  6. Soviet MiG-29 Update Hello everyone! I'm excited to bring you another update on the MiG. Fabian has been working very hard to detail the MiG to be one of the best looking models we've ever had in Red Alert: A Path Beyond. He still has more to do, but we're too excited to share progress with you! Check it out below! The MiG is currently going to be a hard counter to the Allied Cruiser in the future. The team has been doing a lot of discussion on how to handle and balance it. We think everyone will love it once it's finally in-game. Stay tuned for more exciting changes coming soon! [blurb]Check out this exciting new update on the MiG-29![/blurb]
  7. I guess I should’ve just name it, “what games are you excited for?” instead, lol. I need to play the series over again, and watch the anime.
  8. I really need to give Ace Combat a try. It’s been in my backlog forever (along with everything else).
  9. @BattleLaf needs more to do anyways. Shouldn’t be a problem
  10. Advanced Airfield when, Raap?
  11. It’s calming when the sun doesn’t burn it up! I do enjoy it though. It’s nice to see when you leave and come home from a long day of work. Nothing says, “Welcome Home” more than something you did with your own two hands
  12. Due to Florida recently feeling like you’re living on the surface of the sun, my garden became toasted. This weekend, I decided to go ahead and replace everything with plants more friendly to higher heats. I’m not in any way a landscaper, but I don’t think I do a bad job when it comes to it. Let’s get to it! Started by pulling everything out and leveling the ground. Replaced the stone edgers, and also decided to add a raised section in the back. Next, I laid top soil and started planting the bushes I got to the raised section. I hopefully want these to grow to cover some of the brick for now, until I have a chance to replace them (they aren’t very pretty, and have a lot of damage to them I’m general). I’ve always liked marble and stones, but didn’t want to do the entire thing with them. I decided to use an older pot I had, and did something to add a little character to the garden. I think it turned out pretty well. After that, I decided to start adding the bulk of the plants that I’d got. Some I already had in planters, waiting for the chance to put somewhere. There time finally came to shine! Added a few smaller flowers around the open spaces, and decided to call it complete. There’s also a smaller area that I decided to do again also, since the flowers here burned up as well. I wanted to keep flowers here, but they never faired well with all the sun that hits the front of the house. I decided to do something with pots, so that I could move them into the shade if it gets too hot. Last but not least, I put mulch around everything. I decided on a dark mulch, since most of everything is green for the time being until the flowers start to bloom. I plan to do another area next week. Feel free to share any of your gardens and whatnot also!
  13. I appreciate the history lesson! Should help anyone else who's curious to know. I hope so also, as it moves pretty fast right now. Still too early be worried about for the time being!
  14. The game has come a long way. I can't imagine how the reactions would've been years ago from people who said it couldn't be done. Exactly like it was in Red Alert. It's main purpose would be a hard counter to the Allied Cruiser once that's in-game (?). As far as how it's possible, @Pushwallwould probably be the person to explain that. A few nights ago, Silverlight had actually spawned a few for players to try out. You'll have to bug him next time you see him in a not-so-serious match The kind words go a long way. It means a lot to the team, I promise
  15. He was actually very surprised when I asked for it. He was still around when we decided not to switch engines. Things just got lost over time. Funny enough, if you check his deviantart page, he talks about the MiG, Yak, and Badger Bomber being all beacon based since it’s “not possible” to have them be flown on the W3D engine. Boy, did we prove everyone wrong!
  16. With the recent addition of the Chrono Tank to the game, a few strange things have been happening. It's been feeling a lot like 2006 around here, and we have another blast from the past for you! Thanks to Sir Phoenixx (original modeler for most weapons/vehicles in the game), we now have the MiG and are currently working to get it ready for use. Fabian is currently doing some detail work on it, along with setting up animations for the landing gear! Do note that it has no landing gear on this model, so take off and landing are a little funny!
  17. While a bit tanky here compared to how they were in Red Alert, they also don’t level buildings quickly. On top of that, you can’t have huge amounts of them since this isn’t an RTS. Keep in mind that due to the huge price tag, losing one is crippling to the Allies. It’s not something you want to blindly rush in with, which 80% of the time is exactly what they’re used for right now.
  18. Impressed with the amount of work this probably took. I'd be driven crazy using something like this, though. Nice job either way! Tanya scares me.
  19. I think the problem is more infantry only maps have been added, or made more complex then they needed to be. I see people complaining about maps like FoI and Fissure, but those maps never got players to 'empty the server' back in the day. They were fun and quick games with only 1-2 paths to take. It was also a great way to help players get better at infantry fights. Classic Fissure was 80% about taking the middle of the map, while a few lucky players might sneak to the side path and wipe half a team not paying attention to the radar. Classic FoI was about the same, but the fog and not knowing what you'll find made the map great. The ghost soldier were added later on, and while pretty neat at the time, were slightly annoying (I actually remember testing the map before release, and they could actually deal damage ). The Ant map is pretty cool also, but I'd honestly like to see them on a map with bases. Possibly as a harassment that attacks both bases randomly. The current infantry only map just doesn't rub me right. I don't really enjoy maps where you can get spawn camped, and has so much cover that most times it's impossible to actually hit people. Just my opinion, of course. Geez, we really do enjoy hijacking topics and talking about anything that comes to mind
